When Voyager runs into a ship the Caretaker 'sent home' that didn't exactly arrive where it was supposed to, Kathryn is forced to reevaluate her guilt over stranding her ship in the DQ. And the fact that one of the people on that ship knows Chakotay, intimately, causes her to reevalute some things in her personal life as well.

Kathryn hasn't been following protocol lately and consequences ensue. This is my attempt at a farce. (It's a bit cracky.) A farce is a comedy that aims at entertaining the audience through situations that are highly exaggerated, extravagant, and thus improbable. Farce is also characterized by physical humor, the use of deliberate absurdity or nonsense.

After returning to the Alpha Quadrant, Chakotay observes Kathryn Janeway's legacy. C/7 never happened. Enjoy.

After his encounter with the Boothby of Species 8472, Chakotay, with the help of Jean-Luc Picard, has uncovered some intriguing facts that he wishes to discuss with the Academy's head gardener. They were together, and they weren't meant to be. It scared her. It was a one shot, but I changed my mind - don't like the pairing, don't read! Could a few events, which were standard in their lives, change everything? Could they both give in?

AU. Lt. Stadi does not die during Caretaker, and she is able to bear witness to the relationships of Paris and Torres, Janeway and Chakotay, among others, as she serves as a "part time" officer on board Voyager during the rest of the trip home. While started a decade ago, this story has not been published before.
