Chapter 29

AN: Hello all welcome back. Firstly as always thanks to everyone who reviewed the last chapter. I've actually had this one sitting on my laptop half done for a few weeks and decided to go ahead and knock it out today. There is a bit of a lemon in this chapter which is what stalled me as I was trying to figure out how to do it in a way to not have the story taken down in a future purge. Some people should be happy as it's something I've been teasing for a while and I felt like this was a nice time to get it out of the way. Once again I'm going to try to wrap this up by the end of the year, we'll see how that goes though. Anyway with that said here is the new chapter.

In the immediate aftermath of Pein's attack on Konoha the village was placed on lockdown. Thanks to Nagato's last act of returning souls from the King of Hell many of the dead had been revived, some had nearly died again due to lack of chakra or injury while some had simply not been revived. The total account of fatalities had been 137 at the final count which was incredibly low and the vast majority had been civilians who'd been caught in the missile detonations.

The list of those injured was still incredibly high, somewhere over 520 and while a lot of them were now considered low priority injuries there were several that were critical. Kakashi for instance was in a coma, he'd died from chakra exhaustion and while he'd been one of many revived he'd nearly died again and had been incredibly lucky that the medics had gotten to him in time.

Jiraiya was a little better in that he was conscious, the medics had even been able to save and reattach his arm. The surgery had put him out for a few days, and he had quite a bit of rehab in his future. Tsunade upon her return from the battlefield had set about healing people that were injured by Pein's attempt to flatten the village. Though the attack had been blocked for the most part some of that energy had hit the ground and caused a massive earthquake. In the end Tsunade had tapped into the chakra stored in her Strength of a Hundred Seal. While she managed quite a bit of work her body ended up shutting down on her while she was still working and like Kakashi she was currently in a coma.

The last of the high priority patients was actually the villages newly recognized two-time savior who had to be carried back into the village by a returning Yamato. Apparently Naruto had entered the battle with only 30% of his chakra available after training all day and had popped a soldier pill after learning about the attack, as such he had simply crashed while he and Jiraiya were returning from their meeting with the real Nagato.

Though he had still been awake even he couldn't bully his body into doing more once the danger had passed. Once he was in the hospital and examined it was revealed that his body was covered in hairline fractures, though those had been healed quickly enough. Still he had been confined to a hospital bed for nearly a week before he was released and even still Shizune had ordered him to rest until his body was fully recovered.

Because of this for the last week the Hokage's advisory council had assumed control of the village. While each member had a position on the Village council the advisory council were the ones who were always on call and in this instance consisted of the jonin commander Nara Shikaku and the ANBU commander Ghost. They had spent the majority of their time concentrating on both defense of the village in its weakened state and the temporary placement of the populous as building support structures had been damaged majorly, with many of them in danger of collapsing.

Defense had been helped by the influx of kunoichi they had gotten from the now defunct Nadeshiko village who had been eager to help their new home. Placement was done by setting up tents in the more stable areas of the village until the damage to the village had been seen to. While they couldn't fix all of damage on their own they had assigned teams of Doton (Earth Release) specialist to begin repairing the damage the ground had taken, as the village proper had been covered in enough cracks there was fear that another earthquake would cause the place to crater.

Thankfully for both overworked men they had been relieved of the extra duty as the Daimyo had arrived just that morning as had a host of contractors to help with the building repairs. As he finished reading over the reports from the Hokage's office Tokugawa Ieyasu was frowning. This had been the second external attack on the village in just a few short years, and they had gotten even more lucky than they had during the Sound-Sand Invasion. He was also extremely displeased that the root of this attack had been another of Danzo's fuck up's as he was now feeling that the man had died far too easily.

"How's that assessment coming?" questioned the man.

At his question two people on a nearby couch looked up, one male and one female. Both wore ornate robes that signified that they were in his employ and were a pair that had worked for him for nearly ten years now.

"Nearly complete now Ieyasu-sama." Said the female Mowata Rinako, her green hair tied up in a bun while her blue eyes looked out from behind a pair of glasses.

"Thankfully it won't cost the treasury anywhere near as much as we initially feared. A number of the clans have already donated funds for the repairs." Said the male, Yakuzuki Hyotaro his brown hair pulled into a top knot while the sides and back were shaved with a full beard that was cut low.

"Really, what prompted that?" questioned the man in surprise, that hadn't happened last time he was here.

"Uzumaki Naruto-sama sent in 10,000 ryo. Word got out and within a few hours we received funds from every other clan as well." Stated Hyotaro

That would definitely explain it, the other clans had gotten word and felt shamed into sending the funds not wanting to be thought of as lesser. Well at least this time he had the money up front instead of having to worry about a loan that they would have to pay back. As it stood Konoha had nearly 25 clans and if each clan sent something it would definitely help.

"Let me know when you have the final numbers." Said the Daimyo before turning his attention to another report.

