ZAFT: Oh? Is it time for the next season already?
DarkFoxKit: What do you mean 'already'? It's been half a year since season 1.
Andy: That's not long…. Do we have to do a season 2? I was enjoying my break…
Takuya: You're not the only one, Andy… *Looks nervous*
ZAFT: Oh, it's not the same if there is just one season… Danny Phantom has three, so of course we will do a second season~! :3
DarkFoxKit: And we already have so much planned for you, it'd be a shame to just stop at season 1~
Andy: Well… surely things aren't going to be as bad as they were in season 1, right?
DarkFoxKit: :3
Andy: … Me and my big mouth…
Takuya: *Whimpers* You two love to torment us, don't you?

Chapter 1: Wishful Thinking
Andy Fenton sighed boredly as he opened up his journal, seeing how it was full and he needed a new one. He still couldn't believe how much had happened in the past several months since the accident… The accident…
Back during the tail end of summer vacation, Andy's twin brother, Danny Fenton, who was just 14 years old, went into their parents' lab. Andy had to put away a book for school, while Danny went into the empty Ghost Portal. It was on the prompt by Sam, one of their best friends. Danny accidentally hit the ON button inside the portal, there was a bright flash, a bloodcurdling scream, and Danny had been forever changed since then.
This was the accident that turned Danny into a halfa, or someone who was half human, half ghost. The accident left Danny unconscious in a coma for a while before he woke up and recovered, but after that, he had been pushing Andy away, and for a month, Andy was alone. Then, Andy and Danny's cousin, 15-year-old Takuya Kanbara, had come back to America on a student exchange program a month later, and Andy was no longer alone. But Takuya had been hiding his own secret, a secret that was so much like Danny's and yet so different as well.
After a few days of Takuya being back, Andy encountered beings called Digimon, and not just once. Andy met his own Digimon partner, Dorimon, and at the same time, learned Takuya's own secret; Takuya could become a Digimon himself.
For a while, Andy, Dorimon, and Takuya worked in secret from Danny, Tucker, who was another one of their best friends, and Sam. Then they ended up befriending Dash Baxter, who used to bully Andy and Danny on a daily basis. Andy and Takuya defended Dash from another bully, Bertrand, and ever since then, Dash became a friend. Dash was also granted his own Digimon Spirit, allowing him to become a Digimon as well.
Things got a lot more hectic when they went to visit Vlad Masters in Wisconsin. It was there Takuya discovered what happened to one of the Celestial Digimon, Seraphimon. Seraphimon became a corrupted little Digimon called Tsukaimon, and was Vlad's partner. There was another disturbing secret they learned; Vlad was a halfa, just like Danny was. Danny revealed he was half ghost to Andy as well. Vlad and Tsukaimon were also able to biomerge into ShadowSeraphimon, a very powerful Digimon. Thankfully, they were able to get away from him.
Since then, Andy had to keep Danny's secret from Takuya, while also keeping Takuya's secret from Danny. It wasn't easy, especially when Takuya thought Danny Phantom was hurting his cousin. They also had quite an adventure in the Digital World.
Technus, a technological ghost, had gone to the Digital World, forcing Takuya, Andy, Danny, and their friends, not to mention Jazz Fenton, Andy and Danny's older sister, to go there to help defend it.
Even after the Technus incident, they had to return to the Digital World because of a Digimon called Dreammon putting other Digimon to sleep. Slowly turning Takuya's friends against each other, including Takuya himself. Only one escaped that fate, and he needed help. Having to fight with Takuya was not something Andy enjoyed doing. But thanks to Danny, and a good Tapirmon, they were able to wake them all up and finish off Dreammon.
Eventually, Danny discovered Takuya's secret. And Takuya discovered Danny's. It looked like things were going to work out from there, until Freakshow came into Amity Park.
Freakshow, the ringmaster of Circus Gothica, had a staff that could control ghosts, and he even wound up controlling Danny. Fighting against Danny was something Andy and Takuya had not enjoyed doing, especially Andy because it was his own brother he had to fight. While Danny was eventually freed, the events of Freakshow controlling him had left a mark on both Takuya and Andy, but Takuya more so.
Takuya had become afraid of Danny, and eventually, that fear became so profound, it forced Danny to run away to Vlad, hoping to get answers, taking Freakshow's staff to use on Vlad if needed. Andy and Jazz had gone to stop Danny, but the staff's crystal ball broke, releasing a red mist that entered into Danny and began to corrupt him.
The mist made Danny act more aggressive and more like a ghost, which only made things worse. After some time travel shenanigans, Danny was saved from the mist, and Andy and Takuya learned some valuable lessons at the same time. Though the mist may still be inside Danny, he hadn't needed a reason to use it, so Andy was hoping that meant he would never activate the mist and it would eventually go dormant forever.
Andy stopped flipping through his journal and closed it. Dorimon was on his head, yawning lazily. He was a bit tired from their morning flight. Sam was standing next to them, her own Digimon partner, Gatomon, was standing next to her on all fours like a regular cat. Even though Gatomon didn't look like a regular cat.
Danny, Tucker, and Takuya were standing beside a big, bright yellow and yellow monster truck. Danny and Tucker smiling, almost drooling as they stared, mesmerized by the monster truck.
The group were currently standing at a car dealership's parking lot. And their biggest seller right now were these monster trucks.
Takuya looked a bit unsure as to why he was in front of the monster truck, looking at it with a confused expression.
"Isn't it everything I was telling you and more?" Danny gushed.
"You did not lie, dude… you did not lie…" Tucker drooled.
"And I don't know why I am here…" Takuya groaned as he put a hand to his head, shaking his head as he did so.
"How can you not be impressed!?" Tucker all but shouted as Terriermon, his Digimon partner, was studying the monster truck himself from Tucker's shoulder. "It's the Ginormo 6000! It's the monster truck that's been through several Monster Truck rallies!"
"I'm a sports kid, not a car geek..." Takuya grumbled. He sighed as he shook his head, stalking off to be beside Andy and Sam.
"Monster Truck rallies are considered a sport," Tucker pointed out.
"Not my type of sport, Tucker." Takuya retorted.
"When I get my driver's license, I'd like to drive one of these bad boys." Danny smiled. "What do you think, Andy?"
"I'm not really as into monster trucks as you are, bro. I'm more of an anime kid. Besides, that thing is a giant metal death trap," Andy replied.
"Huh…" Patamon looked at the truck as he was on Danny's head. "Why do I suddenly get the feeling one of the Trailmon might end up falling in love with this thing?"
"I wouldn't put it past one, given how the Trailmon are trains and all." Danny replied with a grin.
Takuya suddenly felt a disturbed feeling from his Spirits; apparently the Spirits of Flame found that idea disturbing.
"We should probably go soon, or you'll all be late for school." Gatomon frowned.
Sam walked over to the monster truck, she grabbed onto one of the monster truck's windows to pull herself up to see a list of what the Ginormo 6000 was made out of. "Seats made of owl leather? Interior wood panelling from the amazon rainforest? 12 gallons to the mile? This car is an environmental nightmare!"
Sam looked completely outraged by this truck. Andy and Takuya slowly backed away, not wanting to get involved with what Sam may be planning for that poor, poor truck.
Sam saw Takuya inching away and grabbed his arm, earning a yelp from the boy. She looked at Danny at the same time, a grin on her face. "Do you know what you could do, Danny? You and Takuya? You, Danny, could totally haunt this place and scare people away from here to make them buy something else! And Takuya could be your familiar who would scare off any who don't believe you to be haunting this area!"
Takuya grimaced. "Oh no… No way!"
Danny gave Sam a deadpan look. "No Sam. I'm not going to do that."
"Cut it out, Sam, it's a cool truck!" Tucker frowned.
"Besides, if you had Danny and Takuya do that, you could make people lose their jobs," Andy added.
"Then… maybe Gatomon could destroy these trucks," Sam suggested.
"Sam… I'd rather you didn't have me destroy other people's properties just because you don't agree with them." Gatomon frowned disapprovingly.
"Besides, Tucker's right, that is a cool truck." Terriermon grinned. "I bet I could hot wire that baby."
"Please don't." Danny frowned.
"Besides, Sam, this wouldn't be the first time one of your ideas got Danny into trouble," Tucker reminded.
"What are you talking about?" Sam asked before she remembered something very important. "Oh…"
FLASHBACK
"Smile!" Sam said as a camera flashed.
