Two eyes snapped open as a figure lurched forward, arms flailing wildly as they fell flat on their face. Taking a few moment to calm themselves, the figure took a few deep breaths, or at least they tried to. Frowning, the figure instead sat up and looked back at where they fell from. Endless darkness spans the horizon. Not a single object, not a single sign, not even a speck of dust. Not even darkness exist, yet is was the closest way to describe it. Even so, the figure snarled, knowing that beyond the darkness exist things not even they can comprehend. It took a few more moments for the figure to stop shaking, then a few more for it to stand.
Dusting off non-existing dust from its body, the figure took one more look into the darkness. The nothingness that spreads beyond, then with a smile they gave it a single finger which sums up everything it felt for the darkness, yet conveyed so little. Felling a little satisfied, the figure turned around and started walking, leaving the wall of darkness behind them. The figure once again remembers where they are and with it, how their situation came to be. Scratching their chin, the figure looked down upon itself, noting the lack of clothing.
Rather then covering up, the figure instead was focused intently on its flat chest, there etched or rather pulsed, was the number 0.1% At once the figure stopped moving, blankly staring at the numbers, before showing several different emotions at once. . . Before finally ending with a blank look. As if sensing the figure's distress, the wall of darkness gave off a peculiar aura. As if it was relishing in the figure's loss. Without looking back, the figure gave another finger, this time with both hands. Clicking its tongue, the figure continued to walk, never once looking back, and all the while keeping both hands firmly in the air.
On a somewhat sunny afternoon, one random person from 9 billion people wanted to create a reaction story from a certain light novel he had been reading. Although they had been multiple versions of the same concept, the most well praised being more focused on someone's misfortune. Because of that, this random person knows all too well how much effort and commitment it takes to create, maintain and continue it until the very end. In the first place, this person knows not on the concepts of writing, nor did they score very well on their school exams essays, how will they manage? A good flow of story? Writing checks? Spelling? What are those, are they edible?
Actually, what am I even doing? Writing in the third person is such a drag, I'm sure my high school English teacher (Ms Liza, bless her kind heart) will definitely disapprove of this, but well, I was never a good writer in the first place! In case you haven't caught on, this is an somewhat weird Author's note, a little bit of insight to what is coming ahead I guess. Personally, I really want to do this, to write not only the reactions but to expand on the possibilities that this story can bring.
I guess its better to start from the beginning. Hello there, my name is Trial-Run Author! As the name suggests, this is all just a trial-run! So don't expect some good writing, heck don't even expect good flow, spelling or character dialogues! I don't even think I can write the characters with 100% accuracy. I'm just someone who's just out of high school and with a lot of time on their hands that thought "I guess I'll take a swing at it". Anyways, I do hope I can complete at least 1 novel, or at the very least 1 arc? Well, in case you still don't get it, what I am trying to do is utter madness, (I'm afraid of criticism), that some might call me an utter idiot for even trying. But here we are, and here is the first chapter. Do feel free to comment and leave reviews, I'll be reading them but most likely won't be replying cause I'm a loser (and not cause I don't know how to socialize! Definitely not!)
TLDR; Thanks for reading and look forward for chapter 2! (Which is the official first "reaction" I guess.
PS: IDK how to make line break, sorry bout that! If anyone is kind enough to share, please do! (Why yes, this is my first time using fanfiction! How did you know?)
Yours, TR A.
