I spent five days relaxing before Ainz called me to talk about his plans. He was going to be infiltrating the city of E-Rantel to get more information and to see how the common adventurers lived. He was also hopping that by becoming higher ranked adventurers they would be able to get access to more information.
"You do realize that we could just simply go kidnap and torture someone like the Emperor of the Baharuth empire or Fluder Paradyne and would get a ton of more information right?" I pointed out.
"I want to be able to go outside into the world without having people thinking I'm going to kidnap their royalty or massacre entire cities. From your reports it would appear that those kinds of people don't have happy endings." Ainz grumbled at me in irritation.
"Fine, fine. You go have your bit of fun, I'll hang out here for a little while more, but at some point I'm going to go have fun of my own. I never was one for letting bigots run their mouths". I told him with a lazy smile. "Make sure you remember that Naberal, I told her with a nod."
"I will do so Alex sama." She said while kneeling down.
"By the way Ainz, when you going to pop the question?" I asked with an evil grin. I saw Naberal's ears twitch to listen in.
"I, uh, I don't know what you're talking about." Ainz said as he got flustered.
"Well you are going to take responsibility right, after all to do that and not take responsibility for such a thing wouldn't be very manly."
"I'll talk about it once I've figured things out." He all but shouted before using teleporting away in embarrassment.
"May I ask what it was that you were speaking of?" Naberal asked me.
"Well, it is a personal issue for him. You see, he did something he thought wouldn't make a difference, but now it does and he is unskilled in handling these types of situations, so I like to tease him a bit for it." I told Naberal with a smile.
"Is the thing you are teasing him about Albedo sama?" She asked me with her expressionless face.
"Oh, you got it on the first try." I nodded. "Ainz went and caused her to love him, but he doesn't know how to handle such a situation because he has never had a woman be this devoted to him. He is confused because he feels that you all are the children of the other supreme beings, and in a way he is correct, but he also fails to realize that because of him altering Albedo she now loves him from the depths of his soul and he can't change that. He is troubled by her love and his own feelings."
"Does that mean that Ainz sama does not love Albedo?" Naberal asked with a sad look.
"No, on the contrary he is very attracted to Albedo and thinks of her as the perfect woman for him. The problem is that he altered her from what her creator had put as a part of her personality and it causes him to feel guilt to know that he has taken away her choice and bound her to him in a way even stronger than a simple marriage ever could. He is also conflicted since he views her as his friends daughter and feels that it is wrong to be in a relationship like that. Though that causes a lot of funny situations since he has to fight his own attraction."
"So he does love Albedo?"
"Yes he does, but he feels very conflicted about it. Not to mention that it is almost pointless regardless." I laughed.
"Why do you believe that it is pointless Alex sama?" Naberal asked with a confused tilt of her head.
"Because Albedo is a succubus that needs sex to gain power and Ainz is an undead skeleton, he doesn't have the ability to have sex with her and neither of them have realized this." I bent over laughing at the hilarious situation.
"That is truly a problem." Naberal said with a blush as she tried to picture Albedo trying to have sex with a skeleton.
"It isn't like it is hopeless, I know of a few ways that it could work out, but none of those ways will make them happy."
"Thank you for letting me know of this information." Naberal said while bowing to me.
"It is fine, after all you understood what I've said better than most and with a level head. Consider this a gift for being such a good girl." I said while leaning back in the chair. "The decision now is for you to decide whether to tell Albedo or to keep this secret."
"What do you mean Alex sama?"
"If you tell Albedo it will help to make their relationship run smoother and help her be more understanding of Ainz. This would make her very grateful of you, however if you don't tell her you can watch the hilarious situations that will happen as they figure out things on their own. This would allow them to grow as individuals and become more mature. Regardless of your choice they will end up together since Ainz and her are both attracted to each other. It is simply a choice of whether to let them grow over time while they struggle or help them along to reach the end faster while causing them to stunt their growth."
"That, is a very hard decision to make." Naberal said with her face scrunching up in irritation at the problem I had just dropped in her lap.
I laughed before saying. "With knowledge comes choices Naberal, hopefully this has given you some wisdom that will help you in the future." I then got up and gave her a kiss on her head that caused her to turn red and enter into a daze before I teleported to my room.
"I think I might go on an adventure of my own." I said upwards to the roof of my room.
"And I will be there to support you along the way my love." Sonya said while wrapping her arms around my neck and kissing my jawline.
