This is a short drabble about Merlin and Arthur. It's also poetry.

Merlin waits for Arthur. It's his destiny, his promise. But he doesn't go through all those centuries alone—not completely. There are positives to this time, as slowly Merlin learns to finally accept rewards for everything he has done. This takes time, since he deserves the great rewards that aren't in the easily recognizable form of knighthood and handshakes and gold.

What happens when a 21st century girl gets stuck in the era of King Arthur? How long will she be there and what friends will she make, or enemies?

The time spent with the lamia or under her spell just doesn't go away and is easily forgotten. It lingers in the back of the mind reminding you whenever it seemed you forgot. Arthur doesn't help with his constant questions just trying to get to the bottom of Merlin's strange attitude.

Arthur saw Merlin fall. He couldn't believe his eyes, Morgana had just stabbed Merlin and Arthur couldn't do anything about it. "Merlin" His voice was no more than a whisper yet it still found a way to crack. "Don't worry Arthur, I'll see you soon" Merlin promised as the guards dragged him away, and back to his cell. Arthur wondered if that was the last time he would ever see him.

This story has the same main plot as Merlin, only it has some major twists. Merlin and Guinevere are the same person, and that person is a prideful Guinevere. Lancelot is a dragon who can take on humanoid form. There's a love triangle between Lancelot, Guinevere, and Arthur, with Guinevere stuck in the middle.
