Everyone is in place at Ground Zero. Finn is a vagrant just on the outside of the perimeter. Olivia is on the opposite side of Jane. Rollins is only about 25 feet from Jane. Kat is on the perimeter. Various officers are scattered. ADA Carisi shows up. He's been briefed. He looks like he will just blend in with the public. This entire operation is risky. Olivia is pretty sure they will pull this off. Jane is confident. She's been good luring Hoyt in the past.
It's just after dark. The lights come on. Lights are coming on all around them. She sees Maura. She can't get to her. She's encased in either glass or lucite or something. There are lights around her making her glow, just like Hoyt said. She's not conscious. Jane gets up and runs to where she is. Hoyt jumps out and grabs her, knife to her throat.
"Jane. You found me. You came for me. I knew you would."
"Hoyt, don't do this. Let her go. Let Maura go. Please."
"Why? Not much longer and she runs out of air. She'll slowly suffocate. Maybe I'll keep you here so you can watch her die."
"Hoyt, I know you want me, not her. Just let her go. You can take me. Let Maura live. You've wanted to kill me for a long time. Here is your chance."
Olivia and her crew have managed to get the general public out of the area. They know that just shooting Hoyt would be the best way to end this. They can't get a good shot without endangering Jane.
Carisi sees his opportunity. This has worked for him in the past. He stumbles by Jane and Hoyt. Jane thinks he's just a guy, doesn't know that he's part of the operation. Carisi bumps into Hoyt, catching him just a little off balance, but is able to stick him in the neck with a tranquilizer. He drops the knife. Jane spins and pulls her gun on both Hoyt and Carisi. Carisi cuffs Hoyt and introduces himself to Jane.
Olivia, Finn, Kat and Rollins go to Maura. They are trying to find the right way to get her out of the glass tomb he has her in. He has it wired. This is going to be tricky. They know they have less than an hour, based on what Hoyt told them about the air.
Jane runs over to Maura. She wants to hit the glass. She wants to see Maura's eyes. Olivia has already called the bomb squad since they don't know how this thing is wired or what may happen.
Jane is going out of her mind. She keeps checking on Hoyt to see if he's regained consciousness. She wants to know how to get into this glass tomb. She has to get Maura out.
Everyone at BPD is watching this and they can hear everything. They are just as anxious as Jane.
Jane goes back to the tomb. Only Olivia is there. She starts talking to Maura. She forgets that she's wired.
"Maur, we're going to get you out of there. We have to. I have to tell you how much I love you. I fell in love with you a long time ago. I don't want to go on without you. I don't know if you feel the same. I don't care. If we just remains best friends I'm fine with that. I just want you in my life."
Olivia pats Jane on the shoulder. Jane stands up, crying. Olivia gives her a hug.
Everyone at BPD has just heard Jane's inner most thoughts. They don't know what to think. They all just kind of look at each other. It doesn't matter. They all love Jane. They all love Maura.
The bomb squad shows up. They have about 20 minutes to figure this out and rescue Maura.
The bomb squad has determined that it's not a bomb it's just wire and light. There are 10 more minutes to get her out. They start with a glass cutter giving her some breathing holes. They work at finding the best way to disassemble this box. Maura is still unconscious.
FBI Agent, Gabriel Dean shows up. He always shows up when Hoyt is involved. He finds Jane. He hugs her and sees what is going on.
Everyone at BPD are wondering what's going to happen now. Dean. Jane. Maura.
Jane introduces Agent Dean to Olivia. Hoyt finally did it this time. Kidnapping, crossing statelines.
Jane directs him to Hoyt. He's being held by Carisi and Finn.
Jane is beside herself. She knows Maura has air, but she's not free yet. One of the rescue workers yell that they have a pulse. That's the first positive they've had.
Olivia puts her arm around Jane.
"That's good. Now we know she's definitely alive. This will be okay, Jane.
"Olivia, I meant what I said, I don't want to go on without her."
The rescue workers finally remove the top and lift Maura out. Jane rushes over and takes Maura out of the workers arms. She carries her to the ambulance. She isn't letting go.
They load the two into the ambulance. Olivia follows them. They rest go to the Precinct to work on processing Hoyt and paperwork.
