I see, so this is world 2138. It is also known as the original world of one Suzuki Satoru, or more commonly known as Ainz Ooal Gown. I was in the screwed-up world of Overlord, a world which was well on its way down the toilet bowl that humanity had sent it down. This world was so full of pollution from the mega corporations that people needed to have special implants put in their lungs so that they could breathe, and that was when you were wearing a gas mask. The air outside had reached such a level of toxicity that it wasn't even air at this point, it was just smog. The water needed to be filtered repeatedly before it was drinkable and even then it was a crapshoot whether you would feel sick afterwards.
The corporations had taken over the governments in the world by tricking the common people into attacking the governments and had since then done everything they could to suppress and control everyone who wasn't wealthy like they were. They lived closed off and luxurious lives away from the common people and left their businesses to run with what could only be considered the most blackhearted and cruel people they could find in charge. Not to mention that they only paid enough to keep people from starving to death, not that anyone would notice that since they wouldn't be able to get any education beyond the third grade anyways, and that was if your family was wealthy enough for even that.
Everything was controlled within a city that was completely walled up from the outside world and anyone who challenged that would find themselves dead or worse.
The doctors implanted the nano machines and the various implants into my body over the next two days and I used 500 points to raise my vitality. If I healed to quickly the doctors would probably take me to sell me to some rich fucker while telling my parents that I had died from all this poison around here before they could save me, so I suppressed my healing.
I spent the remaining points with 100 in my remaining stats to round all of them off. This was only something I could do since it turned out that my parents were hardcore drug addicts, not that I was sure about whether or not this guy was even my dad since my mom was a prostitute. Yeah, I got to see some stuff that I really did not want to see. Crackhead sex is ugly as it gets.

I learned that my system had updated again and found out that I no longer got quest points or even had a quest shop anymore. Which was fine since the only things I used it for was for either cash or a weapon since I had the information part of the shop permanently bought. I did however have the ability to order some bread and water once a day. It was probably meant as an emergency survival tool. It tasted like saw dust and plastic, but it was enough.
This became my only saving grace in this life since my new parents were usually to high to remember me, much less feed me or change me. I had to handle everything myself or die.
I went to a room at the end of the hall after my first week and used a ladder to create a fake wall. The room was apparently someone's bedroom at some point, but from the amount of blood and the used needles I figured it was safe to say they weren't coming back from wherever the hell they had wandered off to die at.
I cleaned up the room over the course of three days, it would have been faster, but being a newborn baby was difficult on me even with the higher stats. It turns out that because of the system locking down my stats so that I wouldn't turn into some sort of superpowered baby in a world where that didn't happen I was very limited in the amount of muscle I could use. That could also be because I have almost no muscle to begin with, but I made due with what I had like the little demon child I knew I was.
I did have one close call though. I had to throw everything in the room out through my window, which was nicely facing an alleyway, and that included the bucket and water that I had used to remove the blood stains on the floor. I was tossing the bucket out when I saw it land on some guys head. I ducked back inside and closed the window while keeping an eye on the guy. He had fallen to the ground and wasn't moving and I was worried about what to do if someone called the police.
I freaked out even more when I heard the notification go off for a level up since that meant the guy had died, but it didn't seem to matter. It wasn't until three days later that someone found the body and it wasn't until a day after that someone came by to remove the body. Nobody asked how he had died and nobody seemed to give a crap. It was at this point that I realized that life did not mean one iota in this new world. If I died I would be lucky to have been tossed into a dumpster and not just been tossed to some dogs to feed them. Nobody was going to care about me and I was truly on my own.
I started to make some plans at that point since I now knew that if I didn't start doing something quick I would end up dead.
My parents never did realize I was gone and I spent the next year growing into my body and experimenting to make my plans come to fruition. I had 9 years left until Yggdrasil came out and I needed to have everything up and running by then. Being too broke to afford a gaming set would make this even worse since I wouldn't be able to transfer over if I wasn't playing when it shut down. No way was I staying in this shithole world if I had a choice.
