Jaune wanted nothing more than to become a hero – and in a way he got his wish. One man's criminal is another's hero and the faunus of Remnant need a champion. Who better to take the mantle of leader of the White Fang? Not a faunus? Not a terrorist? No aura, training or leadership skills to speak of? Minor details. All hail supreme leader Jaune Arc. After being exposed and forced to leave in disgrace, Jaune joins the Valean Militia Corps and becomes a Guardsman, forced to fight Grimm as soon as he is trained. Will his friends adjust to the new Arc, or will it all go down in pieces? This is a revamp of a deleted story I made, so enjoy. FMJ and Starship Troopers references included.

Sawyer Flint and his own team of huntsman are included into the plot of RWBY as their own standalone cast to both add to and change the plot. Sawyer Flint himself can only be so mad with everyone, but will Weiss Schnee only add too it or calm down Sawyer’s smoldering temper with her own Icy sting.

The Arc family trip is cut short, leaving Jaune in a condition where his father's only choice is to unlock his aura. How does an early aura unlocked and trained up Jaune fair against the coming storm that left Beacon in shambles? With just a little confidence, and a little bit of insight. Oh and luck, a hell of a lot of that.
