Korsack turns the game on. Everyone finds a seat. If the Bruins win this game, they win the series. Then they go on to meet the Washington Capitals. Maura is sitting next to Jane so that she can ask more questions. Jane even got out the dry erase board to help.

Everyone is still eating too. "Jane, everyone loves the food. You are my little grill master."

"Maur, really? All I did was cook some meat. And it was only burgers and dogs. It wasn't that complicated. I did enjoy it and I had a good time. It's just the beginning of summer. Maybe we can do something regular with the group for cookouts."

"I'd like that. I love this cop family that I've been inducted into."

"Maur, I'm very glad that you're part of this cop family. And my crazy Italian family."

"There is nothing I want more, now that I have you."

"So, I was the big prize?"

"Jane, to me you are. I love you."

"I love you too, Maur."

Everyone is yelling at the TV. Maura and Jane look up just in time to see

Trent Frederic score an unassisted goal.

"Oh, Jane. He went five hole on that goal, right?"

"Yes, baby he did. Right between his legs."

Tommy hears the exchange between Jane and Maura. He catches Jane's eye and gives her a wink and a thumbs up.

Jane loves that her family loves Maura. Jane really loves Maura. The days since finding her and saving her, the feelings are deeper than she ever expected them to be. She knows that Maura loves her. Jane can't picture a life without Maura. Thinking of the future scares her too. She and Maura have known each other for about three years. They've been close for most of those years. She loves that they are spending so much time together right now. She loves that they are sharing movies with each other. She loves that Maura wants to learn more about sports. Jane has never been happier.

"Oh, Jane, Chara hit that guy and then another. I think he's going to get a 5 minute major. The other guy is going to get 2 minutes. Then the Tampa guy is going to get 2 minutes. Just wait. I know I'm right."

"How do you know that?"

"Well, Charra hit that guy in the jaw, without a glove and layed him out. Then his teammate hit another Tampa player so he's going to get a fighting penalty and the Tampa player is going to get a fighting penalty too."

"The referee annouces, Boston #33, 5 minute major - fighting, Boston #73, 2 minutes for fighting, Tampa #14, fighting."

"See. I've been paying attention. That means Tampa has a 5 minute power play. Our defense needs to keep them out of our end."

"Damn, Maura. Great job", Jane hugs and kisses her girlfriend. "Do you know how much I love you?"

"If it's half as much as I love you, then it's enough to last us a lifetime", she looks at Jane and pulls her hand so that it rests on her shoulder. She loves to feel Jane's touch. It's comforting.

The 1st period ends and Boston is up 1-0. Maura tells everyone that there is plenty of food left. Angela and Jane go around and collect plates for those that don't want more.

Tommy grabs a glass of water, stands and asks everyone to pick up a glass. He proposes a toast to Maura and Jane. "Here is to two wonderful people that we all love, who have invited us into their home, well, Maura's home, for a great evening. To my big sister Jane, for risking her life to save the woman she loves. Janie, Maura, I speak for everyone, we all love you. Thank you for everything."

Everyone joins in, "To Maura and Jane."

"Oh, Tommy. That was lovely. I'm honored to be a part of your family."

"Tommy. Thank you little brother. I love you too."

Frost announces that the 2nd period is about to start. Maura is excited. She's really starting to like this game.

Jane excuses herself and does her best to catch Frankie's eye. He sees and excuses himself too. They each grab another beer and Jane leads them outside. They sit at a table on the deck.

"What's up Jane?"

"I don't know what I'm feeling."

"What do you mean?"

"I love Maura with every part of my body. I don't want a life without her. I know that we'll always be friends, but I want more. We have that now. I never want that to end. We just started dating but I've loved this woman for as long as I've known her."

"Janie, what are you saying? I don't understand. She loves you as much as you love her."

Frost comes outside. "What's up guys?"

"Well, Jane loves Maura. Maura loves Jane. Jane doesn't want a life without Maura. So, I don't know what the problem is. That's as far as we've gotten."

"Yes, Frankie, thank you. Now Frost, you're up to speed."

Frost really hasn't had a chance to talk to Jane too much. He takes this opportunity to ask his own questions.

"So, Jane, are you wanting more of a commitment than the one you already have? You two do have a commitment with each other right?"

"Yeah, we have a commitment to only date each other. We agreed on that quickly."

"Ok, so, then what do you want from Maura? Or do you want someone else?"

"Frost, no, it's always been Maura. She is the only one I have ever really loved. I didn't really know what love felt like until it thought I was going to lose her."

"So, Janie, what is your next step?"

"There is only one step, little brother, but it's too soon to take it."

"Yes, it is, but you plan on taking it?"

"Yes, eventually."

"I told you Frankie. You owe me $20."

"You bet on me?"

"Well, when we heard your love confession over the NYPD wire, we all kind of discussed it", Frost admits. Frankie just shrugs. They hear cheering from inside so they ask head back in, and Frankie hands Frost $20.

Jane walks over to Maura and refills her wine glass. "Where did you go baby?"

"I was out on the deck talking to Frankie and Frost. So, who scored?"

"Bergeron. We're up 2-0. You know, I'm really getting into this. Hockey is fun, Jane. You played hockey. You were an attacker. There isn't an attacker here. Why is that?"

"I played field hockey. There are more players on the field than on the ice. It's closest equivalent would be a center or one of the wings."

"Oh, so you were really important, like Bergeron?"

"Kinda like that, yes."

Maura just smiles and looks into Jane's eyes. Jane gently touches Maura's face, places a finger under her chin and slightly lifts her chin. She kisses Maura's lips. Maura lightly bites Jane's bottom lip. Jane wishes they had no guests. She gets her back by licking Maura's top lip. Now Maura wishes they had no guests. Maura reaches around and grabs Jane's ass with her good hand. Then she pulls away from the kiss with a smile and a wink. They don't think anyone saw them, but if they did, neither woman really cares.

They look at the TV just in time to see Stamkos score for Tampa. Just as the 2nd period ends.

Angela brings out dessert for everyone and refills drinks. Maura and Jane agree, this has been a great night... and it's not over.
