Chapter Summoning start
–Time skip 3 weeks–
I was out on my morning laps on Konoha... I was on my third lap around the village.
'Damn... I really regret asking for weights,' I thought, remembering the 10-pound weights on my legs. 'My respect for Gai and Lee has skyrocketed even more than before', I thought, remembering how Lee has weights that can leave dents in concrete once taken off. 'If Lee has weights like that, I can only wonder what kind of weights Gai has,' I thought. I shivered at the thought of the training regimen he had to go through and that I would have if I sought him out. 'He is the best taijutsu master in Konoha for a reason,' I thought, before finishing the third lap around the village.
"YOSH! SUCH YOUTH AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE," I heard a man yell... from far away but it was still loud enough that I could hear it.
'Oh, fuck... the green beast is here,' I thought, dread crawling up my body, 'Well it seems like he saw me running with weights so he decided to see what was going on.'
The man caught up to me.
"How youthful, training with weights at such a young age," the man said.
"Me?" I asked.
"Yes, such youth should not be wasted especially at a time like this," the green beast said, his tone getting grimmer at the last part.
"Okayyy..." I said, wondering why the usually cheery man was so grim right now. "Why?" I asked.
"It is not of your concern right now and it would be unyouthful to tell you now, young youthful person," the man said.
"Well have a good day, sir, I need to finish my warm-up," I said. I actually needed to finish my warm-up before I train with my hellish training regimen. As much as I want to ask for his help, I couldn't without getting my body prepared first.
"HOW YOUTHFUL RUNNING LAPS AROUND KONOHA AS A SIMPLE WARM-UP! I SHALL DO THE SAME... IF I CAN'T RUN 1 THOUSAND LAPS AROUND KONOHA BEFORE SUNDOWN, IF I CAN'T DO THAT, I WILL DO A THOUSAND PUSH-UPS ON MY PINKY FINGERS, IF I CAN'T DO..." I couldn't hear him finish as he ran off.
Well I thought the anime was exaggerating, but no, he actually is this eccentric... It isn't bad just excessive, like really excessive, but overall he seems nice. I finished up my faith lap and saw Kakashi waiting for me talking to Gai. 'He must have found him waiting for me,' I thought, feeling somewhat bad for Kakashi, as he was being challenged by Gai.
"Okay, Gai it's your turn to pick the challenge," Kakashi said
Gai got really excited he always loved picking the challenge "THE FIRST PERSON TO CLIMB UP THE HOKAGE MONUMENT WINS" gai said after thinking about it a little bit
"Okay Gai," Kakashi said.
"Damn you Kakashi! You're so hip and cool!" Gai said, shaking his head, tears coming out of his eyes, then he began running towards the Hokage monument.
Kakashi then saw me running up toward him. "I'm sorry I can't give you this myself I have to go my... you know what just– Summoning jutsu!" Kakashi said. I guessed he did not know how to explain that he had to race Gai and summoned one of his personal dog summons, summoning a small brown bulldog.
"Heya Kakashi, what do you need," Pakkun asked.
"Pakkun, today's the day," Kakashi said.
Pakkun perked up. "Already huh, okay I'll get the contract," Pakkun said, disappearing in a puff of smoke.
"Okay Takato, you should wait here you have the day off of training," Kakashi said, before running after Gai.
As much as I wanted to continue training, I also wanted to wait for Pakkun and hopefully his other ninken, as I really loved them all. So I elected to wait for Pakkun to get back, wondering what Kakashi wanted to give me.
After an hour, Pakkun appeared again.
"Hello, Takato-kun. I'm assuming Kakashi didn't explain why he summoned me today?" Pakkun asked after reappearing.
"No, he didn't explain why," I replied to the small bulldog.
Pakkun muttered something I couldn't hear. "Okay, well Kakashi and the elder dogs at the great plateau decided you would be the next summoner of the dog clan since you have the capacity and control to summon even the boss summons of our clan," Pakkun elaborated.
I went slack-jawed. I was getting a summoning contract and for dogs no less... " Well where do I get the contract?" I asked.
