Disclaimer: I don't own the characters from Doom nor from Hazbin Hotel /Helluva Boss. Also there are going to be some changes made by me so if something in the Hazbin plot doesn't seem right to you.. You know why that is. Also I know that the Marauders are usually pretty bland and overall just your typical mini bosses, but I wanted to try something new and interesting.

Chapter 1

The Marauder swung his battle ax as he dashed at the Doom Slayer. The Slayer managed to dodge the attack of the demon though and immediately after took out his Super Shotgun and dealt another shot at the undead Night Sentinel. The Marauder grunted and stumbled back.

He tried to take out his shield, but before he could get ready to defend himself , the Slayer charged at him and began mercilessly pounding him, delivering hit after hit.

The Marauder tried to escape from this near death experience by using one of his wolf illusions as a means to distract the raging marine. The demon then used the opportunity to grab the Slayer by the belt and neck and throw him aside.

Feeling like his body got possessed by an unfamiliar feeling that he has never felt before, the former Night Sentinel opened a portal in order to escape. But before he managed to get out of there, the Slayer delivered one final blow by shooting him in the back with a rocket launcher. A roar of pain could be heard for a split second before the black and red portal closed.

Charlie was in her room, sitting on the bed. The room was almost entirely illuminated by an outside source which gave it this really dark red coloration. Charlie let out a painful sigh and sniffed up, trying to hold in her tears. Suddenly she heard a knocking on her door and after a few seconds, the door opened and a familiar face walked in.

The princess of Hell turned around her head slightly as she felt the gentle touch of her long term girlfriend Vaggie. The grey demon girl sat down next to Charlie and asked her, "Charlie, you've been here for hours, what's wrong?"

"Do you know what day we are?"

Vaggie scratched her chin and tried to remember. Suddenly her only eye widened and she gave her girlfriend a concerned look. Realising she had to do something, the grey demon girl awkwardly scratched the back of her head and said, "In the past few years we actually managed to get a little bit more prepared for the incoming… Well, you know. And besides, you did what you could to convince the others to redeem themselves," Vaggie smiled at Charlie, but her royal girlfriend responded with only a single sigh.

"Look, Charlie-"

"I failed, Vaggie."

Those words caused Vaggie's pupil to shrink as she replied with "What?"

"Didn't you hear me, I said I fucking failed, -" Charlie suddenly burst out "- ,Another extermination will happen in a few hours and I haven't been able to rehabilitate anyone! I am a failu-"

Vaggie frowned and grabbed Charlie by the shoulders, cutting her mid sentence and forcing her to look her in the eyes.

"Charlie, get yourself together for Satan's sake! You are not a failure! It is not your fault that these assholes out there refuse to redeem themselves! Those are things you are not responsible for and you are definitely not the source for them!"

The young princess of hell was caught off guard by this reaction and just looked aside, sniffing up. Vaggie, feeling guilty for shouting at her, gently wrapped her arms around Charlie's body and pulled her closer for a hug.

"I am sorry, hun. I know you want to help your people and I understand it is hard for you to watch them get slaughtered, but sitting here and moping won't do anything. You also have to stop listening to what those jerks, like that bitch Killjoy, are saying and focus on what's important. Besides you know I will always be here for you and I want you to know that I truly believe in your cause. So how about you replace this sad face with that beautiful smile of yours? "

Vaggie placed her hand on Charlie's face and made her smile by using her thumbs to gently pull up her mouth.

Charlie giggled and pulled her girlfriend closer for a kiss. While doing so the young princess threw a quick look at her watch. Only 1 hour and 45 minutes until the Exorcists come again and the death and destruction begin.

With a trembling hand the Marauder tried to lift himself up from the cold stone ground. He grunted and tried to remove his mask as quickly as possible as he puked out some blood. The demon crumbled down immediately after that. The powerful warrior was now laying down on the ground, with his head in the puddle of blood. The death in the hands of that false idol out there now seemed like the better choice.

The fact that the demon somehow managed to survive this encounter with the Slayer, a fate a lot of his brothers couldn't share with him, made the Marauder to think about his life as a whole up to this point, his mind filling with thoughts and memories from way back then when he was just another Night Sentinel, serving his cast until the wretched Maykrs came by.

As his mind flooded with all sorts of questions, one of them being particularly "intriguing" to him - Did running off of a battle count as a weakness?

"Of course it does-," his red eyes glowed up brighter as his strength slowly recovered ",-but then again, having the chance to live longer is not bad either. But for what exactly does a man, who has given up everything, live?" The demon warrior slowly stood up and picked up his mask, stretching his sore muscles afterwards.

"Definitely not for the glory of the battle nor for the riches he will obtain although being recognised is nice. After all, wasn't that the reason I got turned into this monster? I guess then the right question to ask is For what exactly does a man, whose world doesn't need him, live for?"