"Of course you will." I chuckled before flipping over on top of her and looking into her red eyes. "I wouldn't have it any other way."
I spent two days with Sonya before heading out to go on my adventure. "I know where I'll go." I said with a happy clap as I walked over a hill while killing anything stupid enough to attack me. "I'll go to the Dragon kingdom. They are having problems with the beast folk there and I think that it'll be fun to meet the loli dragon queen."
I then summoned a mount to go to the kingdom before unsummoning the diamond beak lightning eagle I had used to summon a Sleipnir instead. It wouldn't be good if I went around on a level 80 mount since those kinds of creatures are considered legendary monsters here. Even a Sleipnir is high class at level 30.
I put Sonya on the Sleipnir before swinging up behind her and having the Sleipnir run while Sonya snuggled up to me. It probably looked beyond romantic to anyone who saw us. I can already hear the guys screaming in outrage at the sight of us being all lovey dovey and it makes me want to smile.
I spent the day riding before deciding to stop for the night. I unsummoned the mount and had Sonya use a scroll to create a log house for us to spend the night.
"Okay, so we are around an hours ride from the Katze plains where the empire and the kingdom have their yearly battles. It is a place full of low level dead. The strongest dead to appear there was a death knight and that is easily destroyed if we do happen to run into one. We will need to act a lot more low key if we run across any adventurers over there since I don't want them spreading stories of a dragon man and his wife destroying national level threats like nothing." I explained to Sonya.
"In the event that we do happen to get spotted doing something not possible by the people of this world we will need to kill all of them and make sure there isn't any witnesses. I will need you to summon some vampire brides or your familia to go before us and make sure we can move through the area. Though it won't make much difference since the Katze plains are usually covered in a fog that will block most people from spotting us."
"That will be fine, my vampire brides and my familia have never had the chance to go outside before and will be happy to have the chance." Sonya said as she ran a finger up my chest while looking at me.
"Good, then lets get some sleep before tomorrow." I said before leaning back in the bed and closing my eyes. I cracked one eye to see Sonya pouting at me. "Just kidding." I laughed before pulling her to me to give her a deep kiss as she giggled.
The next day we moved on to the Katze plains. It truly was a sight to behold. It was like an entire area as far as the eye could see had become a giant cloud of fog. The fog acted like it was bound to the area and refused to go beyond a certain point. Tendrils of fog would occasionally drift by in front of us, but they would quickly fall back into the fog.
Sonya summoned her familia and three vampire brides before ordering the familia to go forward and clear our path while the vampire brides were to stay beside and behind us to get rid of any undead that went around the familia to attack us.
It was rather slow going, but I was able to figure out what direction we were going using a wand of direction. The wand would crumble every time I used one because of a skill I was using to use wands at the price of the wand itself. It was a cheaper version of the ring that let you use a single type of wand regardless of class since that one didn't destroy the wands after every use, but this one let me use all wands if only once. I also had a crap load of them due to having used the cash gacha repeatedly and getting random wands a lot. I wasn't even mad since some of the wands were actually rather powerful, but the fact that my class made it so I couldn't use any magical items was a little irritating for me.
After the day had gone by I had Sonya summon a cabin and had the vampire brides and the familiars stay around the area to guard us while we slept. They were all happy enough to oblige since it meant that they could continue destroying the dead when they came near us. They really were bored.
The next morning Sonya and I walked outside only to be shocked. There was a huge pile of undead who had been killed and piled to the side in a small mountain. I just shook my head in amusement before having Sonya use a scroll to store all of the corpses. I figured someone back in Nazarick would have some sort of use for them, maybe.
This continued for the next three days before we managed to get through to the other side of the plains.
"Finally." I sighed out while stretching. "If I had to spend one more day with nothing but fog surrounding us I was going to use a breath attack to destroy the whole damned place."
"Really?" Sonya said with a coy smile. "I thought it was quite nice, it was like the only things in the world was you, me, and the horse plodding along. I thought it was perfect."
I just smiled at Sonya and said. "It is true that I enjoyed spending my days with you in my arms, but it isn't much of a date if we don't do something more interesting and new than what we do normally."
"D, D, Date." Sonya stuttered as she turned bright red and covered her face. "This is my first time going on a date with you. Such a momentous occasion." Sonya then began to muter to herself.
I got a ringing sound before allowing the message spell to connect.
"Alex, are you able to talk?" Ainz asked me with a voice tinged with panic.