Naruto meanwhile sighed in a state of relaxed bliss. He was currently lying on his front while he received a massage, his body shining due to the oils coating it. At the moment he was getting his back massaged and was honest enough to admit at least mentally this was a good reason to have gotten him out of bed. While his power still wasn't at 100% he had recovered enough to move around and be a bit active, he just honestly didn't feel like it. As it was he had the house to himself as Ino was seemingly always on call and his mother had come and basically kidnapped Hinata and Guren. He would admit that he'd been lazing about this week, but considering he'd done nothing but train and fight since that day he realized his mother was with him he figured he was owed something of a vacation.

As such he hadn't even gotten dressed once this week usually lazing about in his robe and underwear. Of course just because he didn't leave didn't mean he didn't have any visitors of which there had been a fair few. Shikamaru had been one of the standouts as his mind had been running and he'd needed someone to clarify a few points. That visit had not left him feeling all that well, but he'd pushed it out of his mind as he was on leave and would not be bothered with more problems.

Outside of that visit however he had spent his time relaxing as his other visitors, Shizune and Jiraiya had just wanted to check his health and had even brought him food. That had actually been what he was doing when his guest first arrived, lounging on his bed reading a rather interesting mystery novel when they had arrived. They hadn't even bothered to knock or ring the bell before letting themselves in, though he wasn't worried as the house only admit a few select people thanks to the seals covering it. He'd sensed their approach of course but hadn't been curious enough to get up until the came into his room and literally dragged him to his feet. He hadn't put up much of a fight obviously and before he knew it he was face down on a massage table having oils rubbed into his body.

"How are you feeling now?" came the feminine voice of the woman massaging him.

"Like a Nara who found some shade." Replied Naruto getting her to chuckle.

"Now that's high praise. I haven't done this in a long time, I'm glad you like it. Just don't fall asleep on me." Said the woman

"Kami this is you out of practice." Breathed the blond in surprise.

"Yes, back in the day kunoichi were taught how to do this when they made chunin. It's been fazed out now, though the clans still teach it for the most part. Turn over for me." Said the woman

Turning over so that he was lying on his back he felt his eyes widen as he beheld the figure standing beside him. Uchiha Mikoto stood beside him, but that wasn't surprising, what surprised him was her state of dress. She had left the room when he'd first climbed onto the table and settled down as she had wanted him to remove what little he was wearing. Now he could see another reason as instead of her civilian garb she was now in a navy blue bikini, the bottoms of which were tied at her sides while the top seemingly tied behind her neck. Her large beasts were seemingly on display with the valley between them clearly visible with the sides visible on the inside though the other sides were fully covered. Said Kushina causing all three of them to stare at her few a few moments before they began to put more effort into their actions.

At the same time she saw Kimiko's eyes blaze, but she managed to reign herself in and not go tearing off after Mikoto. That made her shake her head even with the smirk that formed on her face. Kimiko wanted Naruto badly that much had been revealed when she'd gone into heat. The knowledge that Naruto had passed his final test and inherited the power of the previous Kyubi had only made her desire him more. Blinking Tsunade took in her surroundings tiredly recognizing quickly where she was and that Jiraiya occupied the bed across from her. Drinking it down quickly the Godaime was soon brought up to speed on how much time had passed. Shizune and Sakura entered the room not long later alongside another ANBU member before both seemed to fade into nothingness once more.

"You're up earlier than I expected." Said Shizune

"Your increased chakra potency must have increased your healing power more than we estimated." Said Sakura.

Tsunade remained silent, though it was no surprise to her students who both knew the woman was not a natural morning person and didn't like to talk before she was fully awake. Nearly an hour later and Tsunade was finally feeling fully awake after eating her fill. Naturally seeing her up and about improved the moods of most of the people she passed in the halls especially the staff.

From the hospital she walked to the administration building stopping to speak with many people along the way all of whom thanked her for healing them during the attack or just expressing their happiness at seeing her well. Chakra exhaustion was no joke and after what happened with her sensei she understood their sentiments, hell it was why she had delved back into her training after becoming Hokage. Eventually she arrived at the administration building where she learned that the council had just been summoned by the Daimyo. Making her way to the council chambers and inside she was pleased to see the mans eyes widen before he smiled at the sight of her.

"Good to see you awake Tsunade." Said the man.

"I heard you came to see us. Thanks for coming." Said the woman before falling into a seat in relief.

"How are you feeling?" questioned the man.

"Honestly not bad at all. I'm a little tired but that's just because I've been asleep for a week. How bad are things?" returned the woman.

"Not that bad. Financially speaking this won't hurt the village at all as the clans all came forward with donations for repairs. I've got contractors coming from all over the Land of Fire and Wave."

Over the next few minutes the members of the council began making their way into the room all of them surprised to see her but happy to she was awake. Once the last of them entered the room the doors were sealed so that the meeting could begin.

For the first time in a week Naruto had ventured outside of his home and into the village proper. He had forgone his usual style of dress in favor of some orange pants and a blue t-shirt with Konoha's symbol on it. Even his hitae-ate had been left at home as instead he wore an armband version of it on his left arm. Of course he had gotten a heroes welcome upon emerging into the village proper but at the moment he was walking through the administration building towards the council chambers. He'd been relaxing in the hot tub in back of his house after Mikoto had left, considering he'd fucked her to three more orgasms before he had flooded her with his own he'd felt he'd deserved some luxury relaxation.

