After over 1000 years, Merlin finds Arthur again in the middle of a crowd in modern London. Post 5x13.

It still possessed him years later, when dozens of executions had been etched into his mind. 2K oneshot. Arthur must execute prisoners and live with the memory - and he is not the only one haunted by the memories. TW: Blood.

Merlin gets cursed and shrunk down to only four inches tall. But the important bit to remember was that it was not Arthur's fault.

Gwen notices something about Merlin right around Christmas time and it leads to a stunning revelation about the kindly manservant. Non-reveal Christmas fic.

The townsfolk all knew the man by sight. No one knew his name. Just like the island, they felt it better to keep their distance. They called him the Watcher, because that was all he ever did. Watched. But what for? (Nothing slashy yet, just simple, as gay as it is in the show, Merthur in modern times!)

Arthur feels he's gotten over Morgana's betrayal, until one day he goes into her old chambers and sees dust gathering on her dresses. One-shot. Extremely slight implied possible ArMor pairing; the rest is pretty much canon.

An imagining on a different path the finalle could have taken. Merlin was not prepared for Morgana to appear to stop him. He, however has a plan... a trade in fact.

Merlin reminisces about times passed

One shot. "You have made an enemy of me and the Old Religion itself. I am a High Priestess of Avalon. No mortal could ever hope to kill me. You were a fool to believe you ever could."

Having just finished his Masters and falling behind on rent, Merlin's in desperate need of a job. Unfortunately, nothing in his field is available immediately and the last resort his godfather managed to rustle up ("I already have a secretary, Merlin") isn't exactly what Merlin would call his dream job. Slash.