"Sure, what's up?" I asked as I walked off a bit from where Sonya was going off into her own world.
"I just had a meeting with the adventurers guild in E-Rantel. Shaltear has been brainwashed and it appears that a world item or something of similar power was used. They noticed her prescence and have asked me and other mithril ranked adventurers to slay her. The only way to get her back to normal is to kill her, but I'm worried about whether or not she will come back if she dies and I am also wondering if you could fight her since with me being an undead magic caster I am terribly weak against her."
"Okay, calm down man." I said with a sigh. "So as far as her coming back after death, I believe it is possible for any of the NPCs to come back and even for us to come back as well. The fact that resurrection is even possible in this world means that the likelihood of this is very high, though it is possible that the resurrected person might lose memories or maybe just experience. I don't know what would happen since I haven't used resurrection on anyone yet. Just wait a second and I'll find out."
"Wait what?" Ainz yelled out as I summoned a level 20 humanoid and told him to remember the words, I am the king, before killing him. I then resurrected him and asked him if he remembered what I told him. He didn't.
"It looks like there is indeed some memory loss from the resurrection and they also lose some experience, around a levels worth by the looks of it." I told Ainz who was freaking out on the other end.
"As for me going and defeating Shaltear, I'll be there." I let out another sigh as I rubbed the bridge of my nose. "I do hope that you are going to take care of any extras in the area and that you will be giving me a gift of some kind for interrupting my date with my wifey." I heard Sonya let out a squeal at the word date from behind me, or possibly wifey, who knows.
"Yeah, yeah." Ainz muttered. "I'll get you something nice from E-Rantel to make up for it." He then made a clicking sound which I believe was him thinking he had shut down the message. It's funny since I now know that the message doesn't actually end like that and that the guardians he used the spell to contact had simply stopped the spell on their end and he hadn't actually been stopping it on his end. The not so funny part was when he started going off about how I was an insufferable playboy who slept with anything that moved and didn't take anything seriously while thinking that it was so cool to wear a vest with tight pants and having my muscles on display like some sort of freaky bodybuilder.
I coughed and said. "I'm still here Ainz."
There was complete silence on the other end for a few seconds before he asked. "Uh, how much did you hear of that?"
"I think we will need to have some words later." I said with a frown. I hung up as I heard the sound of Ainz letting out a very unmanly squeal of terror on the other end of the line.
I turned to Sonya and said. "Sorry about interrupting our date, but it looks like I need to go kill Shaltear for getting brainwashed. Do you want to leave your vampire brides here to play while we go back to the tomb for a bit?"
"Of course, can I watch you kill little Shaltear?" Sonya asked while batting her eyes at me.
"You can watch through the crystal ball with the other guardians if you want. I'll probably have to use some serious AOE attacks and I don't want you to so much as get a scratch from my rough housing."
"Awe honey." Sonya said as she hugged me. "That's so sweet that you're being all protective of me." She then gave me a kiss and opened a portal to just outside the tomb. Her vampire brides went back into the fog to play around some more while they waited for us to come back.
After we got back I had Mare send me off to where Shaltear was and messaged Ainz.
"Okay, so I'm here. You done on your end?"
"Just finishing up. I'll be back at the tomb and out of your way in ten minutes. I am going to have Aura and Mare stay nearby to catch anyone nearby who might be spying on your fight. They will be well outside of the area though, so you don't need to hold back."
"Oh good, I can finally get a good bit of my anger worked out then."
"Um anger?" Ainz asked nervously.
"Oh you know, just somebody insulting me over the phone when all I did was be nice to them and try to help them out, stuff like that."
"Oh, uh, well I hope you get your anger worked out well then." Ainz said with a slight squeak.
I then hung up and waited for ten minutes before walking over to Shaltear and waving a hand in front of her face.
"She really is in standby mode." I said with a grin. "This is going to be fun."
I then walked away before shifting into Ainz and casting traps all over the place. I then shifted to another form and repeated the process. I did this for every form that could create traps near a person and I finally stopped once I had run out of mana. I then went back to my original self and downed a few mana potions to fill myself back up before transforming into a dragon and using a dragon skill to maximize my breath attack into a thin single point that could instantly kill a person. The only drawback to this skill is that it would normally use up all of the time allowed for a person to be transformed while also being incredibly easy to dodge, but because Shaltear couldn't move until after the first attack I figured it would be fine to get rid of her resurrection item. I also had unlimited time to be a dragon in this world since my transformation skill was a racial skill and there wasn't any game mechanics trying to keep things fair.
