Sara desperately wanted to dance so she grabbed Ava's hand and led her wife off the couch. "Dance party!" she shouted.

Ava eyed her warily. "Fine, let's do this!" Sounded a little fun, at least. She laughed and twirled Sara around.

Sara smiled at her and then dipped Ava. There was no music but they took care of that by ordering Gideon to play some of their favorite songs. "I love you!" she shouted over the din.

"I love you too!" Ava yelled back.

A love song started playing, and the two began to slow dance. "We should do this more often." Sara knew why they didn't - the others tended to crash whatever the fuck they were doing, no matter what - but the point still stood.

"Hell yeah we should, baby!" Admittedly, Ava could be talked into anything Sara wanted to do with her, wanting to spend as much time with her wife as possible.

"Glad we're in agreement!" Sara kissed her, and the two of them continued their dance party.

They rarely got the time off to do this but definitely intended to make the most of it - dance parties were fun. And of course, they weren't alone for long since the others did crash, as expected, but that was fine with them - they were family. Family was supposed to irritate them and have as much fun as they possibly could with each other.

Sara and Ava planned on having some more private dance parties - sexy and otherwise - in their room when they had the chance, and planned to lock the door so they could bar the others from entering.

Life on the Waverider could be exhausting but these fun, relaxing days more than made up for it, and that was what Sara and Ava lived for as co-captains.