Pakkun sighed. "Well to actually get the contract you need to hide from the boss of the clan for an hour, " Pakkun said.
"Okay I get it now..." Before I could finish, Pakkun reverse summoned me to the great plateau and I was facing the boss summon which was the dog summon for the rinnegan just without rinnegan in its eyes.
"Pakkun, is this the human who will be our next summoner?" the giant two-headed dog asked.
Pakkun looked up towards the giant two-headed dog. "Yes, Cerberus-sama, this is Takato Uchiha," Pakkun said.
"Hello Cerberus-sama, I hope I can become your clan's next summoner," I said bowing respectfully to the boss-level summon.
"Pakkun did tell you the challenge you need to pass to become our summoner, right?" Cerberus asked.
"Yes, Pakkun did tell me what I needed to do to become your clan's next summoner," I said to the giant dog.
"Okay I shall give you five minutes to hide then we shall see if you can pass," Cerberus said.
I nodded and ran away.
I was running fast and excitedly, if I passed I could get to become a summoner for the dog clan. 'I wonder what happens if I fail,' I wondered finding a place inside a hill I could hide in.
'Ok, now that I can think I can actually contemplate my next moves,' I thought, remembering the events of the last three weeks'. Okay so after I recovered from my guilt, I learned Hinata survived, but may never use chakra again, that eased my soul a little bit. 'Then I was given training weights to make me faster which, whilst effective, still sucks.' Then nothing of importance happened until today when I met the green beast who challenged Kakashi, who wanted to allow me to summon dogs which has a boss summon that can rival Gamabunta.' I thought, remembering the events that led me here. 'Now I need to survive for an hour so I can get the contract.' Then, finally, I should try and ask Gai to train me... maybe I could learn the gates,' I thought, before seeing Cerberus running towards my location. "Oh... shit," I said aloud, shunshining out of my current location.
"CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!" I yelled, after seeing the giant two-headed dog deciding to forgo stealth for the time being.
"You're a bold one," Cerberus said, after hearing my taunt.
I shunshined as much as possible and as fast as I could, but Cerberus was catching up to me and as fast as we were, we were both getting tired too, so I tried to escape using an earth jutsu, to be exact Earth Style: Hiding Like a Mole Jutsu to hide underground and escape.
But Cerberus stopped me and grabbed me, "Tsk tsk tsk, Kakashi really over-hyped you," Cerberus said, disappointed.
"Sorry to disappoint, but it won't be that easy," I said with a grin, then I kawarimied with a conveniently placed log.
We then started the game of cat and mouse all over again.
I ran past many dogs, some of them Kakashi's summons, I made sure to wave to all of the ninken I knew before seeing Cerberus in front of me. "Its the end of the line now for sure," Cerberus said, confidently.
I used common sense and used the shunshin with my sharingan to run away again. 'Seeing everything in slow-motion really helps a lot with dodging everything,' I thought, really appreciating my eyes at the moment. And so i ran for a while hiding again soon after.' Okay now i can get some rest,' I thought, I had long since disabled my weights and I was really straining my legs at this point so much so that everything hurt, but sadly not even five minutes later Cerberus showed up again.
"OH COME ON!" I shouted, not happy to see the ninken boss right now.
"Finally it's the end of the line you lose..." Cerberus said, sounding somewhat sad.
"Not just yet... one jutsu left," i said bullshitting, as i really had no more jutsu.
Cerberus just raised an eyebrow and went to go grab me.
I threw a smoke bomb i had and ran away activating my sharingan and using shunshin to get away.
25 minutes later
I was running for 25 minutes straight and by this point i was really tired so I sat down for a little bit but, just in case, I turned around and saw nothing behind me. "HAHAHA I MIGHT ACTUALLY GET THE CONTRACT!" I yelled in excitement at possibly getting the contract for dogs.
Then... "Found you," Cerberus said, from in front of me.
"OH SHIT!" I yelled, before Cerberus grabbed me.
