Post Need to Know - Oneshot

A new case finds Alexis kidnapped and puts Beckett on the radar of an old enemy who is out for revenge, resulting in Castle making the hardest choice he's ever had to make. Rated T for minor language and violence, rating may change as the story progresses. Caskett throughout the story.

This story picks up immediately after Need to Know and ends befor Number One Fan. It is a oneshot. There is a little angst, but all is well. If you haven't seen Need to Know, this won't make much sense. There are no spoilers. Of course, I don't own the characters. Why is it so long until Monday?

Story set sometime after "No Tomorrow" It is not a continuation but a sequel because there is a gap in time. But it is still all the players. How far later? I am not real sure. You will have to read the story to find out, because I don't know either

Castle and Beckett are both lawyers. Both the same age 24 fresh out of college. Castle went to Harvard University and Beckett went to Stanford. Castle writes on his free time. Both work at different law forms in New York.

She's been quiet the last few days, seems lost. The rejection weighs heavy, the consequences harsh, even though she should've expected it, should've known it could come to that... Follow-up to episode 6x03, "Need to Know."
