A cool and gentle breeze blew through the mountains as a group of children were all doing various camp activities. A boy with fluffy hair held back by a set of blue goggles was asleep in a tree that overlooked the camp. Another boy much smaller than the one in the tree, was wearing an orange shirt with a bunch of pockets, and typing away something fierce on the laptop he had brought to camp with him. There was a small girl sitting amongst the wildflowers, although she was a bit pale, as if she had just gotten any sunlight over the last few days, she had a pleasant smile on her face. A boy around her age was playing in the bushes, he wore a large green woolen cap that didn't match the striped shirt and khaki shorts he was wearing. A girl wearing a blue helmet over her red hair watched both of them carefully, as another girl wearing a pink cowboy hat flailed about as she had almost stumbled into a mud puddle below her feet.

The boy in the tree sat up as a gentle piece of snow brushed over his cheek. He had been startled awake by not only the chill on his face but a sudden crash as it seemed that a taller boy with deep blue hair and glasses had just fallen down the stairs that lead up to the camp. The goggle-headed boy hopped down from the tree as his curiosity had him interested in how the boy with the glasses was… it seemed that even the stubborn boy that had gotten into an argument with the boy with the goggles had to stop playing his harmonica, he adjusted his purple turtleneck and glared at his supposed adversary as if to say, 'Just what are you looking at…' The boy with the goggles on his head rolled his eyes and walked back towards the stairs to check on the other kid. As he walked each of them noticed a flurry of flakes begin to fall from the sky… "What the?" He uttered in shock as he looked to the sky to see even more snow falling.

"Big Brother!" The small girl who had been playing in the flowers rushed over to him… "I-It's snowing Tai!" She blinked at him with her bright eyes.

"Nah can't be! It's July!" He brushed off his little sister.

"I don't know Tai, it seems pretty obvious to me." The helmeted girl said to him.

"Yeah Sora, when I want your opinion I'll ask for it…" He condescendingly replied to her comment.

"Fine! See if I ever look after your sister again when you go to take a nap in a tree." She snapped back at him. The wind suddenly picked up as the snow began to increase in amount.

"Brrr…" The small girl shivered against Tai.

"Oh no! Kari, Mom would kill me if you got sick after just getting better! I need to get you inside quick." Tai rushed his sister toward the nearest cabin as the snow started picking up on the ground.

"Sick? Did someone say, 'sick?'" The boy with the glasses had made his way up the stairs. "Is there anything I can do to help?" He knelt down in front of Kari. "Hi there, my name's Joe, my parents want me to be a doctor when I grow up." He said with a polite smile.

"Hey Doctor Boy, do this inside! It's freezing out here…" Tai shook his head, pushing both Joe and Kari toward the cabin, unfortunately he wasn't watching where he was going and crashed into the small boy who had been sitting on the front stoop not even aware of what was going on around him as he was so focused on what was on his computer screen.

"Hey… Hey! HEY!" The small boy in the orange shouted. "Watch where you're going Tai!"

"Ooops sorry there Izzy!" Tai rubbed the back of his head.

"You almost broke my laptop!" Izzy complained.

"Can you lot keep it down?" The same grumpy boy from outside growled as the boy with the green hat sat next to him and looked.

"Oh Matt, it was an accident." The little guy said to him.

"Don't go making excuses for Tai, he's just naturally like that TK…" Matt scoffed.

"Daddy! Daddy! Oh darn I'm not getting any signal… I was hoping that he'd send someone down with my jacket. I don't wanna go out in the cold." The girl with the pink cowgirl hat whined.

"Then don't Mimi!" Sora, who was sitting with her, told her.

The children had all sat in the cabin for a time Tai and Matt still giving each other the occasional dirty looks. Tai, wanting to keep Kari safe, had wrapped her up in a few blankets from the room. "Tai! Tai! This is too much big brother!" She was all tuckered in like a cocoon.

"Yeah dude you shouldn't treat your sister like that! And you're not careful you'll suffocate her." Matt made his minutely backhanded comment. "You'd never see me doing that to TK."

"Man, what is your problem?!" Tai asked furiously, "You've been on my case for like two days now."

"Maybe I just don't like you! Is that enough of a reason for you?" Matt growled in retort.

"Well that's no reason to act like a jerk!" The boys were becoming heated.

"Oh yeah! How about you say that to my face!"

"You're being a jerk!"

"So are you, jerk!"

"Everybody calm down!" Joe stood up and between the two as they both glared at each other.

"Let's take this outside Tai!" Matt said, pointing to the door.

"Gladly!" Tai stamped towards the door.

