alternative title: Aizawa isn't paid enough for all the work he does
Midoriya would have wanted for the class to keep on going forever, yet the bell still rang at the end of it. He knew trying to run away wouldn't work, Aizawa would most likely catch him before he was able to go too far, if Bakugo wasn't the one to get him first. The alpha was looking in a very different state of mind, he clearly wanted to talk with him and their teacher forcing them in the same room was going to help a lot.
Aizawa packed up his things, making a sign for them to follow, "And don't try to run, I'm good at catching people" he warned them. At least, for once, Bakugo was following without causing much of a problem, Midoriya following between them anxiously.
The teacher guided them to what seemed to be a conference room, standing at the end of the table, waiting for them to go and sit down. The two young men ended up sitting on each side of the table, Midoriya looking away as Bakugo was staring at him, trying to see if he could again see what he was thinking.
"So, to sums it up, after what happened on Friday Bakugo tried to force Midoriya to wear a collar for his safety" he started, both nodding at the information, "Then you two proceeded to fight in the class about it, Then Kirishima somehow ended up with the conclusion that you are fated mate?" he asked, unsure where the connection was coming from with the information given by Iida.
"Well he asked me those weird questions, but there's no way I'd be the fated mate of Deku, right?" stated Bakugo, still unsure how to feel about all this, "But that the gits of it".
Aizawa then looked to the omega, Midoriya avoiding making eye contact, only nodding to show he sums up was good. "Well then, let's get back over those questions then, it might actually give me an answer on what is happening with you two".
"Sensei it is not necessary to do that again, really we are no-" started Midoriya only to be cut off by Bakugo, "Shut it nerd, I'm tired of this too but you struggling won't get us out of here sooner". Midoriya stayed silent, simply getting more nervous.
"Do you know anything about fated mate?" asked Aizawa to Bakugo, receiving a shrug, "Not really, never looked into it". The older man sighed a little at that, wondering how come they were not taught this anymore "Why do I get the most troublesome thing to do" he mumbled.
"I suppose you at least know what they are, two people who are meant to be together. Both partners will just know it when they meet face to face for the first time in their life, although it can be harder if they meet before having their second gender fully come out.
Signs of it include wanting to be with this person, wanting to protect them, getting territorial when other get close to them, their scent became the stronger one to you, you can sens what they are feeling easily, your heat cycle will try to synch together and in some cases, you can even start hearing their thoughts, although it does vary from one person to another.
These can get stronger and more persistent depending on how long that first connection was made, but also if one or both of the partners are trying to break away from it".
Bakugo looked as if he had too many information given to him, trying to process everything. Aizawa didn't try to rush him, or it would probably make it harder for him, yet upon looking at Midoriya, he saw how he seemed to already know all of this, looking anxious.
"The only one I can say seems to be on point is your rut causing Midoriya to have his heat" stated Aizawa, finally sitting down too, "Now tell me which you seem to be having or not".
Bakugo thought about it a little more, before starting to list all part of the signs, as he was able to find many examples for each of them. Wanting to be with Deku? Of course, it wasn't exactly something he would have been caught admitting though. Protecting and territorial? Even if it wasn't in a way Deku ever noticed, he did sort of protected him from other alpha in their classes, whereas just seeing him with icyhot was enough to make him angry.
His scent? He had never put that much attention to it, but now that he was thinking more about it, Deku always had been the one he could smell the best. Emotion? He never realised it, but it was explaining many things now that he was thinking about it. He couldn't confirm more the heat one, and hearing his thoughts were something hard to ignore when it had happened many times in the last weeks.
Their teacher hummed when he finished answering him, both turning at Midoriya, making him jump a little, looking at his hand. "Midoriya, is it something you ever noticed before".
The omega hesitated, "No..." he said, trying to lie about it, only to hear an explosion coming from the side. "For fuck sake quite lying Deku! I can sens it and now that I know it that you're stuck here until you admit it".
