An awkward silence fell in the room once Aizawa was out, only broken by some of Midoriya sobs that he was trying to calm down. Bakugo was still unsure about what to do, sitting down, waiting for the young man to calm down, understanding easily that going to him would only make him more upset. He also tried to calm himself down. Now knowing that he was really affecting Midoriya this much, some guilt slipped in him when he realised how much Midoriya had to put up with, especially with how angry he always had been around him.

After a couple of minutes he felt the young man calming down, his emotion clearly more stable than before, yet he stayed in place with his eyes closed for a little more. Bakugo really couldn't take it anymore, the silence was starting to be too much and he really wanted to talk about this.

"Sorry for yelling" he tried first, "And for grabbing your face too".

"I'm already used to it".

This had hit harder than he would have thought, making him look away, still some annoyance managing to slip in about it. "I don't need you to apologise for all you did, it already done anyway" pointed out Midoriya with a tired sigh.

"No, I really want to apologise, especially for... the taking a dive off the roof one," he said, passing a hand on his neck, "I regretted telling you that immediately after," he said, although there was no way he could prove it. But also he wasn't really expecting for him to be forgiven for what he did, thinking better about it, he did go overboard at some places.

Midoriya didn't speak for a little while, really he wasn't sure why they were still there talking. It was clear Bakugo had some negative sentiment towards him, rooted deep in something he couldn't even begin to understand without him telling him. And it was the same for him, he obviously couldn't forgive him so easily, having himself some deeper feelings that were on the negative side.

No wonder the fated bond wanted them to get together as quick as possible. He had been trying to get away from Bakugo as much as possible, while the alpha had been in the dark this whole time.

But he still couldn't see what they could do about it. All there seemed to be would be forcing themselves to put up with the other just because fate was annoying and cruel. Other than actually becoming enemies, he couldn't see what could be worst than now.

"If we are stuck with this... don't you want to make it work?" asked Bakugo, looking back at him to see how he would react. The omega looked confused and surprised by his suggestion, as if not expecting for him to come up with the idea. "Kacchan... We can barely hold a conversation without getting at each other's throat" pointed out Midoriya.

The young man clicked his tongue, clearly annoyed to be shut down so quickly. Of course, he knew that, but they didn't really have a choice. Bakugo could only guess he would become more aggressive and more possessive because of it, whereas Midoriya's heat would most likely become even more irregular and could but him in danger.

None of them could put easily put aside what they were hiding deeper, but had too much bottled up and kept secret from one another for things to work right now. And right now wasn't the moment to let this all out.

"Still, you can't just decide for to both of us," pointed out the alpha as he leaned back into his chair, sighing, "I'm not going to bite you by force, but if things are really like this, I don't want to mark anyone else" he added. He then concentrated on what the other one was feeling, not having much to work on when Deku wasn't speaking. A weird mix of hope and uncertainty came to him, making him look back to Midoriya.

The silence was really getting on his nerve. When he wanted the omega really could be silent, although it wasn't what he was looking for right now. "What were you planning to do anyway? It better not have been involving someone else" he warned, even if he couldn't control what the other one had been thinking in the past.

Midoriya seemed surprised by the question, unsure if answering would be alright, but upon feeling that Bakugo was only relatively annoyed, he decided to be honest. "I simply decided to never tell you, I figured thing would stay like they were before and that you would never have found out" he explained, "I wasn't expecting for things to escalate like this... I thought you would be happier with someone who wasn't useless and that you would love, after all, you hated everything from me up to my scent".

Then the alpha mumbled something, catching the omega's attention, asking if he could repeat. "I said I didn't hate your scent... I hated how it was smelling so good to me, didn't want to admit it". Bakugo was slightly taken aback by the sudden wave of happiness and relieve he could feel, not expecting for something like this to be such a worrying point for him.

"But still, how could you believe you would have been able to survive so long without a bond?" asked Bakugo, only to see Midoriya starting to frown, annoyance getting on his face, "I don't mean it as in all omega should necessarily have one, but because the work we want to do could be complicated by it" he tried to explain. "Suddenly getting your heat because you were affected by an alpha could be fatal in a battle, or some villain could figure out you are not a beta and just claim you as a way to get to you", he simply pointed out, unsure what the omega had planned.