Danny blinked as his eyes cleared from the camera flash. He was currently standing by the deactivated Fenton Ghost Portal, holding up his white and black hazmat suit. He finally cleared his vision.
"Okay, you took a picture of the portal, now can we get out of here?" Danny asked as he lowered his hazmat suit. "Our parents could be back here any minute. Besides, they say it doesn't work."
"Well, we all saw it didn't work…" Andy added, who was also holding his own white and dark blue hazmat suit. "Our parents were pretty upset about that."
"Yeah, that's unfortunate. It would've been cool to see a portal to another dimension," Tucker remarked, looking at the inactive ghost portal.
Sam smiled as she looked into the portal herself, it looked quite futuristic inside. "I mean a ghost portal sounds really cool. Haven't you two ever wondered what it would be like to explore the other side of the portal?"
Danny did have to admit, he had indeed wondered what lurked on the other side of the living world. "It would be pretty neat to explore the world of the ghostly…" He admitted sheepishly.
"Come on, it's just a big hole in the wall, it's not going to lead you to some ghostly dimension," Andy pointed out, though he was pretty curious himself.
Danny walked up to the portal, looking at it with a bit of an excited look in his eyes. "Maybe we should check it out, bro. I mean, who knows what awesome, and yet super cool things may lurk beyond that portal?"
Danny began to put on the hazmat suit while Andy was hesitating. Danny was more adventurous, while Andy was the more cautious one between the two of them.
"I… I don't know… I'm not sure if it's safe to go in there." Andy frowned.
Danny zipped up his hazmat suit. It was mostly white and black, which made the Jack Fenton sticker patch on his chest stick out like a sore thumb. "We'll just go in and out, bro, nothing's going to happen."
Danny turned to enter the portal, only for Sam to stop him. "Hold it…" She walked over to Danny, only to pull the Jack Fenton sticker off of his chest. "You can't go walking around with that on your chest."
"Hold on, I'll go in too. I'm not letting you go in there alone, bro," Andy stated, and was about to put on his own hazmat suit when they heard Maddie's voice calling from the kitchen.
"ANDY! COME UP HERE AND GET YOUR BOOK RIGHT NOW!"
Andy pouted as he dropped his hazmat suit to the floor. "Nevermind… I better go get my book and put it in my backpack."
Danny chuckled at his brother's predicament. "Just be back soon, bro. I don't want you to miss this."
"Whatever, just don't get stuck in some wires or something," Andy grumbled as he walked upstairs, leaving the lab.
With Andy gone, Danny turned and proceeded to walk to the Fenton Ghost Portal. He was too curious to wait for Andy. But as Danny walked inside, he noticed it got a lot darker, and harder to see. In an attempt to feel for the wall so he wouldn't trip on a wire or something, Danny held up his right hand. Unfortunately, Danny's hand did not touch a wall, instead, whatever it touched went down and let out a beeping noise. About a second later, before Danny could realize what he even touched, there was a bright flash of green light, electricity and ectoplasm surged through Danny's body, and Danny let out a blood curdling scream.
That was when Danny had changed into a halfa, and how it had affected those around him.
Andy and Takuya did not appreciate hearing this story again, since neither of them had been there when it happened, hearing Danny had screamed like that just made it worse in their imagination.
Sam gave a wince at the memory. "Yeah… I guess you're right…" She actually felt a bit bad she had put Danny through all of that pain. "But, you gotta admit, if I hadn't been there, he'd be flying around with his dad's face on his chest!"
"Not to mention… Dad's face would've been inverted as well… what would that have looked like?" Andy questioned.
For some reason, Andy imagined an inside-out Jack Fenton's face. Ugh… sometimes my imagination can be a curse...
Takuya noticed Andy's look and grimaced himself. I don't think I want to know what is going through Andy's mind...
Sam looked a bit pleased with an idea she had. "Want to know how you can say 'thank you' for keeping you from flying around with your dad's face on your chest? By crushing a few trucks."
"What makes you think I can crush these trucks anyways?" Danny asked.
"You're able to smash through buildings, and your ghost ray is able to blast through steel, need I say more?" Sam raised an eyebrow.
"Sam, I'm the good guy, so unless these super awesome trucks are being used for evil, I'm not doing anything like that." Danny replied. "And no, I am not talking about being an environmental disaster."
Sam frowned before she looked at Takuya.
"No, don't look at me, I'm not going to do it," Takuya quickly said.
Sam then looked at Andy. "Hey, you're good at blowing things up, maybe you could destroy a few of these trucks with Dorugamon?"
"Hey, that sounds like fun!" Dorimon smiled.
"Dorimon!" Andy hissed before looking at Sam. "Look, Sam, I know you really don't like these trucks, but crushing them will only do more harm than good. People could lose their jobs, this place could get blacklisted for things out of their control. You should think more about the consequences other than just the environment all the time."
Takuya nodded in agreement with Andy's words. "Andy's right, Sam. Sometimes you need to think before you act. How would you feel if someone cost you your job because of something they felt was wrong?"
"If they kill the Earth, then jobs will be meaningless," Sam huffed.
"I wonder if this has a GPS guidance system?" Tucker remarked, ignoring Sam.
"It's definitely got big, spinning rims~" Terriermon smiled.
Danny smiled at hearing that. "Big, spinning rims are cool!" He agreed. "Hey, Patamon, are there any monster truck Digimon?"
"Uh… well…" Patamon hesitated. "There's a motorcycle Digimon."
SMACK! That was Takuya's hand hitting his own face.
"I wonder what a motorcycle Digimon would taste like?" Dorimon remarked.
Sam grumbled as she started walking away. "Ugh, forget this, I'm going to school."
"Sam, I know things aren't working out for you, but you shouldn't get too upset with the boys. They are right you know, they can't just go around destroying trucks just because you don't agree with how they're made," Gatomon stated as she followed Sam.
Sam sighed. "I suppose they're right. It's just I'm so passionate about the environment, and I can't stand it when others hurt the planet."
"I understand. We have a lot of plant-like Digimon in the Digital World who would agree with you on that. But we have to use our judgement wisely since we have great power, especially in the human world," Gatomon informed.
Sam grumbled. "I get it. Still, I can't help but wish someone would destroy these stupid trucks…"
"Maybe you can start a petition? Make suggestions on how they could make monster trucks without hurting the environment? If nothing else, it would be a start at fixing the problem without destroying anything," Gatomon suggested.
Sam seemed to perk up at that suggestion. "Yeah… maybe I could." She felt foolish now. "Boy, do I feel foolish for not thinking of a petition…" She muttered, blushing a bit.
"And with your family's name, you could be a pretty big influencer too," Gatomon added.
"True… heh, what would I do without you, Gatomon?" Sam chuckled.
Gatomon stopped suddenly, her ears going up. "Something's wrong… I think there's a ghost nearby."
Sam paused in her walking. "A ghost? Uh oh…" Sam muttered. "That means trouble…"
They didn't see a ghost, but they did see a pink beam being aimed for a giant metallic cow on top of a restaurant named Daisy's Dairy Diner. When the beam hit the cow, the cow glowed or a second before it started moving. Its eyes turned blood red, and it let out a growl as it turned to the car dealership.
"Danny, we really need to go. We got up early so we wouldn't be late for school, but the longer you and Tucker gawk at the monster truck, the more likely we'll be late anyways!" Andy spoke up.
Danny looked back at Andy before he sighed. "Okay, bro… You win." He muttered. Then he grinned. "Besides, we can come back here and look some more after school anyway."
Terriermon and Tucker both grinned at the idea of coming back to gawk at the monster truck again.
"Besides, didn't you come here to talk to Takuya? You know, bond with him maybe?" Andy reminded in annoyance.
Danny went red in the face at the reminder. "Gah! I'm such an idiot!" He muttered as he smacked himself with his hand.
Takuya looked back at Danny. "Is that why you dragged me here? To 'bond'?"
"Ehehe… Yeah… Sorry about that, cuz…" Danny admitted sheepishly. "I wanted to make sure you were… well… okay with being around me since well… you know…" Danny trailed off, reminding Takuya of what had gone down recently.
Before Takuya could reply, a giant hoof crushed the monster truck they had been gawking at, which was enough to push the group back. The cow let out a loud 'MOO' as it glared at the other monster trucks.
Takuya landed on his butt and groaned. "Ugh… Ow, ow, ow…" He hissed, rubbing his bruised butt. He then looked up, only to gape at the giant cow. "Oh crap…"
"Okay… a giant cow… did not expect that to happen this morning…" Andy gaped.
