This will start at the Ninja Village from XYZ episode 7 and will go my way from therefore out. Some parts of the story will be like the anime, but just like before will go my way. The story will be narrated from Ash's POV throughout the entire story. Serena, Clement and Bonnie will sometimes narrate also. But for short to medium snippets. Also some OOC moments for Greninja. Let's begin!
Chapter 1: The Beginning of Something Big
We were in the Ninja Village. Sanpei's hometown. It was a wonderment all around and a lot of people including Sanpei had a Greninja. I would love to have Frogadier evolve. But I can't rush it. It's up to Frogadier. Our bond is what gets us to win battles. Anyway we were enjoying our time battling each other when I heard a massive explosion.
"What was that?" Serena asked out of fear. All of the sudden a shuriken made out of water zoomed past us and exploded behind us. The village was being attacked. I turned toward the source of that shuriken of water and what I saw coming out of the mountains were two people with an army of ninjas behind them. One who was older was wearing an Aggron mask and another was younger, but looked like he was in his 20's.
"Sanpei what's going on?" I ask him a little worried. He just continues looking at the army of ninjas and their leaders I'm guessing were marching in from somewhere in the mountains.
"It's Kagetomo," He replies with a slightly dull and irritated voice.
"He wanted to become chief of the village, but Chief Hanzo wouldn't let him so he swore he would come back and take it from him. The guy in the Aggron mask is Heidayu, his assistant, who is also from this village," He paused for a second. "We'd better go find Chief." He said.
"He could be in trouble." He said. I nodded signaling that I would help him defeat these guys.
"Serena, Clemont, Bonnie and Shinobu you guys stick together. Me and Sanpei are going to see if Chief Hanzo is okay." I said as we began moving up the hillside. They nodded to signal that they understood. But as we were running I saw a blur and right in front of us was the guy with the Aggron mask also known as Heidayu.
"Where do you think you're going?" He asked with a smirk.
"We're going to find Chief Hanzo." Sanpei said with a little growl.
"Sorry, but you'll have to get through me first," He said while reaching for a Pokéball.
"Bisharp come on out!" He said as the spiky Unova Pokémon popped out.
"Alright Greninja let's go." Sanpei said as he threw his Pokéball and Greninja popped out.
"Alright Pikachu here we go. Frogadier I choose you!" I say while throwing Frogadier's Pokéball. Pikachu hops off my shoulder and gets into a battle stance. Frogadier pops out with a "Froga" which signals he is ready for battle.
"Bisharp use Metal Claw." Heidayu said.
"Pikachu use Iron Tail!" I yelled out. The two attacks clashed and they both came out equal.
"Frogadier use Water Pulse!" I yelled. Frogadier created a sphere of water and threw it at Bisharp.
"Greninja use Water Shuriken." Sanpei said. The two attacks intertwined with each other for added power.
"Use Snarl!" Heidayu commanded quickly. The attacks clash and the Snarl overpowered it much to Sanpei's and my surprise. The Snarl hit all three of our Pokémon and they all fell to the ground wincing in pain. And they slammed into the ground hard. I could just feel it. I was gritting my teeth and was mad being beat 3 to 1. Apparently Frogadier sensed what I was feeling and stood up first. And I sensed he wanted to beat him badly. Our bond is stronger than ever.
"Frogadier use Water Pulse!" I yelled in determination. He created a Water Pulse bigger than normal and hurled it at Heidayu's Bisharp and it couldn't react in time and got hit by it. It got pushed back and fell to one knee wincing in pain.
"Grr. Bisharp you can still battle right?" Heidayu said. Bisharp stood up which was the answer to his question.
"Alright Dark Pulse go!" He yelled and Bisharp shot out a beam of dark energy headed toward Pikachu. Pikachu was still recovering from that last blow and couldn't get away in time. The ground is really hard which is affecting my Pokémon as they take more damage from slamming into the ground than the attack itself.
"Pikachu no!" I yelled in despair as the the Dark Pulse headed in his direction. But just as it was about to hit it was stopped by a white light. That white light was Frogadier. I stared in awe.
"It's evolving." Sanpei said in astonishment. Serena, Shinobu, Clemont and Bonnie weren't so far behind also. Frogadier's shape shifted and grew larger while yelling in determination. Then the light disappeared and what was Frogadier was now a big frog-ninja. It was Greninja. The final form of Froakie. Astonished, I took out my Pokédex and scanned Greninja.
"Greninja, the Ninja Pokémon. And the final form of Froakie. Greninja can run at speeds that makes him look like a blur and can create large, pointy shurikens out of water." The Pokédex said.
"Amazing." Shinobu said. Serena stared in awe and then determination came over her.
"That'll be us one day Braxien." She said. Braxien responded with a determined nod.
"Don't think you will win just because your Pokémon evolved. Kagetomo will still become the Chief! Bisharp use X-Scissor!" Heidayu yelled.
"Yeah?! Well we'll become even stronger. Grr. Let's go!" I yelled. My body felt warm and my heart beat sped up. Me and Greninja cocked our arms back and looked at the sky both of us yelling in determination. What I saw next was a torrent of water shooting up from Greninja and he was then inside a veil of water and mysteriously looked different. Everyone looked on in shock and awe. Then I went into hard drive mode and so did Greninja.
"Use Cut!" I yelled as Greninja took out not one, but two blades of white as he sped of toward Bisharp. Both moves clashed and Greninja completely annihilated the X-Scissor and smashed Bisharp into the ground causing Heidayu to fall to the ground due to the impact. Then it all ended. It ended as quickly as it started. Greninja was back to normal. I thought it was a dream. Greninja looked at me and nodded.
