Early the next morning Jane wakes and smells coffee. No good self respecting cop starts the day without coffee.

"Good morning Detective Rizzoli. How did you sleep?"

"Fine Noah. Thank you for asking. That is very nice of you."

"So, you're a Detective like my mom? I haven't seen you before, are you new?"

"No. I live in Boston. Your mom and her great Detective team are going to help me find my best friend. She's here in NY somewhere, but we don't know where."

"I'm sorry. I was taken by someone once. My mom found me. It felt good when my mom found me. She'll help find your friend too."

"Noah, are your bothering Detective Rizzoli?"

"No mom. We're just talking. I told her you found me when I was taken and you'll find her friend too."

"Okay, Noah. Go brush your teeth. We need to leave soon."

"Jane, I'm sorry if he bothered you."

"Not at all Olivia. He's a good kid."

"Thank you. We've had a rocky road. He's adopted. His biological grandmother kidnapped him at one point. I was frantic. Do you have kids Jane?"

"No. I don't. I can't imagine how I'd be handling this if this was my child. It's bad enough that it's my best friend."

Olivia gives Jane a hug. They both understand how hard this can be since they have been in similar situations.

Next steps, dropping off Noah and then heading to the Precinct. Jane is going to brief Olivia's team. She has to check in with Korsack and see if there are any new messages from Hoyt.

They walk into SVU. Finn has set up boards to follow the evidence on. He has notebooks out for everyone.

He had filled in Rollins and Tamin.

"Good morning Captain", Kat Tamin greets Olivia.

"Good morning guys. This is Detective Jane Rizzoli, Boston Homicide."

Amanda Rollins and Kat Tamin introduce themselves to Jane.

When Kat shakes Jane's hand she notices the scars. Jane sees that her eyes are focusing on her hands.

"He did this to me years ago, when he abducted me. He's the only person to ever get to me, he almost broke me. Almost. A couple of years ago I shot his hands, I told him we matched. This is the guy that has Dr. Isles. He can't do this, or worse, to her."

Jane asks for a computer. Finn sets her up with one that will project to the big screen in the room. She pulls up the case files. The next thing she needs to do is check in with Korsack and Nina.

Nina is an expert in BRIC. Maybe she can find some extra clues in the message from Hoyt this time.

"Okay guys. Let's get started. This is Charles Hoyt. Pictures thru the years. The various mugshots. These are his various accomplices, at least the ones we knew about."

"How did he get the scar on his eye?"

"Rollins, I did that. That was the second time he took me. I was in the back of a van. Hands and feet tied. I was able to get a road flare. I started it then layed on it. When he saw the smoke billowing out beneath me he turned me over and I hit him in the face with it. I then got out of the van. He dropped my gun. I kicked it away from him. I was able to pick it up and that's when I shot his hands. I gave him two permanent reminders not to fuck with Jane Rizzoli."

"Detective Jane Rizzoli, badass. We'd be happy to take you if you ever want to leave Boston."

"Thanks Rollins. I appreciate that."

The phone rings, it's Korsack. Finn puts him on speaker.

"Hey Korsack. Anything new? I'm here with Captain Benson, Sgt.Tutuola, Detectives Rollins and Tamin."

"Nothing yet. Just the initial message. We should be getting something soon. We have your phone routing thru here too. Frankie made sure your mom has the number to your other phone right now, so you should only get BPD calls on your phone."

"Thanks Vince. You know this is killing me, right?"

"I know Jane. Between our team and the team there, we'll find her. The SVU team that Benson has there is pretty solid".

"Thanks Korsack. I've been here 21 years. Tutuola has been here 20 years. Rollins 8 years. Tamin is on her 2nd full year with SVU, but she isn't a new Detective."

"Okay Nina, play the message we got."

"Hi Jane. I know you've missed me. I know that I've missed you. I couldn't get you so I took something precious to you. I have the fine doctor. Now, don't take too much time and don't drop the ball chasing your tail. We'll talk soon."

"Okay Jane. That's it. I've messed with the audio levels trying to find external noise. I can't find anything. Hoyt is good at this."

"Too good Nina, thanks. Now, this is why I think he's in NY. He told me not to take too much time and not to drop the ball. That means Times Square. I just don't know where. Are there any empty store fronts there? Any with a history of having a Chase bank? I'm thinking chase my tail might be another clue."

"Rollins, get on that. Check the most recent vacancies in Times Square. Find out the last tenant and how long they were there. Who the contact person was, etc.."

"Finn, I'm on it."

"Kat, when she gets you a name, run it. Also check all of the associates that Detective Rizzoli has that are connected to Hoyt."

"Detective Rizzoli, can I see that list? I'm assuming it's updated with those that are dead. Also, do you have the names of their cell mates. Maybe they know something. I know you told us that Hoyt was in solitary, do you know if any of these guys were too?"

"Good thinking Kat. Thank you. Captain Benson has told me how good this team is. She's right. You guys are sharp."

Rollins finds 15 empty store fronts. She's going thru the records to find the most recent tenants.

Kat has run the names of Hoyt's associates. She's checking to see if any have ties to NY.

Neither Rollins nor Kat can find any ties to Hoyt. Jane knows that there has to be a tie somewhere. She calls Nina to go thru Hoyt's military records to see if there are ties to NY and to see if any of them have had any recent contact with Hoyt.

Jane and Olivia go to Times Square to see if they can find anything. They are both seasoned detectives, they both go on instinct and guts.

Jane hopes she will spot Hoyt venturing out to get food or something. She knows he's too smart for that. He has an underling to do all of that for him. There is no way he'd risk getting caught doing that for himself.

The two detectives find a couple of store fronts that are of interest. One thing they are doing that can't be done on the computer. They look at the lines left behind when the lighted signs are removed. They look at the windows and doors for decals and things left behind. The message from Hoyt mentioned 'chase', maybe it's not a bank.

"Hey, Jane, didn't he say 'chasing your tail'? Could it be a pet store or pet supply store?"

"Great thought Olivia. Let's see what we can find on these left behind signs."