"Is it made of metal?" Dorimon asked before stars sparkled in his eyes. "IT'S BREAKFAST TIME!"
"No, wait!" Andy called out as Dorimon jumped from his head.
The cow lifted up its back leg, showing its udders. It then sprayed out gushes of milk at them.
Takuya yelped as he rolled to the side, barely avoiding getting squirted with milk. But Andy, Dorimon, Tucker, Terriermon, Patamon, and Danny were all not so lucky. They were all soaked in milk, and Dorimon landed in Andy's arms after getting pushed back by the milk.
"How… does a metallic cow… have milk?" Andy questioned, completely stupified, and wondering if this was even real milk on them.
"I think I became lactose intolerant…" Tucker muttered, also completely stupified, as well as grossed out.
"Alright, clearly this cow has a problem," Danny grumbled.
The people in the area were running away screaming, trying to get away from the truck stomping cow.
"Danny, get behind those cars and change. We'll deal with this cow until then," Andy instructed, trying to ignore the milk that was all over him.
Danny nodded. "Right." He ran behind some cars nearby and looked around before deeming he was safe. Danny then called upon his ghostly side, the white ring of light appearing around his waist before splitting and traveling up and down his body to reveal the black and white hazmat suit, glowing white hair, and glowing green eyes that were typical of Danny Phantom.
Takuya felt too sore to Spirit Evolve, and he could sense the power level of this cow, it wasn't very strong. At least compared to what they had faced before. Danny could easily defeat this cow by himself. Heck, Dorumon could just eat the thing. Still, Takuya didn't want this cow causing too much property damage.
"Hey, you big, overgrown hamburger! Over here!" Takuya shouted, catching the angry cow's attention.
The cow turned, seeing the boy waving his arms.
"Yeah, that's right, come and get me, you grass muncher!" Takuya taunted, putting a finger to his eye and pulling down the eyelid. "NYA!"
The cow started moving towards Takuya.
Tucker and Terriermon started running under the cow.
"Revenge for that milk blast!" Tucker shouted.
"Bunny Blast!" Terriermon shot out green energy pellets at the cow's udders.
The cow let out a loud MOO and looked down, growling at Tucker and Terriermon.
"Uh… uh oh…" Terriermon gulped.
Tucker looked uneasy as well. "We'd better run…" He squeaked out before he grabbed Terriermon by the arm and began to run from the cow. "Don't eat me!"
"Metal Cannon!" Dorumon, who had digivolved from Dorimon, shot out an iron ball at the cow's leg, causing it to dent a bit.
Dorumon then ran at the cow and bit down on the leg he dented.
"Dorumon!" Andy shouted. "What are you doing!?"
"Time to eat!" Dorumon exclaimed as he began to munch on the metal cow's leg.
"Dorumon! Let go of the cow!" Andy demanded as he ran to his partner and grabbed his tail to pull him away from the cow. "It'll crush you!"
Dorumon heard Andy's words, and while he was not willing to let a tasty meal go, complied with Andy's instructions and let go of the cow's leg.
Of course, this did lead into Andy, who was pulling Dorumon's tail, to fall back with Dorumon landing on top of him.
"Ugh… did you gain weight?" Andy groaned.
"Hey, don't blame me for being a metal-eater…" Dorumon grumbled with a pout.
The cow growled as it turned to Andy and Dorumon, holding up its front hoof to crush them. Andy and Dorumon gasped, but thankfully for them, ghost rays fired at the cow's side, stopping it from putting its hoof through them.
"You leave my brother and his partner alone!" Danny shouted, now in his ghost form.
Patamon was still on Danny's head.
"Yeah, you… overgrown… grass… burger?" Patamon tried to quip, but it backfired spectacularly. "Oh… Celestials… that was a bad quip…"
"Uh… yeah, just leave the quips to me and Takuya," Danny said. "By the way, did you use your title as a-"
The cow jumped at Danny and Patamon. Patamon shot out a Boom Bubble at the cow's face, making it miss Danny completely.
"Thanks, Patamon!" Danny said with a grateful tone in his voice before he focused back on the metal cow. "Now, time to put this bad meat out to pasture!" He flew at the metal cow, ecto-energy around one of his fists. He let out a ghost ray at the cow's head, intent on destroying the 'brain' so to speak.
Terriermon and Dorumon used their Bunny Blast and Metal Cannon behind the cow, distracting it as Danny fired his ghost ray. The ghost ray went through the cow's head. The cow's eyes widened before they stopped glowing red. The cow became lifeless once more and fell to the ground, unfortunately crushing more monster trucks when it did.
"Huh… looks like Sam got her wish in a way…" Terriermon commented. "Those poor, beautiful trucks… rest in pieces…"
Danny frowned. "Yeah… It's odd… but… it could be a coincidence…"
"Is everyone okay?" Sam asked, running towards them.
"We saw some kind of ghostly ray bringing a giant metal cow to life- oh, you seemed to have already taken care of that," Gatomon noted, seeing the same cow lying lifelessly on several monster trucks.
"H-how did this cow come here? And… did it destroy monster trucks?" Sam asked, frowning a bit.
"Yes, yes it did," Takuya answered, rubbing his sore arms.
"Well… are you happy now, Sam?" Tucker frowned.
Sam crossed her arms. "Look, I didn't bring that cow to life, alright? Though I can't say I'm too upset that the trucks were crushed."
Takuya was muttering under his breath, trying to work his way past the soreness he was feeling. "I swear, I feel like an old man with how sore I am… Ow…"
Danny looked around, seeing nobody was nearby, before he called upon his ring of light to split horizontally, changing him back to his human form. "We should go before the cops get here to clean up."
Andy noticed Dorumon was drooling as he stared at the cow.
"Before that… Danny, could you do me a quick favor?" Andy requested.
"Uh… sure?" Danny replied, looking at Andy. "What do you need?"
Danny, Andy, Tucker, Sam, Takuya, and their Digimon were walking along the sidewalk. Dorumon was munching on the cow's leg that Danny cut with his ghost ray for Dorumon to eat. The group had to keep walking in a certain position to keep Dorumon hidden from the public eye while he was eating.
"I'm getting kind of chilly walking out here with milk all over me," Andy grumbled. "I don't know how we're going to survive school like this."
Danny smacked himself with his hand. "Ugh… I forgot about that…" He then turned intangible and the milk flowed off of him. Danny returned to tangibility and smiled at the lack of milk on his body. "There we go."
"Are you… are you serious? You can just… phase liquid off of you!?" Andy gaped.
"Want me to do the same for you, bro?" Danny asked with a cheeky grin.
Tucker and Andy gave each other a grumbling look. Both probably thinking the same thing. Halfas, they have everything.
"Yes, I would love for you to do that same for me, because my complaints about the milk earlier wasn't obvious enough," Andy grumbled.
Danny sheepishly grinned before he put a finger on Andy and turned him intangible, allowing the milk to flow off of Andy as well. Danny then did the same for Tucker, the milk flowing off of Tucker as well. "Ehehe… Sorry about that, bro."
"Well, at least you got that milk off of us," Andy sighed.
"There are perks to having a half ghost for a friend~" Tucker grinned.
"Glad I was on you, so I was turned intangible too," Terriermon remarked.
"What about me?" Dorumon asked, still having milk on his fur.
Danny grinned and touched a finger to Dorumon's forehead, turning him intangible as well, allowing the milk to flow off of his fur. Danny removed his finger, allowing Dorumon to return to a tangible form.
"Thank you~" Dorumon smiled before he went back to munching on the cow leg.
"Okay, now that that's taken care of…" Sam smiled before she pointed at a poster. "Check this out! Trinity of Doom! It's showing in theaters this Friday! Femalien vs Terminitra vs Nightmarica! All my favorite, female movie monsters in one film!"
Takuya walked up a bit, a hand on his back. "Ow…" He straightened himself out, wincing as his back sent a twinge of soreness through it. "Agh… That smarts…" He then noticed the poster himself and gave a grimace. "Horror films? No thank you…"
"It's less of a horror film, and more of a fighter's movie, showing which of the three is the strongest, or the craftiest," Andy explained. "I've seen the trailers."
"So it's a chick flick?" Tucker asked.
"Why is it considered a chick flick? Because all the monsters are girls?" Sam frowned.
"You've fought with real monsters before," Gatomon chuckled.
"Those 'monsters', or Digimon, are actually alive, so it doesn't count." Sam reminded Gatomon. "I'm talking about the horror monsters. Besides, think about it; the three biggest female monsters battling it out with a big budget, special effects, bonanza!"