"It has been 55 minutes you had five minutes left that's the best anybody has ever done," Cerberus praised. "But you have no more tricks, no more surprises, and no more places to run you... pass!" Cerberus finished.
"Wait, what..." I said intelligibly.
That's when Pakkun and the rest of Kakashis ninken came up to me.
"Well you see, Kakashi only lasted 35 minutes... all you had to do was impress the boss enough to pass," the ninken named Shiba said.
"I... passed..." I said disbelievingly.
"Yeah and you smashed the record," Bisuke said.
Pakkun then dragged the summoning scroll to me. "Here!" he began opening the scroll. "You have to write your name in blood and leave a handprint with your dominant hand," Pakkun explained, pointing to an empty spot on the scroll.
"Okay then," I said, biting my thumb on my left hand... hard drawing blood and dabbing my other fingers with blood and I wrote my name Takato Uchiha below Kakashi Hatake and Sakumo Hatake and put my hand on the part below.
"Now your a summoner for our clan congrats," Pakkun said. "The hand signs are boar, dog, bird, monkey, and ram.
"We will reverse summon you back to Konoha shortly," Akino said.
"WAIT... can I stay here for a bit?" I asked since it has been some time since I've seen the ninken.
The ninken smiled. "Sure," they all said in unison.
For the next seven hours, I played with Kakashi's ninken and other ninken at the great plateau and honestly, it was a great time we ran played, and had fun... even though they were all ninja dogs they still were dogs...
And so when I got home, Kakashi got the obvious question. "So how did it go?" he asked.
"Well I managed to pass... I survived 55 minutes," I said with pride in my voice.
"F.. Fifty-five minutes," Kakashi said sounding gobsmacked.
I simply nodded.
Kakashi sighed in sadness "My record was broken.. " Kakashi said with both pride and sadness in his voice.
"Yeah," I said awkwardly.
Kakashi recovered. "So why did you take so long to get back?" Kakashi asked changing the subject.
"Oh, I just wanted to play with the ninken," I said.
"Oh... ok," Kakashi said, as it made sense since he knew I loved the ninken, then Kakashi had an amazing idea.
"So, as a reward for beating my record, how about we go get those chains and sickle you wanted," Kakashi suggested.
I perked up. I really wanted those chains. I've been begging for them for so long since it would be so cool having the sickle attached to the chains. Actually, I wanted two but I could get another later. There were many benefits of these chains especially with my new summons since they could smell blood, all I had to do was get a drop on my chains and bam I knew where they could be, thanks to my summons, which are great and speaking of my summons I learned I could use sage mode eventually. "Yes please," I said excitedly as if I was still a child.
Kakashi eye smiled. "Okay, let's go," Kakashi said, shunshining away as I followed him.

Alright this is the shortest chapter yet. I really wasn't feeling it today but i wanted to write so i did
Im sure your all happy about him getting dog summons
We met gai this chapter but sadly he wasn't mentioned much. Well don't worry he will have a very important role later on
hopefully you all enjoyed this chapter i personally did as i enjoyed writing the dog summons and don't worry we will be seeing more of them later and they will be very important too
okay okay i know this chapter wasn't about the academy but don't worry next chapter we will be getting back to the classroom also there will be another large time skip soon as i don't want to stay in the academy too long
Anyways like i said earlier i landed a job finally and plus i have school so i won't have much free time anymore to write but hey i will still write out this story don't you all worry

Did the wishes needed to be something canon from the shinobi world or anything? If the wishes were from any other franchise then he gets a 0/10 from me but if its only thing from the shinobi world 2/10. Even if the ratings are low I still looking forward to the story.
well no they didn't really need to be from the naruto world but takato wasn't really thinking at that time so the reality of that will hit him later
finally i just want to say we are already approaching 1000 hits for this story as of writing this chapter and i want to thank you all for enjoying and sticking through this
Also with this chapter this story has hit 15k words! pretty exciting i know hopefully this fic hits over 100k one day
last i just wanted to say this fic will include Shippuden instead of being separate
