It didn't take long for Jack and Spike to put the pieces together on where Edge had gone. Over the past week, he had been stealthily laying out a set of coordinates for them to follow. It was as if he wanted to be caught sooner rather than later. All of this was somewhat eyebrow-raising for Jack, but that didn't matter to Spike. She just wanted to bring him in, and she had gotten her Wisp partner, a scarred Pink Spike Wisp, to retrieve her old Wispon for the occasion. Jack and Spike closed in on Edge as he observed some type of clearing in a forest through a pair of infrared binoculars. He observed their approach pretty quickly, however, and just turned his head to look at Jack, and then Spike. "Oh, so NOW you'll actually put something on?"

"Get up, Edge! Your cell is waiting for you!" Spike yelled, angerly. Edge seemed somewhat amused. "Yeah, I'll be sure to get back to it later. Right now, though, I'm gonna continue scouting out this Egg Base." He replied coyly, as he looked back through his binoculars. "What are you talking about? That's just blank forest out there!" Spike said. Jack activated the infrared feature on his goggles and looked towards the clearing. "Huh. He's right, actually. There IS a cloaked Egg Base over there...But how did you-?"

"I've got some sources in prison. You help one guy, they help you...You know." Edge said, casually. "Anyway, I've been keeping an ear to the ground, and I found out about this base before any of your Restoration buddies caught wind of it. Get this, they've got ECS Units in there, and they're being moved tonight."

"How do you even know about ECS Units?" Jack asked, curious. "Eh, like I said, ear to the ground. I keep up with my friends. Once I found out about all that, I figured I'd lend a hand." Edge replied. Spike rolled her eyes. "Oh, how VERY charitable of you, Edge! And also, COMPLETELY out of character! Did you REALLY think we'd believe that load of-?"

"What if he's telling the truth?"

Spike looked at Jack as if he had grown a second head. He quickly elaborated. "Look, I know you don't trust him that much, but if there's even a CHANCE that some ECS Units are in there, shouldn't we at least check it out?" Spike sighed in frustration. "Jack, I can't BELIEVE you're making excuses for him again. I TOLD you that I wouldn't..." Spike trailed off as she noticed something. "Wait, where'd he go?"

Jack and Spike looked around for a minute before a whistle from the trees above directed them to Edge, looking down on them with a playful look on his face. "Come on! We don't have all day, you know!" He teased, before drawing some type of barbed sword from his back. Holding down a button on the handle while swinging it allowed him to extend it out like a whip, hooking onto one of the trees with the end and swinging closer to the base. "Jack..." Spike started. "I know, I know." Jack said, before grabbing her shoulder and using the teleport feature of his Wispon to carry them both upward.