The Marauder looked left and right, hoping nobody could see him talk to himself, before he lifted up his head and looked at the endless dark blue void above him, his eyes focusing on the millions if not billions of stars that were just hanging there. It was almost like he was looking for a divine sign to give him the answer. But when that didn't happen the Marauder simply let out a growling sigh and simply kicked off the dust and rocks in front of him before checking carefully if all of his weapons were still in his possession.

Luckily, he didn't lose anything during the battle. And after counting the amount of ammo he had, the former Night Sentinel began to slowly walk forward. Suddenly one of his portals opened up and he walked through it, entering another one of Hell's dimension.

His steps' movement became faster, almost like he was running. A new portal opened and sent him to yet another remote area, this time one of the many fiery pits where most demons resigned. As the Marauder started running even faster, he had to take out his weapons in order to clean off any potential obstacles that may come in his way.

He wasn't sure what exactly he was doing or where he was going. All he wanted was to just get out of this damned place. His acceleration caused the dimensions to blur until all he could see was red and black. There was no stop now and he knew it.

So he ran and ran, and ran until he was outside of his own world. Suddenly flashes of light obscured his vision, but that didn't stop him and his feet soon stepped on solid ground.

The citizens of Pentagram City were minding their own business and everyone was doing what they were doing until suddenly something appeared in the middle of the busy street, causing the cars that were driving to either stop or crash somewhere aside. This accident gained the attention of some of the demons and the ones who were affected by it and looked at the weird red and black portal. Then they saw how something came out of it.

It was a humanoid figure, approximately ten or more feet tall. It appeared to be male, having a very muscular and bulky body and was also covered in some type of fantasy-like green armor which was covering most of its body with the exception of the abdominal area from which they could see his pale gray skin.

This creature had a skull-like head and his mouth was covered by some sort of muzzle-like mask. On its head it had horns - two long ones on his forehead and two smaller ones, coming from the sides of his head and pointing straight forward.

The Marauder turned his head in confusion, trying to process what was this place. It kind of resembled the Hell he knew well, but it had none of the traits the demon was used to. And as the Marauder kept standing in the middle of the street, his thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the loud horn of a coming car.

The demon almost instinctively took out his ax and with a single movement of his hand, he sliced the vehicle that came in his way in half and got into a defending position, but the demons of this realm seemed to be concerned with other matters.

The Marauder then heard the loud booming sound of a ringing bell and it then got followed by a random voice shouting, "THEY ARE COMING!"

The Marauder didn't know what to do as almost all of the demons on the streets began running away in different directions. As the undead Sentinel looked around he suddenly lifted up his head towards the pentagram-like sky and saw how a flash of light appeared across it.

It was then followed by a white beam which made its way to the surface. As the light disappeared the Marauder could see the surprise it brought with it. There, around 32 feet away from him, five figures were standing. They all looked the same, having slender bodies with feathery wings, horns sticking out of their heads and some glowing yellow circles that were floating just above them.

As they spot the Marauder, one of them tilted slightly their head and while holding their weapon, charged directly towards the Marauder.

Back in the hotel, after Charlie finally got some strength to get out of her room, she went downstairs to see if everything was okay. As she and Vaggie walked into the living room, Angel Dust allured their attention with the words, "Hey girls, you need to check this out." .

Vaggie scowled at the spider demon, but Angel ignored this and grabbed the two girls by the arms and pulled them to the living room where a live broadcast was being shown on the TV. Charlie's smile began to disappear again and Vaggie's anger towards Angel grew more and more as they both looked at the news broadcast. But the sight they saw, however, made them forget their initial emotions.

Five- No,four Exterminators fighting what appears to be an ancient looking demon in green armor. The three Hell residents watched silently, as the armored creature moved around with an incredible speed for its size, using his red laser-like battle ax and managing to slice one of the Exterminators in half with it while keeping the others away using its massive shotgun.

The Exterminators weren't prepared for this and so they tried using different tactics to take down the Marauder. Two of them flew high, so that they could better aim their spears while the other two distracted their enemy. The ones in the air aimed and threw their weapons at the Marauder, but he managed to take out his shield and was able to deflect them.

He then took out his shotgun and delivered another killing blow, right in the face of the closest Exorcist. After this successful kill, the former Night Sentinel tried to reach forward the neck of the other creature, but it managed to slip away. It was at this very moment that the Exorcists were finally able to score one solid hit on the Marauder.

As the enemy's spear pierced his back, the Marauder let out a painful groan. The Exorcist reached to it and took it out immediately after, splashing some blood on the pavement. But much to its surprise, this didn't kill the demon. Instead the warrior in green turned around and with a bloodthirsty roar he sliced through his enemy.

And after a quick reload, the Marauder turned around, ready to deal with the last Exorcist, but he was nowhere to be found. As the demon put back his weapons, he looked at the dead bodies of the creatures he just fought. He kneeled down and decided to inspect them, but just then he saw the large crow that had formed around him. Little did he know that his actions were being filmed and all he could do was to stare blankly at his surroundings.
