They get back to the Precinct. Jane has had enough. She is in interrogation with Finn. Olivia is observing on the other side of the glass. Jane is walking around the back of the suspect. She is pissed. She finally slams her hand down on the table, staring the man, speaking quietly, but forcefully, "Where is he. Where is Hoyt? Don't think about lying to me. You don't know how pissed I am right now. Where is he?"

He looked at Finn. Finn looked at him and directed his eyes at Rizzoli. The guy knew Rizzoli was in charge on this one.

His voice shaking, "I don't know who Hoyt is. Some guy grabbed me in Times Square and paid me $100 bucks to drop this in front of you."

Jane, in her husky voice looks at the guy, "Go on."

"He showed me your picture. Told me to go to Ground Zero and wait. That's all I know."

"When did he give you the money and when did you get to Ground Zero?"

"It was about 10 o'clock this morning and then about noon. I only knew it was noon because of the church bells I heard ringing."

"And did this guy look like? White? Black? Tall? Dark hair? Tattoos? Accent? I need details."

"Okay. Okay. He was about 6 feet tall. White guy. He was wearing a hoodie. I didn't see any tattoos. He didn't have an accent. He did have a scar on his face."

"What kind of scar did he have?"

"It was near his eye. It looked like his skin was melted."

Jane looks at the glass and nods to Olivia. That's Hoyt.

"So, do you have the money he gave you?"

"Detective, I need that money. Please don't take it. "

"Sir, I'll tell you what. I'll give you a hundred dollars from my pocket if you give me that one that you have, okay?"

She takes money out of her pocket and asks the man to put the table. He puts the money she gives him in her pocket. She picks up the $100 bill off the table by the corner, careful not to touch to much of the money. She excuses herself from the room. Finn stays with the guy.

Olivia is out in the hall. Rollins walks up with an evidence bag and the bill goes in it.

Jane asks to look at the bill closer.

"Damn it. There is a freaking message on here. He knew we'd catch this guy. I told you he was good."

Jane hands it to Olivia and walks away for a bit. She leans against the wall and starts to tear up.

"Jane, we're getting closer. We will get Hoyt. I think we're in agreement, this guy is just the messenger. What do you want to do with him?".

"Get him some food and let him sit. I don't want to let him go until we have Hoyt, or he'll be dead too. Take care of this guy. I'll pay for it."

"Rollins, see what our guest wants to eat. Let him know he's not arrested but he's going to hang out with us for a while. Let him know we're concerned and want to keep him safe."

Olivia and Jane go to Olivia's office.

"Jane, talk to me. What else is going on with this? I know that Hoyt has been taunting you, threatening you and hurting you for years. I know that Maura is your best friend.

You're handling this well, and then you're not. I know this is personal. You're reputation as a detective is impeccable. You're great at your job. I'm confident that we'll find Maura safe. You can talk to me. What we talk about in here, stays here."

Jane is crying but trying to stay strong. She gives a very heavy sigh.

"Maura and I share everything. She's become part of my family. But this is bigger than that. Over the years we've been thru a lot and well, I've fallen in love with her. I've never told her. I've never told anyone. I don't know how she feels. Hell, I've never dated a woman before. I'm sorry Olivia. This probably isn't what you were expecting to hear."

"Jane, don't worry about it. I told you that what you say stays here. I don't care if you're looking for your best friend, your girlfriend, the Chief Medical Examiner or a stranger. You're doing your job. You're doing what you do best. Do you think Hoyt knows and that's why he took Maura?"

"I doubt it. Maura is important to me, no matter the status. He knew he could get to me thru her.

And, thanks for the support. Just help me find her."

"Okay, we'll put some officers at Ground Zero tonight. Hoyt probably saw Finn and Cat today so we need to put them out of sight. He didn't see me or Rollins. Do you think he will look for you as bait?"

"Yeah, he likes that. He wants me."

"We'll all be there. We'll all be ready."

"Ok, he may want to take me to Maura. If we catch him and try to find her I don't think that'll work. He needs to take me. You guys need to follow. I've got a GPS chip I can put on my shoe. We need to find a way to wire me where it's not easy for Hoyt to find. That is the only way to get Maura and Hoyt."

"Jane, let's check in with Korsack and see what he's got and tell him what we have."

"Hey, Jane, it's Nina. I've got Korsack, Frankie and Frost here. What have you found?"

"We got a vagrant that Hoyt paid $100 to drop a burned out flare at my feet. I'm having the bill printed now. The message wasn't written in blood. There was another message on the bill. It just had Maura's name on it. The letters spelling out her name were circled. We're setting up a sting at Ground Zero tonight. I've got a GPS on my shoe. I'm looking for a good wire that Hoyt won't find."

Frankie jumps in, "Janie, you aren't using yourself as bait are you? You can't do that!"

"Frankie, I have to. I have to get Maura back. Hoyt wants me. Olivia's team is all over this. We'll get Maura, we'll get Hoyt and I'll be fine. Trust me. And don't tell Ma."

"Janie, I don't like it, but I trust you. If you get hurt, I'll kick your ass."

"Yeah, okay Frankie. All you've ever done to me is break my nose."

"Hey everyone, this is Captain Benson. We can give you guys the audio feed and the GPS feed too. That way you know what we know in real time. Will that help?"

"Captain Benson, this is Detective Frost. Yes, that would be great. Get your tech crew in touch with me and we'll set it up."

"Detective Frost, I will. We have four hours to get this in place. I'll also see about getting a warrant to stream the public cameras that are at Ground Zero."

The warrant comes thru. BPD has the feed. Jane has a GPS chip in her shoe. It can't be detected. One of the audio wires is in Jane's belt buckle and the other is in her jacket pocket, sewn into the inner lining. If Hoyt finds one, chances are he won't look for the other. The only thing that they won't have is a video feed after they leave Ground Zero.