"Oooh, that sounds like my kind of thing." Terriermon smiled. "Maybe we could make our own movie."
"You know, we totally could." Tucker agreed. "We have the real monsters for it, and the special effects are mostly real too."
Danny couldn't help but grin at the idea of making a real monster movie. "That sounds like it could be fun. Maybe we could do it for a class project or something down the road."
Andy had to admit, that did sound like fun, just as long as Dorumon didn't eat the camera.
"Then you can see how it's done." Sam smiled. "We can go on Friday, I already bought us tickets."
Danny looked excited, but before he could respond, the group heard a familiar voice calling out to them, or more specifically, to Danny.
"Danny!" It was Paulina, coming up to them with a stack of papers in her hands.
Everyone turned their attention to Paulina, who was the most popular girl at their school. And for good reason; she was not only the prettiest girl in school, though that was subjective if you asked Andy, she was also the captain of her cheerleader squad.
"You never told me if you were coming to my quinceanera this Friday," Paulina stated as she held out a flyer for her quinceanera to Danny.
"That's because, when you invited me, I thought you were joking." Danny pointed out as Paulina handed him a paper on the event.
Patamon and Terriermon remained still, pretending to be stuffed animals. The group kept Dorumon hidden behind them. Gatomon acted like a normal cat.
"And forgot to invite me," Tucker added.
"And remembered not to invite me," Sam grumbled.
"I wouldn't go anyways," Andy huffed.
Takuya grumbled. "And I'm too sore to go anywhere anyway…"
Paulina looked surprised before she giggled. "Oh, no silly… You're all invited!" She handed Sam, Tucker, Andy, and Takuya an invite each as well.
Tucker was pretty happy about this development. Sam, Takuya, and Andy were… less so. Sam was more angry about it, since they were supposed to see her movie this Friday, not go to some stupid popular kid's party.
"I knew Danny wouldn't come if I didn't invite you 4, and I especially want Danny to be there," Paulina stated with a dreamy smile on her face.
This… this is a dream right? Or… what if we're still inside Sakkakumon, and I just think this is my life now? Andy frowned, starting to get worried that might be the case. Paulina never acts this nice to us, why does she seem to suddenly like Danny now?
"Me?" Danny asked, as if in shock.
"Of course." Paulina purred. "My papa is throwing the party at the country club, and it's happening the same day as the meteor shower." She added before looking at Danny again. "And I really want that ghost boy to show up, and since the ghost boy seems to show up wherever you go, I figured I had no choice but to invite you and your loser friends."
"Ah, there's the Paulina we all know and despise." Andy grinned, feeling more relieved than insulted. "But wait… what kind of conclusion is that? You think the ghost boy is stalking Danny or something?" I mean Takuya and I came up with our own crazy theories about Danny's relationship with Phantom, but stalking him wasn't quite one of them… I'm surprised it wasn't actually.
"I don't think the ghost boy is stalking Danny!" Paulina retorted, feeling insulted. "He just appears wherever Danny shows up!"
Takuya felt like grinning like a loon, but he kept his face neutral.
"Yeah, but you're kinda implying that the ghost boy is stalking Danny when you say that," Andy pointed out.
"Well I'm not!" Paulina grumbled. "Anyways, I hope to see you at the party, Danny, and the ghost boy too~"
Paulina winked at Danny, making him smile as he still had that crush on Paulina.
"He'll be there, Paulina, I promise." Danny smiled as Paulina was walking away.
"Normally I'd say don't make promises you can't keep, but then again you are said ghost boy," Andy muttered.
Danny gave a look to Andy. "Aw, c'mon bro! Don't be such a downer. We never get invited to these kinds of parties."
"Uh… Dash, big party bash, invited you, ring a bell?" Andy pointed out.
Danny deadpanned. "I was not being literal, bro. Besides, I was being a jerk to you all. This time we're all invited, how often does that happen?"
"Because she's having this party on Friday!" Sam growled, pointing at the movie poster. "Didn't we all agree on watching this movie this Friday? Besides, these tickets are non-refundable!"
"I much rather watch this movie than go to that stuck up beauty snob's party," Andy agreed.
"And I would rather just not go anywhere… Damn soreness…" Takuya grumbled.
"Please, Sam?" Danny pleaded. "And Andy, this would be a good chance for you to give Paulina a chance."
"Are you sure you want to go to this girl's party? She hadn't exactly been nice to you," Patamon reminded. "Remember that time when that ghost… Kitty, was it? Took over Paulina?"
"This is different," Danny assured.
Sam crossed her arms, and Andy put his hands on his hips, looking at Tucker and Danny.
Tucker looked at Sam. "And if Danny doesn't go, I don't get to go!" He protested.
Terriermon smacked Tucker's face lightly. "Remember Nikki? Your girlfriend?"
"C'mon Terriermon! It's not like I will be dating Paulina! I just want to go to the party!" Tucker whined. "Besides, I could probably invite Nikki to this party too."
Andy sighed, and rubbed his neck, hoping he wouldn't regret this. "Sam, is it possible to see the movie on another day?"
Sam frowned, looking down at Gatomon. Gatomon just looked at her, waiting to hear what she would say in this situation. Sam sighed, knowing that Gatomon would disapprove of her if she chose to remain stubborn. Her friends really did want to go, except for Andy and maybe Takuya. Even though the tickets weren't refundable, the money loss was just a drop in the bucket for her. And they could see the movie at any time, they didn't have to see it on Friday.
"Okay, fine… we can go to the party…" Sam sighed. "It's not like the movie is only a one-time showing anyway… We can go see it another time I suppose."
With that said, Danny and Tucker gave each other a happy high five.
"This is so awesome! I can't wait to tell Nikki about this!" Tucker grinned.
Danny smiled as he looked at Andy and Sam. "You two are coming too, aren't you?"
"I don't know, I may have to go on patrol while you party. And literally anything else," Andy grumbled.
San sighed. "I'll be there…"
Danny gave a glance at Takuya, who only winced at the soreness of his muscles. "I'll have to see how sore I am, but I will try to come, if I can."
"Come on, bro, don't be a stick in the mud," Danny pouted.
"It might be good to go, you might have fun there," Patamon suggested.
"I'd like to go." Dorumon smiled. "Pleeeeeease?"
Andy sighed, grumbling. "Fine, fine, we'll go. Happy?"
Danny grinned. "Thank you, bro!" He jumped on Andy in a hug.
"Shouldn't you kids be getting to school soon?" Gatomon spoke up.
"Oh, that's right! We're going to be so late!" Tucker remembered.
"Let's book it then!" Danny quickly said.
The group quickly started running, Takuya groaning as he limped after them. Sam and Gatomon just stood there for a moment.
"I'm proud of you, Sam. I know it must've been hard, but I'm glad you didn't stick to just wanting to see the movie," Gatomon stated.
Sam sighed. "Yeah, I know. I really wanted to see the movie, but it will be in theatres for a while, so I can go see it another time. It's not a one-time show, so that's one good thing I can be happy about."
"Yeah. Now we should go, we don't want to be late, do we?" Gatomon chuckled.
"Yeah… Guess we don't. It's a shame though, I would've liked to see the movie on Friday. So unless something happens to Paulina and the party was cancelled, I'll just have to be patient. Not that I'd wish that on her of course," Sam remarked.
Gatomon gave a chuckle at the comment. "True. That would be just cruel to wish such a thing on something someone has been looking forward to for a while."
The two of them began walking down the sidewalk to catch up with the others, not knowing of a certain genie ghost hearing Sam's words.
Andy, Danny, Tucker, Sam, and Takuya were currently in the same class. It was literature class, but Mr. Lancer decided to teach astronomy for some reason today. Actually, there was a reason. Due to the fact there was going to be a meteor shower this coming Friday, Mr. Lancer thought it was a good opportunity to teach the class about astronomy. Danny enjoyed it at the very least, the young, aspiring astronaut.
Mr. Lancer held up a rock and pointed it at a globe he had on the desk. "Thousands of meteors will be visible in the skies of Amity Park, this Friday. People tend to wish upon these… 'falling stars', without realizing that at the speeds they're falling, they could drill through your tiny skulls as if they were wet toilet paper!"
Everyone stared at Mr. Lancer for his comment. Takuya looked at Andy and whispered to him. "Is Mr. Lancer in a bad mood or something? That was… a bit… disturbing… what he said…"
"I think Mr. Lancer is bitter about the whole 'people wishing on the falling stars' thing, not sure why though," Andy shrugged.