"Tai, what about Kari?" Sora questioned him.

"She'll be okay for a few minutes… I just gotta shut Matt up because nobody else is going-"

"Hey everyone! Get out here! You gotta see this!" Matt shouted from outside. They all looked outside as they saw Matt looking up into the sky.

"What's up Matt?" TK ran out to join his brother.

"TK, you shouldn't go out like that…!" Sora chased him out.

"Sora wait!" Mimi followed her.

"Guys, none of you should go out there like that!" Joe ran after them.

"Kari stay here I'll be right back!" Tai told his sister, going out into the snow. "Izzy you come too!" He dragged Izzy out behind him.

"Wait! Why me?" He struggled against Tai before something in the sky caught his eye. "Wait, is that an aurora?" He pointed to the rainbow lights filling the sky.

"Is that what that is called?" Mimi asked, "It's so pretty!" She had stars in her eyes as she gripped the sides of her hat.

"This shouldn't be possible… We don't have the right climate or conditions for this! I should record this for the scientific community." Izzy was rather excited.

"G-guys! Wh-what is that?!" Joe said with alarm, as he pointed to a giant opening in the sky.

"That doesn't look safe…" Tai looked up as something gleaming red emerged from the glowing portion of the sky.

"What doesn't look safe, big brother?" Kari poked her head out as her eyes went wide with wonder upon seeing the aurora.

"Kari, go back inside! I don't want you getting-"

"WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" Sorra screamed in shock as the red split into eight chunks and started flying their way.

"Everybody get down!" Matt ordered everyone before covering TK with his own body. The pieces fell to the ground with a heavy impact, displacing snow and causing all sorts of chaos.

"First an aurora and now meteors?" Izzy questioned as a glowing object arose from the snow… "Okay so it's not meteors…" There were eight of the little device that had fallen to the ground, one for each child present.

"What is this thing?" Mimi looked it over. "It looks odd…" There was an electric hum coming from them as each of them took them into their respective hands. Kari struggled beneath her blankets to get a hand out to grab her's. Before anyone could even guess what the odd little device was, for some reason the water in the nearby lake crashed into a large wave. As everyone tried to run, they were swept up in the water.

"Tai… Yoohoo?!" Tai awoke a small pink blob with wavy antennae bouncing on him. He screamed in alarm as he quickly hopped up to get away from the creature, tripping over his own two feet as he landed right in front of a white quadrupedal creature with more wavy antennae and a rather sharp toothy grin.

"Big Brother, are you okay?" Kari came out from a bush behind the creature…

"Awww… You're not TK…" The little white creature said with a hint of melancholy.

"Tai you shouldn't run off like that!" The pink thing followed him.

"Tai, you're here too? That's great!" Izzy emerged from behind some trees. "Oh and there's another one of these guys… I got one following me too."

"Hello, pleased to meet you, I'm Motimon!" The pink blob behind Izzy introduced himself.

"Hey Tai! Aren't you gonna let me introduce myself? I'm your partner after all!" Tai's little pink guy bounced behind him… "Well even though you didn't ask, you can call me Koromon! That's my name, okay?"

"What does that mean talking head?" Tai asked sarcastically.

"No it means brave little warrior, but thanks for asking," Koromon responded none the wiser. "Welcome to the Digi-World Tai!"

"Digi-World?" Izzy asked…

"Yeah," Kari answered, "This is the Digi-world and these little guys are known as Digimon… The little one with me is named Tokomon… Though he said that he was partnered with Matt's brother TK and not me. I was hoping we could find him."

"Hey Koromon, can you watch out for Kari? I wanna get a better look around and see if I can see anyone else… maybe get a view of where we are too."

"Yeah Tai, no sweat!" The eager little guy hopped up and down in front of Kari. "Don't worry Kari, I gotcha!"

"Hmmhmm, thanks Koromon!" Kari smiled at him, as Tai went to go climb a nearby tree, using the spyglass he had in his pocket.

"The ocean?! What is that doing there? We shouldn't be anywhere near the ocean." Tai said before being almost thrown out of the tree in surprise by two more screams. "More?"

Joe and Mimi ran out of the wood followed by a small aquatic seal like creature with an orange fin on its head and a green plant bud with legs. "Joe, no need to be afraid, I'm Bukamon, your friend!

"Mimi! Please stop screaming! It's just me Tanemon!"

"Get away from me, you creepy plant thing!" Mimi kicked at the green little plant.

"Creepy! Mimi, that's so mean!" Tanemon whimpered.

"Is everyone okay? Yokomon and I heard screaming… I'm glad to see everyone." Sora joined the rest.