"Fine, yes! I also have most of them" he finally snap, looking at Bakugo for an instant, looking away quickly. "For how long?" asked Aizawa before the other alpha could do so more aggressively. Midoriya was probably going to lie, but one look at Bakugo was enough to not do so, mumbling his answer first, having to repeat. "Since middle school" he finally said, already shrinking into his seat when Bakugo got up suddenly.
"Are you fucking kidding me!? You've known for so long and never told me?" he yelled, not believing what he was being told right now. The omega had known all this time, yet never told him? Was he going to do so all his life?
"No I didn't," said Midoriya irritated, "What were you expecting from me? You started turning on me because I didn't have a quirk and then everything became worst because I was an omega, you thought I should happily run to you and tell you?" asked the young man, confused. It would have made him even more mad at him, especially since Bakugo most likely hadn't noticed any of those signs. After all, he only had realised a couple minutes ago, of course, he wasn't there at the time.
"And were you going to tell me?!" asked Bakugo. "No! You clearly didn't want to have anything to do with me, I figured you would have been better without me, I could have found a way to get rid of it".
"It doesn't work like this" commented Aizawa, surprising the two of them who somehow had forgotten about him, "Believe me, I know it". Midoriya seems a little confused by what he meant, unsure what to take out of that.
"Okay, let say I find someone, live my life with a hole in me because of it, what were you going to do?" ask Bakugo, before frowning, getting annoyed, "Were you going to ask half n half or something".
"Of course not, after all, I wouldn't want to block him from finding his own fated one if he can" stated Midoriya, making Bakugo snort. "So he gets the right to finds his, but I got to be all alone? Really loving of you Deku".
They both stayed in silence after that, looking at each other. Bakugo couldn't understand where he had gotten such weird ideas. "You never showed me you wanted anything to do with me, you started bullying me the exact moment I showed not being enough for you, heck you even told me to take a dive off a roof".
Bakugo seemed to cringe at the memory, a wave of guilt suddenly hitting Midoriya, confusing him. "Quit sending me mixed messages then," said Midoriya with a shaky voice, "You spend years treating me as if I was nothing, then you suddenly get less bad and you suddenly want me to believe you can change your mind just because suddenly you know about it?".
His voice broke towards the end, Midoriya keeping himself from crying. "Don't feed my hope if you are not going to change anything, I don't want you to be stuck with me just because apparently it is supposed to be like this". He started hiding in his arm to hide his crying, everything was starting to be too much for him. Lately, everything had been too much, and this sudden turn of event was the last drop he could take after all he had lived through.
He felt that Bakugo wanted to move closer, stopping him before he could do so. "Please don't...".
Aizawa looked at his two students, both of them looking rather shaken by all this. Midoriya was clearly overwhelmed by the discovery of what he seemed to have been hiding for so long, while Bakugo, on the other hand, was just at a loss as to what he was supposed to do or think.
He got up, replacing his capture weapon correctly around his neck. "I can imagine how you feel Midoriya, and as frustrating as it can be, I also can see that you two have a very complicated history, but this is what fated mates are destined to... I'm not saying to act on it, but this is something you two should consider together, you cannot make a choice for the both of you. I'll leave the room for you two to talk about it, take your time, I'll just warn your teachers.".
"Please don't tell anyone" suddenly asked Midoriya before he could get to the door. After all, he had tried to hide it for so long, he wasn't ready for something like this to get out, especially with how things were right now.
"Don't worry, I won't... But I know someone who would like to know, he could probably help you a little" he mentioned, before finally leaving the room.
Once the door was closed he sighed, then turned to the left, the person who was trying to walk away quickly jump. "All Might..." he simply called out, making the man stop in his track.
"I was told something happened with young Midoriya, so I wanted to make sure he was alright, I didn't listen" explained the pro hero. Aizawa looks unsure about that, but from the look of it, the omega wasn't lying either. "I suggested him to talk about it with you later, but right now they both need to talk" he simply explained, "But thing should be alright for now, no one was injured this time" he reassured.
He saw the tension leaving the man shoulder, smiling softly at the mention of them being alright. "This is all I needed to know," he stated. He took a look at the door, feeling like these two might have a long talk to have, he would try and catch up with Midoriya later. He saluted the alpha, before turning back to leave.
