I did this as part of the fanfic review that Kronii and Mumei were doing a little bit ago. I forgot about this fic until looking at my google docs and thought I would share it here.

The waiter set the red, berry milkshake between the two of them, a lone straw sticking out of the whipped cream. Kronii frowned. "I thought we ordered two?" she asked.

The waiter shrugged. "We ran out of berries, so you only get one," they said.

"What? That doesn't make any sense, why would yo-" Kronii trailed off as Mumei grabbed the milkshake, dragging it closer to her side of the table. The waiter left the table, and Kronii narrowed her eyes as Mumei's lips wrapped around the straw. "What do you think you're doing?" Kronii asked.

"Drinking a milkshake," Mumei replied, her voice muffled by the straw.

"I can see that, but don't you think that I should get to drink it, since I am paying for this date afterall."

Mumei pulled away from the straw, swallowing. She tapped her chin with a finger for a second before responding, "Nah."

Mumei resumed drinking from the milkshake, and Kronii leaned back in her seat. Stupid restaurant, running out of food, what kind of place does that. Kronii thought. She looked around; nobody else in the diner had a milkshake, they all had soda or coffee. Or at least she hoped that was coffee in those mugs.

The whipped cream was beginning to slide into the glass itself, no longer decorating the top. Kronii drummed a finger on the table. Stopping time for a bit to steal a sip won't break anything. Hopefully.

Kronii gwaked as Mumei embedded her dagger into the table. Mumei smiled sweetly at her. "I sharpened it recently, thought you might want to see it," she said.

Light glimmered along the edge of the blade. Kronii laughed nervously. "Y-yeah, looks really sharp."

Mumei slid the milkshake next to the dagger before looking into Kronii's eyes. "If you can give me something I want, you can have the rest."

Kronii glanced from Mumei's eyes to the dagger. "And if you don't like what I give you?"

"Then I drink the rest of it, duh."

Kronii grumbled, and rested her chin in her hand. Something Mumei wants. She glanced around the restaurant; there were pictures of flowers, vistas, fruits. Wait. Flowers.

Flower.

Kronii froze time, and slid out of the booth she was sharing with Mumei. She left the restaurant, and stopped on the sidewalk of the city they were in. She rested her hands on her hips, looking around. Flower, flower, where to find a nice flower for a nic… well she's an owl.

She strolled through the city, peeking into windows, and giving an annoyed sigh at the lack of any flowers. She wandered for what must have been hours before finally stopping in her tracks, her eyes widening.

There were flowers in the window. A single, bright, red rose. And a dozen other flowers nobody would care about. Kronii pressed against the glass. It was perfect. Surely Mumei would like it, right?

She went into the flower store, and plucked the red rose from the dozen of other boring flowers it was surrounded by.

Just gonna borrow that for a bit. Kronii thought.

Kronii rushed back to the restaurant, bursting through the door. She slid to a stop, shooting a glare at the waiter from before. She kicked them in the shin before going back to her booth, setting the rose before Mumei.

She snapped her fingers, time resuming. She smirked as the waiter yelped, grabbing their leg. Mumei cocked her head, looking at the rose.

Mumei pointed at it. "Flower."

"Yes, Mumei, flower."

Mumei picked the rose up and looked it over before finally nodding in approval. She slid the milkshake over to Kronii. Kronii took a sip; closing her eyes as she savored that sweet berry flavor. The taste of victory.

"Hey, Kronii, do you know what that was?" Mumei asked, a sly note in her voice.

"What?" Kronii asked, opening her eyes.

Mumei smirked. "An indirect kiss."
