Taylor's mother is behind bars. Regal, domineering and a mass murdering psychopath with Dubai, London and Brockton struck off her hit list. Shatterbird always left her mark wherever she went. Taylors survived the fallout of her capture, but a year and a half later now she's stuck with the grim reality of having a mother that could slaughter thousands with a simple lullaby.

Taylor Hebert wants more than anything to save Brockton Bay from the many forces that imperil it, but some evils are harder to fight than others. Endbringers storming the beaches, gangsters interfering in politics, and strikebreakers suppressing the unions are trouble enough, but how can one girl stand against the impersonal and diffuse economic factors impoverishing her city?

Like it had done countless times before, the moment came where the Queen Administrator prepared to create the connection that would bond it to its host. But in that moment, unlike the countless times before, something changed. With a union formed and a new purpose in mind, a young girl was set to become something more then she could ever have imagined.

When considering the Simurgh, it is fair to theorize that all of canon was a Simurgh plot to put Taylor in the best possible position to save the world. Taylor Hebert triggered, turned into a cape, and became the hero of Worm. This is not a story about Taylor. It is a story about Emma (the girl who bullied Taylor into triggering), and how Emma triggered instead. Triggered with a power that no one would ever want. Including her.

Jonathan Sing struggles to make it as an independent hero with a decidedly non-heroic power, all while trying to stay out of the grasp of both the villains and the authorities. Full OC cast.
