CHAPTER ONE: NEW WORLD / character sheet

Nothing lasts forever.

"Wait, today is the last day YGGDRASIL servers will be online. Would you like to stay and–"

Momong paused, watching HeroHero's avatar disappear. A sigh escaped him. One by one he watched his guildmates disappear, all alone. The Tomb of Nazarick was so empty, no longer filled with life it once had. 41 of his closest friends, gone. He relaxed into his seat, defeat and resignation apparent in his virtual form. But a notification appeared on his screen.

'keiken has logged in.'

Momonga rose, watching the dragonoid avatar appear in the room he was standing in. A small figure showed up. Feminine, with tanned skin and darker brown hair, with accompanied almond streaks. Blue eyes with faded scars underneath stared into him. The eyes began to fill with life as they moved around, observing the room before finally meeting his eye sockets. A happy emote was thrown into the air, "Hello Momonga!" Momonga waved and reciprocated the emote, "Hey, keiken. I didn't think you were going to come back." Keiken moved to place herself next to him before holding a bashful expression. "Ah, I've been inactive for way too long," she threw a sad emote into the air, "But once I heard the servers were closing I just knew I had to see everyone one last time."

Momonga placed a bony hand on her shoulder. "I feel the same, I'm glad you're here. I was hard taking care of this place by myself!" He sent a joking emote to reassure her. She blinked before smiling, "Hah, of course you did Mr. Guild Leader." Behind his DIVE gear Momonga smiled, it was a old name she used to tease him. He was snapped out of his thoughts by a comment of hers.

"Now that I think of it, it still does look really nice! It makes me so happy…"

keiken wasn't facing him while she spoke, instead staring at the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown to the wall. Momonga stared at her back for a bit, before proposing for the both of them to move to the throne room. "To reminisce?" He asked hopefully, keiken gave a little laugh before agreeing. Momonga grabbed the staff on their way, and the toy participated in conversation chatting with each other like how they did back when everyone was still around. Like things never changed.

The two were walking when keiken came to a sudden pause. Momonga turned to see her staring at the Pleaides Battle Maids, and the head butler Sebas Tian.

"Say Momonga?" The skeleton hummed in response.

"Can we move them? To the throne room with us, just one last time?" She asked, and Momonga could hear the slight plead in her voice. He nodded, "Of course. Follow Me." He stated, the NPC's going into motion behind the two supreme beings. keiken gave a smile emote. "Thank you." She said, as they continued their walk. He hummed.

As they approached the throne room, Momonga sat in his rightful seat. keiken, having nowhere to sit, chose to sit on the left arm of his chair. We noticed the NPC's were still standing, Momonga asking them to "Stand By." keiken kicked her avatar's short legs as they hung above the ground.

"Albedo." Momonga states, looking at the overseer to his right, that keiken failed to notice. keiken remembered, Tabula's creation. She was the overseer of the Floor Guardians, the NPCs of her close friends. She was snapped out of her thoughts by Momonga opening and observing Albedo's settings. The long list of words made her head scramble, she remembered how the brain eater loved how much detail they put into their creations. Thinking about them puts a weight on her heart. "Gosh, Tabula was always such a settings maniac." She heard Momonga grumble, causing her to laugh. He stopped at the end of the list, looking at the NPC in question.

"Eh? She's a bitch?" The comment almost made keiken topple onto the floor laughing. He had the dragonoid clutching her stomach in overbearing laughter. The skeleton put up an exasperated emote, "Well, Tabula also enjoyed contradicting characters. keiken quit her laughter once she noticed Momonga using the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown to delete that very line of text that made her laugh.

"What are you doing?" Monga froze and keiken looked at the floating screen only to read 'She is deeply in love with Momonga.' keiken gave a deadpan emote, staring at him intently. He awkwardly chuckled, "No harm no foul?" She sighed, he's not wrong. The servers would only be for–she froze. They only had less than a minute left together. Momonga placed a hand on her shoulder, had the NPCs in the throne room 'bow down'. The two sat in silence, mentally counting down the seconds their DIVE gear would kick them out from the game.

But the moment never came. keiken blinked, but for real this time. She could this form's eyelids move. "What–?" She breathed out, flexing her hands feeling her muscles. She turned her head to Momonga only to see he's equally as confused–standing abruptly. The game menu was no longer visible and she couldn't open it, she furrowed her eyebrows.

"Lord Momonga? Lady keiken? Is something wrong?"

The supreme beings stared at her in shock. The guardian tilted her head, not noticing their inner turmoil. keiken was dumbfounded, why the hell was an NPC talking!? Next to her, she heard the guild leader stuttering, "The–The GM call function isn't working." Albedo blinked and turned to keiken, who was muttering that something was strange. "My apologies my lord, I have no answers. I ask that you educate me to this 'GM call' so that I may assist you better." keiken noticed the way hey eyes shined and her lips moved. "Holy shit." The dragonoid muttered under her breath, before placing a hand to her mouth. It wasn't like her to curse, in fact it was rare for her no matter how frustrated she got.

