America hurried after Billy and Tommy who were excited to see their parents after a long training session back at Kamar-Taj. From where they had the energy to race up the long stairway after an almost gruelling training , America did not know.
"Come on 'Merica…" Billy called out from almost at the top of the stairs.
America huffed up the stairs much to the amusement of the boys. They excitedly made their way to Stephen's study eager to see their mama and papa as they had opted out training at Kamar-Taj today.
Tommy barged in with Billy, not bothering to knock, leaving America to stop the door from banging onto the wall, which she almost missed if not for her quick reflexes.
She opened her mouth to chastise the twins when the sight in front of her left her speechless.
Stephen's study was bathed with reddish-golden light. Tendrils of Eldritch magic from Stephen and tendrils of Wanda's Chaos magic emanated from the two stately looking pair, deep in meditation, entwining and creating beautiful patterns and designs that were too bewitching and alluring to describe making America tear up at the sheer beauty of it. Most importantly, she felt an overwhelming amount of warmth, love and affection cascading from Wanda and Stephen. She felt extremely peaceful and loved, cocooned in this warmth.
America looked at them. Both of them were facing each other, hovering a foot from the floor, their hands and knees touching, deep in meditation. She could vaguely remember Stephen mentioning that meditation calmed Wanda down and helped her with her emotions which seemed to be heightened by her pregnancy. She glanced down at the twins who seemed enthralled as well.
America felt Wanda's warm voice inside her mind saying "Go down to the kitchen darling. We'll join you three shortly." She smiled at their direction, wiped her tears and gestured to the boys to follow her downstairs.
