Arthur is in his final term at Camelot U. Slated to start law school & join his father's law firm, he only has one minor obstacle: a required elective class. And his exams, his research, and his father's pestering. Turns out, there's a lot on his plate. Cue Literature Professor Merlin Emrys, who is like no other professor Arthur's ever met before.

An old friend of Gaius's reaches out for help when a plague strikes Camelot. When they discover it's sorcery, Arthur finds himself in the difficult place of working with a sorcerer under his father's nose. A task that is complicated by the discovery of a dark secret beneath Camelot.

Arthur gets drunk and buys a flower shop. Naturally, he expects Merlin to deal with it. Modern AU.

Working in a chain cafe is no way to spend eternity, but Merlin's too tired to even think about trying for something better. Striking up a conversation with the frantic student who's been camping in the corner for most of the day is just one more way of killing time. He wasn't expecting a crash course in medieval lit.