"Greninja what did you just do?" I asked in amazement. I don't even know what happened it was so fast. I shook out of the awe I was in as I realized we still need to find Chief Hanzo.
"We'll figure that out later. We still need to find Chief Hanzo and see if he is okay." I said with determination. Everyone nodded and we began running toward the top of the mountain. When we reached the top we saw Ippei, Sanpei's older brother, and Kagetomo battling. And I saw Chief Hanzo tied up in rope. The battle looked like it was rough, but it looks like Ippei has this in the bag.
"Alright finish this with Water Shuriken." Ippei said as his Greninja threw two Water Shurikens toward Kagetomo's Weavile and Weavile was down for the count.
"Come on Weavile. Get up and battle." Kagetomo demanded, but it wouldn't get up. He kicked Weavile and it winced in pain which made me fume.
"Hey what do you think you're doing?! You see that it's over. Don't you dare pressure your Pokémon like that!" I yelled at him with anger. He just laughed as he put Weavile back into its Pokéball and brought out another. He took it and tossed it and the Pokémon that popped out was a Drapion. A Dark and a Poison type.
"Greninja let's go!" I yell as Greninja pops out. His smile faltered a bit.
"You too with a Greninja? No matter. I will still beat you!" He exclaimed.
"Drapion use Cross Poison." He ordered. Drapion's claws glowed purple and he shot out an X shaped poison beam.
"Greninja dodge, then use Water Shuriken!" I said as Greninja ran to dodge the Cross Poison and created two Shurikens of water and shot them at Drapion.
"Dodge it." He said. Drapion moved off to the side and the Water Shurikens hit the ground behind him.
"Alright Greninja get up close and use Aerial Ace." I yelled out as Greninja sped off with blazing speed and hit Drapion with brutal force.
"Grrr it's fast. No matter. Drapion grab it and use ViceGrip!" He ordered Drapion and it did as it was told and went to grab Greninja, but I wasn't going to let that happen.
"Double Team let's go!" I yelled with determination and Greninja made multiple copies of itself and Drapion looked confused.
"Ha bad idea. Use Snarl." Kagetomo said as Drapion unleashed a pulse of dark energy that had a 360 degree pan and I heard a thud as Greninja hit the ground. He got up quick, but was fazed by that Snarl.
"Ha now it's over. Finish this with Signal Beam." Kagetomo said and Drapion unleashed a powerful rainbow beam of big energy. But I was not going to let Greninja get hit.
"No I don't think so. We'll have more and more power!" I yelled as my body heated up and my heart rate sped up again. Me and Greninja cocked our arms back and pointed our fists up to the sky and let out a big yell. The same thing happened earlier as a torrent of water once more shot up from Greninja and covered Greninja with a veil of water again much to everyone's surprise. But Chief Hanzo and Ippei were completely astonished. I couldn't see Greninja well through the veil of water, but I could definitely tell that Greninja was looking very different.
"It's over now for your Drapion." I said with a smirk as Greninja and I stood in the same position. Now was the time to attack.
"Greninja use Aerial Ace!" I yelled. Greninja's fins lit up white as he was now a blur on the battlefield as the Signal Beam was pushed back in an instant and he hit Drapion with what looked like the force of a meteorite slamming into the Earth. Kagetomo was dumbfounded as within a matter of seconds Drapion was on the ground with swirls in it's eyes to signify he's down. Once again as soon as it happened Greninja returned to it's normal form and this time I knew it was no dream. Kagetomo called back Drapion and stared down in defeat.
"I lost, didn't I? But how?!" Kagetomo asked with anger while stomping his foot in the ground.
"Because Ippei and Ash have something you don't," Hanzo said as he came walking towards us. He must've figured out how to break those ropes. "And that thing is devotion. You see Ippei and Ash wanted to save this village. That's what brought out their inner power. If you want to be something or good at something you want that need to be in that certain position young Kagetomo. But what I'm most interested in is what happened with Ash's Greninja. Ash do you know how that happened?" Chief Hanzo asked curiously as he turned to face me.
"I wish I knew. When it happened I felt a warm feeling come over me and my heart rate sped up. I felt as though I was a part of Greninja. Greninja do you have any ideas of what might've happened?" I asked.
"Gren-greninja." He said while shrugging his shoulders. But something was off. I could tell he was lying to me, but I decided not to pester it. Ippei came to study my Greninja.
"Your Greninja looks normal to me, but what just happened a couple of minutes ago that was something I have never seen a Greninja do before. It looked as if it turned into Ash's attire." Ippei said and everyone gasped, but I wasn't much surprised since this is the second time this happened. I am still amazed and speechless by it though. We'll figure it out soon. We had to get going though so we can head to Snowbelle City for my eighth gym badge so I can enter the Kalos League.
"We'll figure it out soon. And when we do we can use it all of the time." I said while pumping my fist. Greninja did the same and it was at the same time as mine too. That just shows our bond. The bond that is unbreakable.
Time Change
Me, Serena, Clement and Bonnie waved our goodbyes as we stood on the outskirts of the Ninja Village. We watched as Kagetomo was put in a Officer Jenny squad car and it sped off. Then we turned around and walked towards the sunset back onto the path for Snowbelle City.
"Ash?" Serena asked.
"Yeah." I replied.
"Do you think that transformation back there with Greninja was due to your guys' bond?" Serena asked. I was pretty sure that had a big role in it.
"I'm pretty confident that's the case. I mean as we were doing the transformation we were doing the exact same movements together." I said. I wasn't going to worry about it though. But all I know is that this could be the start of something big.