I was amazed when I had used my dragon transformation for the first time in this world and had found that I wasn't in a third person view this time and had full control over my body. I tested out everything and found that while I would get a little tired from breath attacks I could just wait and the energy would come back and even when I had waited for over a day my body didn't need to switch back. I could be a dragon for however long I wanted. The best thing though was the fact that because of my Otherman race I could turn into all of the dragons I had eaten to 100%, which was all of them. I could even be the world devouring dragon. It was amazing. My Otherman skill also didn't delete my forms after being defeated now. It was wonderful.
I used the breath attack and it hit Shaltear straight on as I shifted back to my humanoid form and watched as she glowed with the effects of the reincarnation tool that she had been left with.
"That hurt Alex sama." Shaltear laughed while wearing her full armor.
"I figured that since you got brainwashed like this I should punish you a bit, plus I'm a little upset with a certain person over his careless words, so I'm going to kill you for a bit. I hope you don't mind." I told Shaltear with a grin.
"Of course not Alex Sama. I would be glad to help you relieve your stress however you wished, but I also need to kill you."
"Oh, and why is that?"
"Because, you attacked me, and that means I need to destroy you. But I don't want to destroy you. Argh, whatever. I'll just kill you and figure it out later."
"Okay, good luck with that." I told her as I pulled out some food to snack on while Shaltear rushed at me. She took a step forward before having an earth spear stab at her stomach. The second she jumped backwards she hit a floating mine and was knocked to the ground where she got hit by even more spears. They lifted her in the air and right into a floating spike wall. Shaltear let out a lot of blood, but she didn't try to escape. That was probably the thing that saved her from ending up in more of my traps.
Shaltear summoned her familia and had them go outwards from her to set off the traps and I just stood there watching her.
"This isn't very nice Alex sama. You are obviously mocking me right now." Shaltear said with a smile.
"Well I was just thinking, after I get done killing you and we resurrect you I will need to punish you for trying to attack me. I was thinking about putting a collar on you and making you my own little doggy. What do you think?" I asked her with a smirk.
Shaltear let out a small moan at the thought of me abusing her that way.
"I guess that's a yes then."
Shaltear's familia was all but dead and she had used her lance to heal herself back to full health.
I shifted back into Ainz and used a constant barrage of spells to hit her while she did the same to me. Shaltear then sent out her Einherjar to rush me and distract me from up close while she continued to throw spells at me. I let her copy hit me once before using a dragon skill.
"Reversi." I called out and caused Shaltear to stumble and spit out blood while all of my wounds healed and her copy exploded.
Reversi was from a dragon that would transfer all damage done to it to a single target. This was very annoying, but if you hit it only on it's belly and it's tail it wouldn't be able to transfer any of the damage done to those spots.
I then used a 10th tier spell to hit Shaltear with a massive amount of lightning damage that stunned her for the next 10 seconds. I wasted no time and transformed into my dragon form before using a breath attack imbued with time and death energy.
This caused Shaltear and the surrounding kilometer of land to be turned into a giant pit of sand and dust.
Shaltear just smiled and said. "Long live Alex sama and Ainz Ooal Gown sama." Such a drama queen.
This attack was one of my strongest and required me to be in my death dragon form while imbuing time energy into my breath attack. It also drained me very fast.
I went back to the tomb after that with a big grin and said loudly. "Ah that was refreshing."
"Alex sama, welcome back." Yuri greeted me before handing me my ring. "Ainz sama is in the throne room with the other guardians."
I went to the throne room and we went through the whole reincarnation process. Luckily I had bought so much currency before we were transported here since resurrecting Shaltear was not cheap at all.
After everyone scolded Shaltear I walked up to her and put a collar on her. She was confused and I simply said that she would understand what it meant later.
I then turned to Ainz who was watching everything and I pulled out another collar. "Next time you go insulting me like that you'll get a collar too, and I'll be giving Albedo the leash." I told him with a shark grin that caused him to shake in terror before bursting into laughter.
I just smiled since I knew this reminded him of our past with the other guild mates. I had even forced Touch me to wear a collar due to him getting me trapped between four giants for over an hour. I had to hide in-between some boulders since I was low on health and couldn't heal without waiting for my skills to go off cooldown since I was stuck in a combat state.