"Sora, what is that adorable pink flower you have… AND WHY DOES IT HAVE EYES!" Mimi freaked out when Yokomon turned around.

"I'm Yokomon, Sora's partner." She introduced herself.

"Mimi stop screaming…" Tai sighed… "You'll wake up the whole forest…"

"TK!" The group could all hear Matt yelling. "TK where are you? Answer me!" He ran out of the trees in a hurry. "Sora, have you seen TK? I can't find him anywhere! TK! TK!"

"Matt, please calm down!" A small orange creature with a large horn bounced behind him. "Oh hello everyone, my name is Tsunomon, nice to meet you." He greeted them.

"TK! TK!" Matt kept shouting.

"He's gotta be somewhere around here, Matt, chill out!" Tai said nonchalantly.
"Shut up Tai! How would you feel if it was your sister who went missing?"

"Hey! Don't be bringing Kari into this!" I growled back at him.

"Matt… I'm looking for your brother too…" Tokomon waddled up to him.

"TK! TK!" Matt was frantic… though with his last few screams came a heavy buzz in the air. He must have startled something awake.

"Oh great… What did you do now?" Tai barked at Matt.

"Ummm… Tai…"
"Ummm… Matt…" Both Tsunomon and Koromon flinched at hearing that sound…

"Everyone, I feel it best that we run!" Motimon warned them. "Kuwagamon is coming!"

"Kuwagamon?" Izzy asked, curiously.

"Trust me Izzy, you do not want to be around to find out…" He answered. The buzzing grew louder.

"Let's get out of here…" Mimi whined…

"I agree! It isn't safe!" Joe nodded.

"Right… Let's go, everyone!" Tai ordered just as they heard the crash of something huge falling in the forest, followed by another crash and another crash, and another crash… before the group saw a large red bug towering in height over them!"

"Kuwagamon!" All of the Digimon panicked…

"Everyone, run!" Tai waved them out of there.

"Tai, where are we running?" Sora asked him.

"Away from that bug! That thing is huge!" Without looking where they were going… until they came to a large cliffside… TK was still nowhere to be found… and with their back against the wall not even Matt could focus on finding him at the moment.

"Guys we have to protect them!" Tsunomon sounded off as the rest of the Digimon agreed.

"Let's give it our all!" Koromon shouted as they all rushed the giant red bug, before being promptly swatted away. "We can't give up!"

"Go Koromon! I believe in you!" Tai shouted.

"I do too! All of you!" Kari joined in!

"Go!" Everyone else shouted. As the Digimon partners all glowed in the colors of the rainbow.

"Koromon digivolve to… Agumon!" Koromon had become an orange lizard the size of Kari.

"Tsunomon digivolve to… Gabumon…" Tsunomon turned into a creature with a blue and white fur draped over him.

"Tokomon Digivolve to… Patamon!" Tokomon being an orange pig like creature with wings for ears.

"Yokomon Digivolve to… Biyomon…" Yokomon was now a moderate sized pink bird.

"Tanemon Digivolve to Palmon!" Palmon was a green humanoid plant with a pink flower on her head.

"Bukamon Digivolve to… Gomamon." He had become a white and purple aquatic mammalian with orange hair on his head.

"Motimon Digivolve to… Tentomon…" He became a smaller red bug than the one opposing them…

"Pepper Breath!"

"Blue Blazer!"

"Boom Bubble! PAH!"

"Spiral Twister!"

"Poison Ivy!"

"Marching Fishes!"

"Super Shocker!"

All of the Digimon launched their signature attacks, but the big red Digimon shrugged it all off!

"One more time!" They each launched their attacks again! And with everyone cheering them on they took down Kuwagamon as it crashed at their feet in defeat.

"We did it!"

"Wow! You little guys are strong! Good work!" Tai cheered.

"Don't worry Patamon! I'll help you find TK!" Kari reassured him.

"We'll all help!" Gabumon agreed.

"Yeah don't worry Matt we'll find him!" Tai stuck out his hand to Matt, but he brushed it aside…

"No thanks… Gabumon…" Matt turned to his partner.

"You know this world right…?"

"Yes Matt, I've lived here all my life…"

"Then you help me find my brother…"

"Matt, don't go wandering off!" Tai warned him.

Little did they know… TK was nowhere near where they were… "Wh-what?! Where am I? Where is everyone?" TK awoke on a large black mountain which housed lava very close to where he had awakened.

"How in the Digi-World did you arrive here…" A wicked voice spoke to him. "Perhaps you can be of use…" The voice said from the shadows as TK was attacked by a giant black hovering disk, and everything went dark on him.
