Maura jerks awake, startled. It wakes Jane. "Maur, you okay?"

"I will be. Just a dream", Maura answers, but not very confidently.

Jane wraps her arm around the beautiful woman beside her. "Talk to me babe. What happened, in your dream?"

Maura settles into Jane's arms. It's a comfort she's never felt before. "It was Hoyt. He had me tied to the chair in that store in NY. We were there for almost 2 days before he moved me. I remember hearing him talking to someone that you were on the way. He told them that they needed to find a new place for me."

"Maur, those are details you never told me before. Do you think he was talking to Sophia Castillo?"

"I don't know. He had me drugged, remember, and I was in pain. I was in and out of consciousness. I really don't know who he was talking to."

"Okay baby. You're safe with me now, okay?" Jane picks up her phone to check the time. "Sweetheart, it's 4am. We can sleep for a few more hours before we need to get up."

"Just hold me, Jane. I always feel safe in your arms."

Jane pulls Maura closer to her and wraps her arms around her. She places soft kisses on Maura's back until she knows that she's gone back to sleep. Jane knows that this is just the beginning of the next chapter in the Charles Hoyt story. She wishes that she'd killed him, but she also wants to him waste away and suffer. Her hands start hurting. She knows that it's psychosomatic, she thinks about hurting Hoyt and she hurts from the pain he inflicted upon her. Jane finally falls back asleep.

Before the alarm goes off Jane feels Maura touching her. That's one way to wake up with a smile, she thinks. "Good morning, beautiful", she whispers into the doctor's ear.

"Good morning, detective. I know we have a long, busy day ahead of us, but..."

Before she can finish her sentence Jane runs her hand down Maura's front. Feeling her soft skin. Feeling her body react to Jane's fingertips running up and down her torso. Jane gently places her lips on Maura's lips. Maura's body shivers a bit when their lips touch. Jane wants Maura to experience the ecstasy that she did last night. She breaks the kiss and looks into Maura's eyes as her fingers find their way down Maura's body. Maura gasps in pleasure as Jane touches her at her core. Maura moves her body to meet with every movement of Jane's fingers. Their eyes have not lost contact with one another. The intimate connection they have right now is intense. This moment is the closest they've ever been. Both women continue to move with one another until Maura explodes. It takes a moment for her mind to catch up to her body as she goes limp.

"Jane Rizzoli, why? Why did I not tell you years ago that I loved you?"

Jane just smiles at her, "Maybe so you could enjoy the build up of this moment."

"Well, it was certainly worth the wait. Damn. Well worth the wait."

Jane can't help herself, and laughs at Maura. "Umm... at a loss for words there, Doc?"

Maura, in her usual way, "Whatever do you mean?" Then she smiles at Jane and shows her that sparkle in her eye.

"Dr. Maura Isles, I'm in love with you. So in love with you."

"I'm in love with you too, Jane."

"As much as I want to stay in bed with you all day, we can't. You have an appointment in a little while. I have to get us packed and we both need to shower. I know I need to help you, but we have to stay focused on getting clean, you got it?"

"Well, if you insist."

"Once we are out of this bed, we need to be task oriented. We need to find Kat. I owe her. She saved your life."

"I know Jane. She is a remarkable young woman. We really got to know each other when she stayed with me at the hospital. I want to find her as much as you do."

Both women get out of bed and head into the bathroom. Jane turns the water for the shower on and helps get Maura's casts wrapped so that she can get in first. Jane gets in with Maura so that she can help her injured girlfriend wash her hair and get clean. A broken leg on one side and a broken arm on the other doesn't make the usual easy tasks very easy. Jane gets Maura squared away so that she can get herself taken care of. Jane helps Maura get dried off so that she can start getting ready. Jane gets dressed and starts packing for the two of them.

"Good morning girls, I hope you're up", Angela calls from the kitchen. When she doesn't hear a response she heads to the bedroom. She knocks on the door before she opens it.

"Oh, hey, good morning, Ma. Sorry we didn't hear you come in. We're already showered and getting ready."

"I just wanted to make sure you were up and ready. I know that this is going to be a rough day for you."

"It is. Thanks, Ma", Jane kisses Angela on the cheek.

Maura rolls herself out of the bathroom. "Good morning, Angela."

"I've got the pastries in the kitchen. I've brewed a pot of coffee. Is there anything else I can do to help this morning?"

Jane and Maura look at each other. "I don't think so, Ma. You're welcome to stay for a bit." Maura jumps in "Yes, Angela, please stay for some coffee, at least."

"Well, twist my arm. Coffee with my girls. I think I can fit that into my schedule", she says with a laugh.

Maura heads to the kitchen. Jane finishes packing the suitcases. She grabs the toiletries that each has ready for travel as well as Maura's travel make up bag. She takes the suitcases out and sets them by the front door. Maura has fixed Jane a cup of coffee, just the way she likes it. They all sit down at the table.

"Ma, I don't know how long we'll be gone. I know you don't mind keeping an eye on things around here. Could you also look in on my apartment?"

"Sure Janie. Anything else?"

"I don't think so. If I think of anything, I'll let you know. Ma, I love you. I know that my job is hard on you. I'm sorry. I can't imagine doing anything else. I promise I'll be careful."

"I know you will Janie. Tell me more about this girl that needs your help.'

"Oh, Angela, she's a sweet girl, young detective. She was staying with me at the hospital when Jane was at the station questioning Hoyt. A nurse came in with medication and was going to inject them into my IV. Kat questioned what drugs they were. She knew that the doctor would never order that drug. When she asked to see the order from the doctor the nurse tried to run. Kat cuffed her to a chair in the room. The drugs that she was trying to give me would have killed me."

"Wow. She literally saved your life."

"Yes, that's why this is so important to us. Kat is young. She has so much of her life ahead of her. And I want to know if she ever did talk to that girl that she was too shy to talk to. I told her to take a chance, life was too short. I waited and almost lost the love of my life."

"Maur, really? You told her that?"

"Yes, Jane, I did. I should have told you a long time ago."
