A companion to a play-through of the Mass Effect story featuring a (mostly) Paragon, Earthborn, War Hero Female Shepard. Focuses on her thoughts at key moments in the trilogy and an eventual Liara romance. The final chapters extend slightly past the ending.

Just a wee little oneshot because I can't get enough of these two. Self control? Never heard of it.

Commander Shepard's body is recovered from the ruins of the Citadel in the days following the war. Once again, she will open her eyes to a world changed by destruction. Finding purpose in a time of peace is not easy for the Savior of the Galaxy, but she will realize that even in the calmest of weather, there will always be a storm on the horizon.

In the weeks leading up to the Normandy's journey through the Omega-4 relay to face the Collectors, Garrus is forced to confront his worst fears. Can he overcome them, or will his nightmares jeopardise the entire mission?

DO NOT open this if you have a sophisticated sense of humor. Also do not open this if you want any semblance of a plot or purpose in what you read. In fact, it's probably better if everyone just stays away from it all together. I promise this one will stay a one shot.

To the syndicate, this peace is a lie and all that remains is complacency. To Raven, no one is innocent and the message he brings will rattle the universe to the core.

What a shame it would be, to win this war only to realize that everything we fought for was nothing more than false hope and empty promises. Perhaps we were naive, to assume that life would be easy once the fighting stopped. Liara/Shepard(F)

(W)Post-Control Ending! Written for MisDirected's Sept writing challenge. Summary: The Reapers have ceased their attacks on the galaxy's inhabitants, but they are not gone. They appear and disappear, leaving fear and worry in their wake. What are they up to? What could they possibly want, if not to pick up where they left off? And what does Garrus' visor have to do with it?