Then she noticed something else, she was exhausted logging on–having just come home from work. But now she felt like she do 1o0 laps around the Tomb of Nazarick. She paused when she heard soft moaning next to her. She turned her head to see Momonga fondling Albedo's breasts. She simply stared, "Momonga?" The skeleton stopped and stared at keiken, who was giving him an 'are you done yet?' expression. He released his bones from her and Albedo whined in protest. keiken ws surprised until she remembered a certain magic caster changed her settings. She stared him down some more, and she could almost imagine the sweat creasing from his brow. Momonga cleared his throat, "Albedo I have orders for you as well." As well? keiken finally noticed that the Pleaides and Sebas have left the throne room. She'll ask Momonga later.

"Yes, Lord Momonga." The overseer dutifully stood straight, prepared ot receive. "Aside from the guardians of the 4th and 8th floors, have everyone meet at the 6th floors' colosseum." She nodded and began making her way out of the throne room.

"No harm, no foul." keiken quoted, once Albedo left the room. Momonga place a hand on his head. "Damn, I can't believe I tainted Tabula's NPC like that." Keiken put her hands on her hips. "I don't wanna say I told you so, but I told you so." Momonga stared at her, and she was able to infer that he didn't need to hear that right now. She grimaced, scratching her cheek. "Sorry, I've been acting super weird since all this shit started." Her frown deepened as she cursed once more.

Momonga sat up slightly, "No, same thing here. Whenever I seem to feel a strong emotion something comes to shut me down." Keiken nodded.

Hearing his voice, it was deeper and more commanding than he used to sound. Her voice had become somewhat higher pitched as well. "It might have something to do with our race, or the roles we stuck to." The skeleton guessed with a hand to his chin.

"Well, it's something to think about later I suppose." keiken sighed, wondering how she got roped into this mess. But, she's at least glad she didn't have to do it alone. Looking at Momonga, who she found was staring at her as well.

She smiled at him, "I' m happy we're together, Momonga. I don't think I could handle this alone." The skeleton nodded, "I feel the same."

The two finally decided to teleport into the 6th floor together. Staring at the rings of Ainz Ooal Gown they wore, they answered the question of whether they could use items. While they awaited the guardians, they were planning on testing magic and skills.

Entering the large battle arena, a call of their names caught their attention. It was Aura, the creation of one of keiken's closest friends, jumping down from a high ledge and coming to meet the supreme beings.. Keiken's eyes shone at the sight, running up to the little elf and hugging her.

"Aura!"

"Lady keiken!"

The elf seemed stunned at the large show of affection for a moment but quickly grinned back at the dragonoid. keiken let go and speed back, before noticing something missing. "Eh? Where's Mare?" Aura blinked before looking at her sides. She rapidly exclaimed before calling to her brother. "MARE! You're being rude to the supreme beings!" Mare peeped over the edge, "But I'm too scared to jump down." Aura pouted before shouting once more, "MA–RE!" The boy whined before making his way down as well. keiken grinned, and rushed to give Mare the same treatment she had given his sister. The boy gasped at being rushed but she could see the smile on his face. A throat was cleared loudly before all three of them made their way back to Momonga.

"Greeting Lord Momonga! Welcome to the 6th floor!" The twins greeted in unison.

"Hello you two, apologies. We will only be intruding for a little while." The skeleton slid his to keiken, who pulled an eyelid down at him and stuck out her tongue.

Aura interjected, "You're joking? You're 2 of the 41 supreme beings! There's no way you could ever intrude." Mare nodded in agreement. Momonga hummed, "Would the two of you like to assist me with something?" He said, drawing attention to the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown in his hand."

The twins gasped before Mare exclaimed, "Amazing! Is that the legendary weapon only you can wield, Lord Momonga? The legendary weapon of the tomb?" The guild leader nodded, "Indeed."

Holding up the staff he elaborated, "This is the weapon of all of the combined efforts of our past members, the staff of Ainz Ooal Gown." The twins stared in awe. keiken smiled, feeling the pride of her guild swell in her heart. "Anyway I would like you two to help me run some tests with it. And Aura," the elf perked up, "The other guardians are going to meet here within the hour." The young girl groaned, "Does that mean Shalltear is coming?"

"Er, yes?" Ainz said awkwardly. The female twin sighed. Keiken for the first time in forever finally interjected, "Also I'm gonna be testing my skills while waiting for them, so apologies for any damage." The dragonoid rubbed the back of neck while smiling at the guardians of this floor. "No worries Lady keiken, it will all be dealt with by the time you're finished." Mare said, hoping to ease the smaller supreme being, keiken nodded.

She could feel the power running through her, and something inside told her it was too dangerous to use. She'll have to hold back a bit when testing.

All of a sudden she wished she chose a different class.

hi ! my first story on my site and I chose a pretty risky fandom lmao. let me be clear I have only watched the ANIME. everything else ik came from the wiki or reddit. im still doing research on this class but i'm guessing that the skills keiken will use in the future will probably be made up since the wiki doesn't have a lot of information on it either. ALSO i placed a character sheet in my profile including her stats, personality, looks and outfit. i'll be adding singature weapons and armor in the future ( maybe ). this story requires so much effort to make it look good and my inspiration will be down at times. reviews and positive feedback will help ! also additional information on the berserker class would be nice but if it's too late into the story ill probably just roll with what i've got going.