Sam, meanwhile, was doodling in her notebook. She had no interest in this subject, and she already knew about what the meteor shower was. Gatomon lifted her head up from Sam's backpack, noticing the little ghost doodles Sam drew, and different kinds of 'DP' symbols in unusual shapes. There was one that was a straight up 'D' with three lines behind it, and a 'P' in the middle that looked pretty good. Obviously Sam thought the same thing as she circled that particular symbol.
"Daydreaming about your favorite superhero?~" Gatomon whispered with a teasing tone.
Sam gently pushed Gatomon back into her backpack in response. "Now is not the time, Gatomon." Sam whispered back.
"You have a lot of DP symbols. Why not make some for Andy?" Gatomon suggested as Gatomon was being pushed back into her backpack.
"Why? He's not half ghost," Sam questioned.
"Just something he could maybe use to feel a little more… better about himself, maybe? Like feel closer to his brother even if he's not half ghost. Dorimon sometimes tells me that Andy pretends he's flying in his room as if he was a ghost too whenever Danny leaves to go on patrol," Gatomon informed.
Sam blinked before she felt a smile crossing her face at the mental image of Andy pretending to fly in his room. "That may be a good idea. Although I can't help but find it adorable that Andy pretends to have ghost powers too." Sam then began to draw the 'AP' logo in her notebook, trying to figure out which design would work best for it. Should I make it a different design than Danny's? Hmmm...
While Sam was doing that, Paulina was giving a dreamy smile. "Papa said that the stars are falling on my birthday, just for me~ And I'm going to wish to meet the ghost boy. And if one of those meteors flies towards me, the ghost boy can save me! Then we'll go on a date, and I'll get to kiss the ghost boy, and we'll get married and live happily ever after!"
Andy tried not to gag at the thought of his brother marrying Paulina. Though Danny looked very happy at the idea.
As for Takuya, he grimaced at the idea of Paulina marrying his younger cousin.
"There really isn't much I could wish for right now…" Dash muttered. "I suppose I could wish for extra arms or something to be more efficient, but then I'd be sent off to the government to be experimented on…"
Calvin looked at Dash, surprised at what he was saying. "Are you serious, dude?! Extra arms means you could wail on the nerds more! Like this!"
Calvin punched the nearest 'nerd' to him, which was unfortunately, Andy. Andy let out a hiss as the jock punched his shoulder. "Ow!"
Dash just rolled his eyes at the attempt to get him back into the A-List. "No thanks. You can have the extra arms and be seen as a freak."
Andy suddenly held onto his backpack, as Dorimon was quite angry at Calvin for punching his partner. He had to keep Dorimon still, and to keep him from popping out to bite Calvin in the nose.
The backpack was shaking and moving around, but Dorimon wasn't able to jump out due to Andy holding the top shut. Muffled sounds could be heard, but not enough to be audible as words.
Luckily, before anyone could notice the muffled sounds coming from the moving backpack, Danny's ghost sense went off, and the entire classroom shook for a second. Then a big, green, humanoid alien creature came smashing through the ceiling. It looked like a woman that had been mutated. She had sharp, long, yellow claws, a tail, and fangs on her cheeks pointing upwards. The students all screamed and started to scramble around in a panic.
Takuya gaped. "Aw, c'mon…" He groaned as he felt a ghostly energy coming from the alien woman. "Not now…" He hated his life at the moment.
The alien woman looked around before laying eyes on one student in particular. "Paulina…" The alien woman hissed as it eyed the Latina girl.
"Did it just say your name?" Dash frowned, who was beside Paulina, Tucker, Sam, and Andy.
"Neat!" Paulina smiled.
"Not neat! It means it's after you!" Andy snapped. "Get your too skinny butt out of here!"
Paulina was too thrilled over the prospect of the ghost boy saving her from this creature though, so she was not running like any sane person would be.
"The ghost boy should be here any minute now! He can save me!" Paulina grinned.
"You are stupid…" Sam groaned.
Mr. Lancer was yelling something, though the others couldn't hear because they were busy arguing and the alien monster was roaring. Mr. Lancer smacked the alien woman's back of the head with a fire extinguisher, causing a loud CLANG, and… the alien just looked back in annoyance, showing no sign of injury.
"Oh well… I tried…" Mr. Lancer muttered before he screamed one word. "RUN!"
He grabbed the fire alarm and pulled it, the loud noise intended to be the signal to escape from the building.
Mr. Lancer ran behind all the other students, wanting to make sure everyone got out safely. Everyone, including Takuya, Andy, Tucker, and Sam, ran out of the classroom. Danny was hiding behind a wall, waiting for everyone to leave. When nobody was left in the classroom, Danny took this time to transform into Danny Phantom.
The rings traveled up and down Danny's body, revealing his ghostly form. He then flew off after the alien, which was chasing Paulina. She was running for her life. Paulina didn't know how she ended up alone, or why the alien creature was after her. She just knew she had to run for her life, unfortunately, she wasn't quite used to running. She was pretty slow, and the alien was quickly catching up to her.
"Paulina!" Someone grabbed her from another classroom, and pulled her in before shutting the door.
The alien roared as she tried to break down the door, only to see several barricades in her way.
"Are you okay?"
Paulina looked up, surprised to see it was Andy of all people who saved her, the one boy who didn't actually like her or fall for her charms.
"W-why would you care?" Paulina snapped, not that it could be blamed on her attitude; she had been running for her life from an alien after all.
"Just because I don't worship the ground you walk on doesn't mean I'm heartless," Andy replied. "We need to get you out of here. I don't know why that alien is going after you, but we need to get you to safety. The barricade isn't going to last long."
Andy took Paulina's hand and was about to take her to the window when Paulina yanked her hand away.
"Who said you can touch my hand?" Paulina snapped.
"Are you serious right now?" Andy frowned, exasperated. "Fine, then just get over here!"
Andy opened up the window.
Paulina walked over, only to see the window led outside. She could see the ground just below her, and she paled a bit. "You want me to jump?!" She exclaimed in horror.
"There's someone down there to catch you," Andy said.
The door was banged on again, making Paulina pause in her next protest. Fight or flight instinct took over, but something kept her rooted to one spot.
"Hey, if you jump, the ghost boy may catch you," Andy stated.
Paulina didn't hesitate after hearing Andy's words. "Save me, ghost boy!" She cried as she jumped out of the window.
Paulina didn't see the ghost boy, however, someone did catch her. Just not who she was hoping for.
"I gotcha!" A tall, armored looking man with way too much hair called out, jumping up to her and catching her.
The armored man landed, holding Paulina in his arms. "Are you okay?" He asked as he looked at her with his bright blue eyes.
"Ah! Let me go you big cosplaying weirdo!" Paulina shouted, struggling in Agunimon's arms.
"H-hey! I just saved you!" Agunimon protested, but he did put her down. "Geez… you really need to be more grateful to those who actually risk their lives to save you…"
Paulina frowned, she didn't see Andy jumping out the window. Is he still trapped in the building?
Andy and Dorumon stood by the barricaded door, seeing that the alien was about to break through it.
"Are you ready, Dorumon?" Andy asked, getting his Fenton Rod out of his pocket and extending it.
"I am." Dorumon replied as he bared his many fangs. "Let's see if this alien can beat a Digimon!"
The alien woman busted through the barricade, she let out a roar. Andy and Dorumon were about to attack when Danny Phantom suddenly came through and tackled the alien, turning her and himself intangible, causing both of them to phase through the floor. Andy and Dorumon blinked, looking down at the floor.
"Well… that was anticlimactic…" Dorumon huffed.
Andy tapped his foot on the floor. "We can't follow them either…"
"I bet you're wishing you had ghost powers right now~" Dorumon teased Andy.
"Shut up," Andy huffed. "And no, no I do not."
Meanwhile, Danny let go of the alien when they were down in the storage room. It was pretty dusty inside, and there were a lot of old school supplies kept down here. Though Danny wasn't paying those much attention right now.
Danny watched as the alien hit the ground, just as he returned himself, and Patamon, to a tangible state. The alien growled as she glanced back at the ghost boy and his Digimon partner. The alien tried to smack Danny with her tail, but Patamon was quick to react. "Boom Bubble!" The attack hit the alien before she could hit Danny.