He'd been nearly asleep truthfully when the summons had come and would have ignored it had it been from anyone but his grandmother. "Troublesome." Said the blond surprising everyone as he began massaging the bridge of his nose.

"Is there a problem?" questioned Tsunade

"Shikamaru was right, something stupid happened and now we have to deal with the fallout." Said Naruto.

"Well damn." Said Asuma quietly though Naruto still heard him clearly.

"Well what do you think could have happened Naruto-kun?" questioned the Daimyo.

"Well considering granny is awake we dodged the new Hokage kunai." Started the blond causing more than a few people to stifle chuckles.

"You're here so an attack on the capital is unlikely to have happened which only leaves the Kumo scenario." Said Naruto looking to the Daimyo bringing silence to the room.

"Elaborate." Said Tsunade.

"Well every Akatsuki member aside from Kisame, Zetsu and the masked guy has been taken out. Shikamaru figured it wouldn't be long until they made a move and there were only two that we figured were likely to happen. The first would be to attack the capital. We figured such a move would throw the entire country into chaos forcing our already thin forces to be stretched even more and in effect forcing me out into the open considering Kakashi-sensei is still out and gramps is missing an arm and not cleared for duty." Said Naruto

"What's the Kumo scenario?" questioned Shikaku frowning.

"One of three things. They attacked Kumo directly like they did here, which is highly unlikely. The second is they attacked Kaminari no Kuni's capital resulting in the same actions as the Hi no Kuni scenario. Finally and most likely they attacked the Hachibi jinchurriki directly and captured them." Explained Naruto

"Why do you think they would go after Kumo?" questioned Asuma frowning.

"Because they've already captured 7 of the biju. The only ones they currently don't have to my knowledge are 8 and 9." Said Naruto

"Which explains why you think they would attack a capital." Said the ANBU commander.

"Especially if the remaining members are feeling desperate." Said Shikaku

"Yeah, but whose to say they won't fall apart now, especially with the leader dead." Said Tsume.

"Pein wasn't the leader, he was a puppet. The real leader has been pulling strings from the shadows." Said Jiraiya frowning.

"Enough. I haven't been up long enough to deal with this." Said Tsunade her voice cutting off all further speculation.

"As you said something stupid has happened. Kumo was invaded and the Hachibi jinchurriki was captured by a group of people in Akatsuki cloaks. None of them fit the description of known members and one of them was identified as Uchiha Sasuke." Said Tsunade.

'Sasuke you fucking idiot.' Thought Naruto eyes narrowed.

"The Raikage has called for a Gokage summit which will take place in Tetsu no Kuni. Naruto and Yamato will be accompanying me, Jiraiya will be in charge while I'm gone. We leave in two days." Said Tsunade.

"How long ago did this attack happen?" questioned Naruto.

"Just over a week ago, why?" questioned Tsunade.

"According to my mom, only seven of the biju have been captured. I'll contact her again though, something isn't right." Said Naruto getting a nod from her.

Nearly an hour later found a fully dressed Naruto standing within his private training ground behind the Hokage monument. Upon his arrival he had created a group of clones who had created a barrier around the grounds making the place as private and isolated as he could make it.

"Right, so how do I do this?" Questioned Naruto looking over to the horse sized orange nine tailed fox that was in front of him.

"You are no longer a jinchurriki, not in the true sense of the word. You no longer require my aid to access that power, it is yours now. Reach for it and will the transformation to happen" said Kurama

"Right, here goes nothing." Said Naruto.

Closing his eyes he delved deep in search of the power and nearly gasped audibly when he found it. His chakra which had once been a purple flame thanks to the mixing of human blue chakra and red demon chakra had changed. The blue and red streams were gone and as such so was the purple flame. In its place was a bright gold flame several times larger than the previous purple flame. As he drew the power into himself he found there was none of the chaotic struggle for control he'd had to deal with before, instead the power embraced him and filled him with warmth and a sense of security.

This chakra he found he could control almost instinctively with not even a slight issue of control which allowed him to create a pair of Rasengans with a thought. Remembering what it was like to transform before he reached for that power and allowed it to engulf him. In the real world Kurama watched as Naruto underwent his transformation as a set of golden fox ears and a tail appeared visible only for a few moments before his body erupted with power and a shroud of golden chakra surrounded his form resembling fire, his whisker marks were still on his face with no change and when he opened his eyes they were now orange though the pupil was still round.

"Wow, this feels incredible." Said Naruto looking down at his hands in awe.

"That is only the beginning. What you posses now is pure physical chakra. Now you must take the next step." Said Benihime appearing at his side

"What do I need to do?" questioned Naruto.

"You have already earned it. Nothing I do would push you further than simply claiming the power orb has." Said Benihime.

Naruto nodded at that before withdrawing his blade from the sheath. Holding the blade horizontally across his body for but a moment before he spoke.

"Bankai."

For a moment there was silence and the place was still before the entirety of the training grounds was covered in a fierce golden light and the place was filled with power.
