More than 20 years after the War of the Ring, new attacks from Mordor threaten the happiness of Aragorn's and Legolas' families. Arwen's twin brothers seem to have come up with an insane plan just at the right time to fight the danger. When Eldarion is being captured along with Gimli and Éomer, the situation becomes increasingly dramatic.

Grima Wormtongue barely survives Legolas's arrow in Isengard. He is sent to Lothlorien to seek recovery from the elves, as he no longer has a place in the kingdom of Rohan where he is regarded as nothing more than a treacherous, villainous snake. In Lothlorien, he is placed under the care of Lady Tathareth, a mysterious and reclusive healer that takes interest in him.

From the top of Barad-Dur the lord of Mordor sees all. His gaze pierces clouds, water, stone and flesh. He's been planning this war for hundreds of years. Nothing can escape him, absolutely nothing. Not even a bunch of idiots mounted on eagles.
