Lily and Severus recently learned they were twins and are now attending Durmstrang with fellow former Hogwarts student Remus Lupin. There they shall learn new subjects and make interesting friends at Durmstrang which has a lax view of Dark Arts and Creatures. What sort of life will they have growing up in the custody a Severus from the future?

AU: Bellatrix survived the War by secretly fleeing once she saw that Potter had actually survived the Dark Lord's killing curse. No one had seen or heard from her since, until a teaching post surfaced at Hogwarts 5 years later. Hermione is now a newly qualified professor teaching History of Magic and has absolutely no idea how her life is going to change with the new arrival.

Mostly canon up to the Battle of Hogwarts. Very AU, not to mention depressing and dark, after that. This is not intended to be a happy short story as it's an effort to write tragedy/angst. Rated M just to be safe, though there is nothing graphic in the story.