"You don't need to tell me" quickly said Midoriya, looking away, "I started really worrying about it recently and I was trying to find a way to deal with it, but I don't want to bond with someone just because I need to to be safe...". He didn't want to use Bakugo, he could still remember the expression All Might had made at the thought of his mate believing he used them, he couldn't imagine how he would end up feeling like if he actually did just that himself.

They were hitting a dead end. Bakugo wouldn't force Midoriya despite thinking it would be better, yet the omega didn't want anything of the like if it was just "because fate said so". He could see his point, but it was still reckless to put his safety away like this for the sake of someone who would probably have lived without noticing it once they were out of school.

Midoriya knew he was probably not being that reasonable, but it was something he was set on. He wouldn't just act on something because it was apparently meant to. With how things were, he wasn't sure if any of them would just end up regretting doing it. It was a terrifying thought that to believe one day Bakugo could hate him for it and believe he ruined his life.

Despite really trying to see the positive outcome, the bad one he expected for were always coming back to him. He just couldn't manage to believe in it. Not with how things were, not with how many emotion they had hidden from each other, not with all he was hiding from Bakugo.

Plus, it wasn't unheard of, but they were quite young to decide to actually bond. Even with this fated part, it would normally be when people get older, not directly in childhood.

He somehow thought how funny it was to find it too young for himself than to be marked, yet here he was learning how to fight villain, breaking bone every so often and getting in really dangerous situations.

Yet wouldn't it be weird? They were childhood friend, despite having been on rather bad terms for years now. How could they go from getting at each other throat to somewhat enjoyable mate? "Plus wouldn't it be weird to suddenly jump into something like that? With how we are right now?" he ended up asking.

Bakugo sighed at his question, having never asked for something to be done right now. "Look... I'm not saying we should do anything right now" stated Bakugo, he himself wouldn't be ready for such a thing and would probably end up handling thing wrongly and hurt the omega even more than he did. "But we could... try working our way there," he suggested, "I feel like Aizawa knows well that nothing can be changed, and if it's going to be like that, wouldn't it just be better trying to make it somewhat work?".

Midoriya seemed to think about it, still looking rather unsure about it. "Then, would you be ready to be fully truthful about everything?" he asked, despite knowing he himself had a lot to hide even now. He had his answer when Bakugo didn't give him one right away, looking away. "Me neither" he admitted, looking down, "But... Kacchan is right, we should probably at least try to make it work" he stated.

It would probably be hard for them to do so, but he supposed taking small steps was already better than what they were stuck with right now. Maybe like that, this weird bond would stop panicking because of them and would leave them some free space to work it out.

Bakugo looked back at the omega, sensing he was still unsure, yet he seemed ready to give it a shot. They had a long way to go, that was for sure, none of them could deny it, but they would figure it out at some point. "Then let do that" he replied to Midoriya with a small smile.

Midoriya seemed surprised by the smile, looking away as he suddenly got up It had taken him by surprise, he couldn't remember when was the last time he had received such a genuine smile from him, and not an angry or mocking one. "L-lets get back to the class..." he suggested, before remembering how things went earlier in the day, "Oh no... this is gonna be awkward" he mumbled, suddenly losing himself in those mumbling, overthinking how the other might react to them finally coming back.

"If it can make you feel less anxious, I can tell them it was just me or something like this" suggested Bakugo, "Telling them would probably only make thing more difficult for us" he then pointed out. Midoriya then agreed with him, which was good. For once they were agreeing directly on something.

Bakugo then got up, ready to finally leave now that they were set on something to do about it. He knew staying longer wouldn't make them go farther, neither of them was ready to set everything out right now. It was probably all too new for now. "Then let do our best to make it work, I'll make sure to treat you better and show you I can be a good mate" he affirmed, sounding pretty confident in his success. He would never have thought he'd say something like this, but he couldn't deny this attachment he had for the omega anymore, all he could do was trying.

Midoriya looked back at Bakugp after his words, the alpha confidence in his own words making him feel a little more enthusiastic about this whole plan. This was probably not the most natural way to go with it, but it probably what they would need. With that he smiled back, following him out of the door, feeling a little more confident about it.

Yeah, maybe they could really make it work.
