A Twitter prompt, or maybe, more accurately, a plea from @alanapaints for an arm wrestling story. My brain went "Hm...arm wrestling...biceps...done!" and then this happened. Extra/alternate scene during 6x23 "For Better or Worse". My hero-worship of Mr. Marlowe et al illustrates itself in the highest form of flattery: my poor attempt at imitation, but these are his creations.

Castle invites her over for coffee and a movie but, well it's an M so I think we all know where this is going... "I have some at mine. Come on, Kate. It's 8:30. I'll take you back to mine, make you some dinner, have some nice wine and you can have some of this AWESOME coffee. We can even watch a movie!"

It all started with flowers - an AU story that starts during 3x13. Castle goes to comfort Kate on a bad day, not knowing that bringing her flowers is the start to something entirely different. Some references to/lines from episodes.

Set during 3X22, To Love and Die In LA, what if Kate had opened the door and Castle had still been sitting there. Then what?

"In the end she will be just that - the damaged." An one shot set during 4x09 - Kill Shot in which Rick comes to Kate's place that night.

Post-7x01. Kate tries to reconcile her feelings regarding Castle's two-month absence while Castle tries to come to terms with the guilt of how much pain he's caused. M rated for Chapter 2.

She found the first note when she opened her copy of "Frozen Heat" one day. And then she found that he'd written her notes in some of her other books too. It gave her a little thrill whenever she pulled a book off her bookshelf to see if he'd written her a note in it. Short, fluffy one-shot set mostly in S5 with some S6, with references to the dedication of "Frozen Heat."

"Kate's not sure what she expected to find, but this was definitely not it." Beckett comes home and finds Castle in a ridiculous situation "for research".

A very short sort-of post-ep to 7x1, "Driven." After what she'd been through the last two times she was up in Massachusetts, she never wanted to set foot in it again, but no, she was stronger than that. Spoilers ahead!