The alien then swiped her claws at Patamon. Patamon yelped as he was scratched by her. She was strong, but she wasn't anything Danny couldn't handle. Patamon hissed as he rubbed his cheeks. Patamon could digivolve, but he could tell that wouldn't be necessary.
The alien fired some sharp darts at Danny and Patamon from some kind of device on her wrist. Danny yelped as he dodged each dart, though one of them did graze his arm. Patamon flew under the darts aimed at him, and slapped away the others with his wings.
"Boom Bubble!" Patamon shot out another air bubble at the alien.
At the same time, Danny fired his ghost ray. The air bubble and the ghost ray ended up fusing with each other, which surprised Danny. The air bubble was now coated with ecto energy, turning into a big ball of digital and ghost energy. The alien let out a shriek as the ecto bubble slammed into her and exploded. Half of her body parts were missing. She was missing her legs and tail.
"Wow… that was some explosion…" Danny muttered in surprise and awe.
"Yeah… that's a first time for me too. Vlad and I never could get our combined moves to fuse perfectly like that," Patamon noted in surprise as well.
Danny saw the alien's half body was starting to fade. He needed to know why she was going after Paulina before she disappeared. "What did you want with Paulina? And if someone sent you, who sent you?"
The alien, despite fading away slowly, spoke one word, or rather, one name. "Sam…" With that said, the alien faded away, leaving behind nothing except the minor damage caused by the ecto bubble attack.
"Looks like we're taking an early lunch break," Patamon noted.
"And someone's got some explaining to do," Danny added, before noticing the tear on his suit was regenerating itself. It was convenient, but also creepy.
Since the alien was taken care of, the students of Casper High were outside for an early lunch. Danny, Tucker, Sam, Andy, and Takuya, as well as their Digimon partners, were sitting on a picnic table. Danny just told them about the alien's last word before she faded away.
"Are you sure it said 'Sam'?" Tucker questioned.
"Well, it was more like 'Saaaammmm', but you get the point." Danny replied. "I wasn't able to get much information out of the alien, because it faded after saying Sam's name."
"You're not blaming me for this, are you?" Sam frowned.
"You have to admit, the evidence is stacked against you," Andy pointed out. "Not only did the monster that was chasing Paulina look like one of those monsters from your favorite movie coming out soon, she also said your name."
"It is pretty odd though." Gatomon frowned. "I was with Sam the whole time, I would know if she somehow learned some kind of black magic or used some kind of experimental ghost powers to summon that alien monster to chase after Paulina."
Takuya put a hand to his chin in thought. "But the question is, how did that monster come to life if Sam is not responsible?"
"What if there's another Sam involved?" Tucker suggested.
"And that Sam is from a dimension where Sam is evil and really wants to get rid of Paulina?" Terriermon added.
Sam gave Tucker and Terriermon a glare that could be considered on par with one from one of the Legendary Warriors. "Is this really the time for a joke?"
"Who's joking?" Terriermon frowned. "We're monsters from another dimension. Is it really that far fetched?"
Sam groaned. "Ugh… Sorry, I'm just stressed because of what is going on right now…"
"How could we know for sure if our Sam isn't somehow involved though?" Dorimon asked, who was back in his In-Training form. "I'm not saying you're involved on purpose or anything, Sam, it's just… ghosts and Digimon have a funny way of using humans to increase their own powers or cause havoc."
Sam blinked before she frowned. "That is true… Poindexter is a good example. He took over Danny's body, and well… that didn't go over so well."
Takuya sighed before he winced at the soreness in his body. "Ugh… I shouldn't have Spirit Evolved to save Paulina… I'm still sore…"
"Would you have rathered she went splat?" Patamon asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No… not at all." Takuya sighed. "It's just… Never mind… I'm in no mood to argue or debate that anymore."
"Maybe you should stay home for a while. I don't know why out of all of us, you're the one sore from our last battle," Andy remarked. "I mean I took a pretty big blow in the last battle and I'm fine."
Takuya sighed. "Maybe I should… I did take a very powerful blow to protect Jazz, even if it was my own attack…"
"Your worst enemy is yourself, as the saying goes." Gatomon nodded.
Sam noticed Danny was frowning about something.
"Danny, is something wrong?" Sam asked. She didn't like the way Danny was frowning.
"It's just… I can't help but worry. If this 'Sam' that alien was talking about is you, then whatever ghost magic or Digimon power brought that alien to life has to do with you. That ghost or Digimon could be stalking you for all we know. I know Gatomon can keep you safe for the most part, but I'd feel better if you wore the Specter Deflector for a while," Danny stated.
Before Sam could even say anything, Danny took out a familiar metallic belt from his backpack and put it around Sam's waist.
"Why did you even have that?" Andy questioned.
"Um… just in case someone, one of you, needed it?" Danny replied uncertainly.
Patamon snickered at Danny's response. He mostly kept it around in case he needed to put it on Andy since he doesn't have ghost powers or can turn into a Digimon himself. Not that he would tell Andy that.
"Danny, I don't need this!" Sam protested. "You know I can handle myself, and Gatomon is always in her Champion form, meaning she can take care of any ghost that tries to use me!"
"Yeah, but we can't take any chances. What if this ghost or Digimon can hide from her senses?" Danny pointed out. "It's not unlikely after all."
"Considering that the ghost or Digimon was able to use you earlier even with Gatomon by your side," Andy added.
"I hate to admit it, but they're right. I didn't sense any ghost or Digimon around you when that alien monster showed up." Gatomon frowned.
Sam groaned. "This can't be happening…" She muttered.
Suddenly, Danny's ghost form came out of his mouth again. And a second after, there was a scream not too far away.
"Oh no… It's Paulina again?!" Dannye exclaimed in shock. He then looked at Sam. "Look, this has to wait. I need to see what's going on." He then stood up. "I'm going ghost!" The white rings appeared around his torso, splitting in half and revealing Danny Phantom again. Danny then looked down at Sam. "Stay here while I do this."
Takuya groaned. "I'm staying put… No more fights for me for a while." He put his head on the table, wanting to just conk out.
"It's fine, Takuya, this monster doesn't feel too strong anyways," Dorimon assured as Danny and Patamon flew away.
"If he thinks I'm staying here, he's got another thing coming!" Sam huffed as she took Danny's backpack and started stomping away from the picnic table.
Gatomon quickly followed after Sam.
"Looks like someone's moody today," Terriermon noted.
Tucker sighed. "Well, I can't say I blame her, given what is going on with these movie monsters and her name being said by them."
Dorimon was poking Takuya's cheek as he laid his head on the table.
"Is that… um… the female version of the Terminator?" Andy asked when he saw Terminatra running after Paulina on the side of the building.
Paulina was on her moped bike, trying to get away from the cyborg, holding out a pink dress that was inside a plastic case to keep it clean.
Takuya looked up, feeling Dorimon poking his cheek. His eyes went wide when he saw the female cyborg. "Um… I think so…" He admitted before he put his head down again. "Ugh… Let me sleep now…"
Terminatra held out her arm, and shot out a red laser at Paulina. The beam narrowly missed the girl, and nicked the plastic case on her dress.
"Knock it out! I just got this back from the cleaners!" Paulina snapped.
"You know…" Tucker began when he saw Terminatra forming a jetpack on her back. "She's pretty hot for a robot girl."
"And yet you already have a girlfriend." Terriermon teased.
"I can still comment on how hot that robot girl is," Tucker pouted before stuffing his mouth with chips.
Dorimon looked at Terminatra. "Too much ghost energy in that one to be tasty…"
Takuya smacked Dorimon lightly before letting his hand fall back at his side. "Please no comments… Trying to sleep here…"
Andy frowned as he felt something was wrong. Images started appearing in his head. He could see Sam arguing about something to Danny, while Danny was standing in the park's fountain. Sam left on her moped. Desiree showed up, laughing, looking bigger and stronger than before. She fired a purple beam at Danny.
Andy gasped as he came out of his vision. He could see Paulina stopping near the park's fountain. No, it can't happen now… right?
Then Danny Phantom phased up from the ground, greeting Paulina. Patamon was on Danny's shoulder. It is… shit.
Andy grabbed Dorimon off the table and started running to the fountain like his life depended on it.
Dorimon yelped as he was pulled away from Takuya. "Andy! What's the hurry?!"
"Future vision, bad end for Danny, must stop it, NOW!" Andy shouted.
Paulina was smiling at Danny Phantom. "The ghost boy! Oooh, he has such an adorable pet with him!"
Patamon blinked.
