Jane gathers some things quickly. A few t-shirts, jeans, shorts, tank tops. Nothing much, since she's going to be at Maura's all week and not work. She hurries back down to the car. "Miss me?".

Maura laughs a little, "You weren't gone long, but yes, I did. You, Jane Rizzoli, are very sweet."

They head to Maura's house. It's a nice spring day in Boston. It's good to be home, it's good to be together.

They pull up in front of Maura's Beacon Hill home. Jane gets the wheelchair out of the trunk and helps Maura into it. She unlocks the front door and they go inside. Angela is there. She's cooking up a storm. She runs over to the two women, "Janie, you're home! Maura, oh my goodness, you look better than I was expecting. I'm so glad they found you. I was so worried. I'm glad you're home safe. How are you feeling?"

"Angela, I'm good. Jane is already taking good care of me. She's arranged to stay here with me while I recuperate. Whatever you're cooking, it smells marvelous."

"So, Maura. Janie tells me that she professed her love for you, while you were unconscious."

"Yes, Angela. She did. Are you okay with that?"

"Maura, you are another daughter to me. I want all my children to be happy. If the two of you make each other happy, then I'm very supportive. Besides, I've seen the way you look at each other."

"Ma, when I talked to you on the

phone you didn't tell me that."

"No, Jane, I didn't. You guys look like high school kids in love. I used to look at your father that way."

Jane leans down and kisses Maura on the forehead. "I love you, sweetheart."

"I love you too, babe."

Jane goes out and gets the luggage out of the car. While she goes out there Angela fills her in on some of the accommodations she's made to make things easier while she's in multiple casts.

"You really do love Jane, don't you?"

"Angela, I've been in love with Jane for a long time. I've had to stop myself more than once from telling her I love her. She's a wonderful woman. She's smart, caring, considerate, protective, funny and she's beautiful. I'm extremely lucky to even know her, let alone being loved by her."

"Maura, Jane told me that she's loved you for years. I want to see you two happy... and besides, I've always wanted a doctor in the family", Angela says laughing.

"Angela, don't get ahead of yourself. We just decided today to start a relationship with one another. I know that I don't want to date anyone else. I only want to be with Jane. I don't know how she feels though."

Jane had walked back in just in time to hear the end of that conversation. "Maura, I don't want to date anyone else either. I just want to be with you too."

"Awww... look at you two. You're so cute."

"Maaaaaa...come on."

Maura laughs, "Jane, it's cute. Cut her some slack."

"Fine. Sorry Ma. I love you." Jane gives Angela a kiss on the cheek. Angela tells them to get some rest. She figures that being back home will do them some good.

Jane knows her mother well enough to know that she's planned a small party for tonight. She gives her a hug a quietly asks, 'what time'? "8 o'clock. Get some rest."

Jane wheels Maura to her bedroom. She helps her out of the wheelchair and into bed. "Jane, will you lay with me? I know that nothing is going to happen to me right now, but I want to feel you next to me. I want to feel safe."

"Of course I will."

Jane gets Maura's shoe off of her good foot and she takes her own off. She gets a blanket out of the closet and covers Maura. She lies down next to Maura. Jane pats her shoulder, Maura puts her head on Jane's shoulder and her casted arm across Jane's chest. Jane kisses the top of Maura's head and holds her close. The two women drift off to sleep in each other's arms. The first time of what will be many nights.

Angela quietly wakes the women up at 7:30. They got a couple of hours of sleep. "You two looked so sweet sleeping there."

"Okay ma, we get it. You support our relationship."

"Janie, I just want you happy. And the two of you looked adorable."

Angela heads back to the kitchen to finish cooking.

"Okay, Maura, I'm sure you figured out that Ma has arranged a party. Everyone will be here in about a half an hour. What can I do to help you get ready? I'm sure it's just the usual suspects, Frankie, Korsack, Frost, Nina, Tommy and Susie, so you don't have to get too done up. We can keep it casual."

"I figured there would be something. Just help me into this chair. I think I can brush my own hair. I might need you to help me with my make up a little."

"Of course Maura, I'm here for whatever your need, but I need something first."

"Of course Jane. What do you need?"

"I need a kiss from my beautiful, wonderful girlfriend. Do you know where she is?"

Maura smiles at Jane and pats her finger on her lips..."She's right here."

The two women share a passionate kiss. They would rather see where this goes than to party with their friends, but their friends deserve to see them. Alive and happy, mostly, to see Maura alive.

Jane helps get Maura ready for everyone, even though Jane thinks Maura doesn't need make up or anything to make herself look good. She cleans herself up a little too.

They go out to the living room just as the gang shows up. All of them at once. There are lots of hugs for everyone. Angela offers everyone a glass of champagne to celebrate Maura's safe return.

Right after that Jane decides to take matters into her own hands and asks for the floor.

"So, while I was working on finding and saving Dr. Isles, I was wearing a wire. All of the NYPD SVU squad was listening as were you guys in BPD Homicide. I think the only ones that didn't hear the conversation was Ma, Tommy and Susie. So, since everyone is here I'll address what was said. When Maura was found, she was unconscious and entombed in glass. I needed professional help to get her out. I was so relieved that I found her I got beside the glass box and was pleading with her to hang on. I also told her that I was in love with her and have been in love with her for a very long time. I told her that I needed her in my life."

Tommy smiled and low fived Frankie. Susie smiled and quietly clapped excitedly.

Jane continued, "After Maura was taken to the hospital and was still unconscious I held her hand and told her again that I was in love with her. Shortly after that I fell asleep with my head on her bed. I awoke to her telling me that she loved me too. So, over the last few days Maura and I have decided that we are going to pursue a more personal relationship with each other. We are going to exclusively see one another. I called Ma from NY and told her prior to our return. I'm going to stay here and help take care of Maura while she is recuperating. So, now you all know. From Tommy and Susie's reaction, I assume that you already figured out that there was an attraction there. Ma wasn't terribly surprised either. Maura, do you have anything to add to this?"

"No, Jane, I think you've covered everything. The only thing you didn't tell them was that you think I'm hot."

Jane is blushing and says thru her teeth, "Maura..."

"Well, it's true. You told me so."

Jane laughs, "Yes, I did say that. Oh and let's not forget that you said I make you melt."

"Touchè Jane, touchè."

"Maur, I love you."

Everyone, in unison, gives an "Awwwwww..."

Angela announced that dinner is ready. She's got salad, lasagne, lobster risotto, gnocchi, cannoli and zeppole. Maura's favorite is the risotto and Jane's is the cannoli. Everyone loves the zeppole.

Jane fixes Maura's plate for her. With the meds that Maura is on she shouldn't be drinking, but a single glass of wine won't hurt.

Everyone loves the dinner. Angela is one hell of a cook. Laughs, stories and memories are being shared amongst the guests.

After dinner they turn on some music and just hang out. Jane and Maura spend most of the night holding hands and just being together.