Danny blinked as well. "Um… thank you?" He said before he shook his head, snapping out of his surprised state. Paulina was in danger! He couldn't focus on anything else at the moment. "Never mind! You're in danger! You need to get to safety!"
Danny fired a ghost ray at the incoming she-Terminator. However, she was smarter than the alien that was sent before her. She 'dodged' Danny's ghost ray by creating a literal hole on her torso, making the ghost ray go through her. Not only that, she shifted her body into a net.
Patamon began to suck in air, if Paulina thought he was a ghost pet, then it shouldn't be weird if he used an attack in front of her. "Boom-"
"Wait!" Paulina spoke up, holding a piece of paper, distracting Patamon enough to make him blow out nothing but air. "Let me give you this! If I invite you, I can un-invite Danny Fenton and his loser friends!"
"What?" Danny was surprised. However, this cost him, as his attention was no longer on Terminatra, and she caught him in her net form. Patamon was knocked away from Danny when he was caught by Terminatra, and went rolling on the ground before coming to a stop.
"Ow…" Patamon groaned.
Danny was knocked into the fountain, and Terminatra, still having Danny in her net, electrocuted him. Terminatra then threw Danny into the water of the fountain.
Paulina frowned, she knew she had to get away while the ghost boy was fighting with that Terminator wanna-be, but he was getting hurt. But it was Invisobill, he could handle himself. Without another second thought, Paulina used her moped bike to flee from the scene. Andy was still running to the fountain, panting.
"Ugh… why's it gotta be far…?" Andy groaned.
Terminatra was standing over Danny, who reverted back to his human form while sitting in the fountain. Her left arm shifted into a more menacing form, and she held it up, her fingers glowing.
Patamon got up and started frantically flying to Danny to try to protect him. Andy was still too far. Thankfully, Sam was on her moped and was coming in quick.
"Leave him alone!" Sam shouted. "Gatomon! Take her!"
Gatomon jumped from Sam's backpack, pulling back her paw. "Lightning Paw!"
Gatomon gave a powerful punch at Terminatra's head, which was enough to knock the robot's head clean off her body and into the water.
Gatomon landed on the outer ring of the fountain and put her paws on her hips before smiling proudly. "The monster cat is stronger than all you monster chicks in the movie~"
Danny looked back at Gatomon before he smiled at the small white cat. "Nice shot, Gatomon." He remarked. Then he realized Sam was right behind Gatomon and groaned. "Not to mention Sam is here… I told her to stay back while I handled this…"
The robot's head was floating on the water's surface. "Sam…"
Then she and her body disappeared in a red mist. Thankfully it wasn't the same mist from Freakshow's crystal ball.
"Are you okay, Danny?" Sam asked as she tried to help the boy out of the fountain.
Unfortunately, Sam forgot about the specter deflector on her waist, and it shocked Danny right back into the water.
"Ow!" Danny hissed.
Patamon frowned as he landed on the outer ring of the fountain. "Are you okay?"
Andy panted as he finally reached the fountain. "... Okay… I'm… here…"
Danny looked back at Andy. "You sure took your time getting here, bro." He said as he stood up again.
"I… can't… fly!" Andy huffed in frustration before he raised up Dorimon like he was going to throw the Digimon, before gently putting him down on the ring of the fountain. "Besides… I can't digivolve… Dorimon… in public…"
Dorimon had looked panicked before Andy had put him down gently. "Please don't hold me up like that again. I was sure you would throw me."
"You could've used your moped like I did," Sam pointed out.
"Hush…" Andy growled. "Besides… there is… another-"
"And Danny, I wouldn't need to catch up with you otherwise if you had just let me come to help in the first place!" Sam interrupted Andy to scold Danny. "If you had just listened to me-"
"I did listen to you, way more than I should!" Danny argued back, not in a good mood after being zapped by the specter deflector. "We should make the menu have only vegan options! We should let the gorilla out. We should sell all your dad's stuff at a garage sale!"
Danny crossed his arms, hoping that he made his point.
"Uh… Danny… that last one was your-" Andy started to point out before he was interrupted again.
"Oh, anything else you want to blame me for? World hunger? Poverty? Puberty?" Sam countered in retaliation.
Gatomon, Patamon, and even Dorimon knew when to avoid a fight, and this was it. The three Digimon quickly got off of the fountain to let Sam and Danny have at it.
"Sam, look, both of those monsters knew your name. I can't help but be concerned about you. How do you know a ghost isn't possessing you when none of us realize it? How do we know a Digimon isn't sapping your lifeforce away bit by bit?" Danny pointed out.
"It's Des-" Andy tried to say, only to get interrupted again.
"How about a 'Thank you' for saving your butt?" Sam retorted. "If not for me and Gatomon, that monster would have taken you out! Is that too much to ask?! Do you think Paulina would have saved your butt if she was in the same position I was in?"
"She would if she wanted me to come to her party!" Danny argued, starting to lose his patience.
"Hey!" Andy spoke up, trying to get their attention. "Sam! Those ghosts were sent by you because of-"
"Ugh! That's it!" Sam snapped, now getting angry at Andy for pointing fingers at her again. "I'm done here. Sometimes I just wish I never met either of you two!"
Andy stared with his eyes wide in horror, and his mouth opened. He stood there in horror as Sam got on her moped, Gatomon quickly jumping into her backpack, before she drove it away.
Dorimon was gaping as well, but not as much as Andy, which was saying something since Dorimon's mouth was pretty much his head and body.
Danny looked down. "Wow…" He then mentally smacked himself. "Way to go, Fenton… You just ticked off one of the only two real friends you have…" He sighed. "I really messed up, didn't I, Patamon…?"
"You don't need me to tell you that, Danny. What you should be asking is 'how can I make it up to her?'" Patamon said. "Well… that and… what's wrong with Andy and Dorimon? They look like they just been jumpscared by some really scary animatronics at Chuckie Cheese's."
Danny looked over, only to see Patamon was right. "Um… Andy? Dorimon? Are you two okay?"
"Danny… if we don't do something now, we're toast," Andy warned.
Suddenly, the entire area shook. Purple bubbles began to form behind them. Danny let out a gasp as his ghost sense went off.
Danny looked back, seeing the bubbles becoming mist that then took the form of Desiree, the wishing ghost. "Desiree?!" Danny exclaimed.
"YES! DESIREE! THE GHOST I WAS TRYING TO WARN YOU AND SAM ABOUT!" Andy shouted, jumping into the water next to Danny before grabbing his shirt and pulled him close to his face. "You two should've listened to me instead of arguing! Listen to the guy who can see into the future when he has a warning! But noooooo, you two had to keep on going!"
Danny looked back at Andy, alarm and a sheepish grin on his face. "Um… Sorry, bro…? But can we talk about this later?"
"Later!?" Andy shouted in his brother's face before shaking him. "There is no later! Didn't you hear what was the last sentence Sam said!?"
Danny felt his face growing pale. "Oh no… That was Sam's wish… wasn't it…?"
"Of course, and I have to say, that's the best wish I've heard in a millennia!" Desiree grinned. "Oh, and in case you boys were wondering why I look more powerful, it's because the more wishes I grant, the more powerful I get. And guess what? We're only days away before the meteor shower, where everybody will be making wishes~ And with you two, and your annoying cousin out of the way, I'll be free to grant all those wishes any way I see fit! And guess what? Your friend just wished she never met you two!"
Danny grew even paler, looking ghost-like as a human. "Oh no… No! This can't be happening!"
Now Danny knew why Andy and Dorimon were so horror-stricken when Sam made that angry wish. They knew she didn't actually mean it, but that didn't matter, she said the words 'I wish' and it was all Desiree needed.
"We're not going to let that happen!" Andy shouted as his D-Arc glowed brightly.
Dorimon jumped, quickly digivolving into Dorumon, but the D-Arc was still glowing. The words appeared on the screen. "DIGIVOLUTION!"
Fractal code surrounded Dorumon. "Dorumon, digivolve to…" He felt the energy of Andy's will fill him. His skin began to peel away from his face and head, then his stomach and his tail was last to lose the skin. But as he regained his skin, his claws and legs came back first, then his wings came back with skin, flaring open to reveal their larger size, his tail swung around once as it regained the skin, and then his head and face were last to regain their skin. "Dorugamon!"
The fractal code dispersed, revealing Dorugamon, who was now glaring at Desiree.
Desiree looked back at Dorugamon. "Then I will start with your little dragon pet!"
Andy took out a card from his pocket. He then held up the device and his card. The card spun before Andy caught it in two fingers, looking up from the shadows. He then held the device over his head, the card slot facing down towards his head. He stuck the card's edge into the slot and dragged it through, the card being pulled towards the right side of his body and the device towards the left side of his body. "Digi-Modify!" Andy called out. He pulled the device and card apart from each other. "Devidramon's Red Eyes, Activate!"
Dorugamon's eyes flashed red, paralyzing Desiree from using any of her wishing magic. With that, Dorugamon quickly got down next to Andy to let the boy climb onto his back.
"Danny! We have to get out of here! You don't have the Fenton Thermos on you, and Deisree is too strong right now. If she hits us, then Sam's wish will come true! We need to get back to our house and activate the Ghost Shield, hurry!" Andy quickly instructed.
Danny nodded. "Okay, let's go!" He transformed into his ghost form before he grabbed Patamon. "Let's get out of here!"
Dorugamon and Danny flew away from Desiree as she broke through the paralyzing effects of the Red Eyes. "Oh no, I'm granting this wish no matter what!"
Desiree flew after the boys, her hands glowing purple. She began to fire her wish magic at them. Andy saw visions of each one coming at them.
"Go left! Then right! Then up!" Andy shouted.
Danny and Dorugamon did as Andy instructed, avoiding each blast of magical energy that came at them, but some by only a few inches. "Whoa!" Dorugamon yelped as he barely ducked under a blast of magical energy. "That one was way too close!"
"What about Tucker and Takuya?" Danny asked as they were flying.
"Don't worry about them right now, Desiree is only focused on us at the moment. We'll call them and tell them to get to safety once we're safe," Andy replied.
We may have to slow her down, at this rate, Desiree is bound to catch one of us with her magic. Andy frowned.
Andy pulled out another card. "Etemon's Dark Network, Activate!"
Dorugamon created dark wires in the sky, throwing them at Desiree. The wires wrapped around the genie ghost, trying to shock her. Desiree hissed before she gave a grin. "Do you really think this would stop me?"
Desiree covered the wires in a puff of purple smoke, and the wires disappeared.
Danny gulped. "Um… what do we do now, bro?" He asked nervously. "It seems like nothing can stop her!"
"Keep going!" Andy responded back.
Desiree suddenly disappeared.
"Uh… where did Desiree go?" Patamon frowned.
Danny gasped as his ghost sense went off, and he turned, only to see the worst thing he could imagine; Desiree was right in front of them. "Andy! Look out! In front of you!"
Dorugamon let out a yelp as he flapped his wings harshly to stop. Danny let go of Patamon before he pushed Dorugamon away just as Desiree fired her purple wish magic. Patamon gasped, seeing his partner engulfed in purple. Danny let out a scream as he fell.
"DANNY!" Andy shouted for his brother.
Desiree was laughing as Danny Phantom fell and landed on the ground.
Patamon suddenly felt weaker, something was wrong with Danny. Danny transformed back into a human while he was unconscious. Patamon then fell himself, landing on top of Danny. His fractal code started showing.
"Patamon! What's wrong?" Dorugamon asked in concern.
"You! What did you do to Danny!?" Andy demanded Desiree.
"Why, I simply made it so he never met your black-wearing friend~" Desiree purred. "And now it's your turn!" She aimed her hand and fired off purple magic energy at Andy and Dorugamon as well.
Andy used his Fenton Rod to bat the magic away into the sky. His hand gripped tightly on the rod. "Maybe we can't escape our fate from this wish after all… But damn us if we don't give you hell before then."
Desiree grinned. "It's been a while since someone resisted the effects of a wish, this should be interesting, not to mention fun."
Desiree fired another blast at them. Dorugamon flew up, dodging it. He fired a Cannonball at Desiree. She used her magic to turn the giant cannonball into birds. However, when she was about to attack again, she didn't see Dorugamon.
Dorugamon circled around and got in close to her. He slashed Desiree's side with his sharp claws just before Andy hit her in the stomach with the Fenton Rod, electrocuting her body a bit.
"You little…" Desiree hissed in pain before she turned intangible so the next blow would pass through her.
"Dorugamon, it's time to disappear," Andy instructed calmly.
Dorugamon didn't verbally answer back, he knew what Andy wanted. He flew up into the sky, going into the clouds.
Desiree reappeared to her tangible state, wondering where Andy and Dorugamon had gone. "Where are you~?" Desiree asked in a taunting tone.
Suddenly, giant iron balls were being shot towards her. Desiree quickly used her power to make it disappear, but another one was shot at her quickly, she made that one disappear, but there was another one, and another one. Each one was faster than the last one, making it difficult for Desiree to keep up.
"This kid…" Desiree muttered before she grinned again. "Now this is what I have wanted to see for a long time! It's been millennia since someone resisted my wish's effects to this extent!"
There was a loud whistling sound that was coming at her. Desiree turned to where she was hearing the whistling sound from and prepared to defend or counterattack. She could see the shadows of the dragon fox coming at her.
However, Desiree didn't notice another was falling from behind her. She didn't notice it until he was right up on her.
"Surprise!" Andy shouted before swinging his Fenton Rod right at her face.
This was enough to cause Desiree to fall back several feet just as Dorugamon flew under Andy to catch him.
"You little brat!" Desiree hissed out as Andy and Dorugamon flew away from her.
Dorugamon grinned at Andy. "That was awesome, Andy!" He exclaimed.
"It's not over yet, watch out for her teleportation," Andy warned.
Andy was glad he warned Dorugamon, because Desiree did teleport in front of them to try to catch them off guard. However, Dorugamon wasn't having it. He opened his mouth and bit down on her hand before she could fire her magic.
"Let go!" Desiree demanded, feeling her hand oozing ectoplasm from Dorugamon's bite.
Andy smirked as he swung his Fenton Rod. "This is for Danny and Patamon!"
Andy smashed the rod into Desree's stomach, electrocuting her even more before Dorugamon let go of her hand.
Desiree hissed in pain at the electrocution she suffered, but she didn't move away from them; this made Dorugamon wary as he watched her carefully.
Takuya was stumbling towards the area. He had sensed something was wrong, and he felt like he needed to be there. He heard a loud noise, and looked up at the sky, seeing Andy on Dorugamon fighting with Desiree, who looked and felt a lot stronger.
"Oh no…" Takuya murmured as he saw Desiree. "Not that ghost again…" Looking around for Danny, Takuya finally saw his cousin on the ground, as a human, with Patamon on top of him, his fractal code showing. "Oh no…! Danny!" Takuya exclaimed as he made to run for Danny's still form.
Desiree looked down, seeing another boy with Danny. Then she got an idea. She teleported again. Andy and Dorugamon flew forward, getting ready to attack.
Takuya was suddenly pushed away by Desiree when she suddenly appeared. She picked up the fallen Danny and Patamon before she flew back up to Andy and Dorugamon. Andy and Dorugamon had been about to attack, when Desiree showed Danny and Patamon in front of her. This made Dorugamon stop, and Andy frowned as he put down his Fenton Rod, unable to strike through his brother.
Desiree sneered before she fired her magic at Andy and Dorugamon, striking them both head on.
Andy and Dorugamon both screamed as they were engulfed by the purple magic. Takuya gasped seeing this happening before his eyes. Dorugamon hissed as he opened his eyes. I… I can't let it end this way… I'm… sorry for this… Andy…
Dorugamon's body turned into nothing but fractal code. The fractal code surrounded Andy, almost cocooning him. Andy let out a cry, and saw Dorugamon's spiritual face smiling at him.
"Dorugamon…" Andy hissed out, holding out his hand to his partner before his spiritual face faded away.
The code surrounded Andy as Dorugamon's presence became nothing more than a Digi-Egg, the same one Andy had first hatched. Andy cried out as he managed to grab onto the Digi-Egg and held it close to his chest, refusing to let it go, even after he hit the ground.
Takuya watched this in horror. "ANDY!" He cried as he got back to his feet and ran to his cousin's side. He gasped when he saw Andy holding onto Dorugamon's Digi-Egg. "No… Dorugamon…" Takuya murmured. He then felt anger fill his body; it was his Spirits. He glanced up at Desiree, his eyes holding that feral look again as he glared at her. "You… damn ghost!" He shouted up at her.
Desiree grinned at the boy before she shot out another purple ray of magic at Takuya. Takuya gasped and shut his eyes as he was engulfed by the purple magic. The last thing he heard was Desiree laughing before everything went black.
