Albian: Yeah Surge does care about Sonic, the first and only friend she has that isn't programmed to be that way. That being said, that line may start to blur.
So, A little curtain peak to look at my story board with regards to the Surge Super-badnik, there were actually three super Badniks cut from this story. One for Surge, one for Sonic, and one for kit. I cut them because there is a subplot that is currently running that would interfere with it. There was originally supposed to be a boss fight for everyone, with Surge and Sonic evaluating each other while fighting their respective badniks, and then uniting over trying to save Kit. These were all cut for another subplot I'll point out at the end.
As For Amy, I may or may not be saving her for a reason.
I hope I don't lose you over this, but I really don't plan on having a Kit perspective chapter. I suffer when I work with three POVs.
J.J.: I tried to make it acceptable. I know some cracks showed up, but I was trying to make it good.
Guest: Here's your update.
Giyuufan: Then you shall wait no more!

Sonic laid in bed, looking up at the ceiling. Tails was curled up next to him, and snoring softly as his one of his tails rolled up and down Sonic's chest, as if checking to see if Sonic was there.
His mind went to Surge. They were friends now. Sonic felt his heart tickle at the thought. Maybe he was little proud he'd broke the "I'll you forever" schtick Surge had. Deep down, though, Sonic knew he was happy, because he didn't want Surge to hate him.
But if Sonic learned anything, it was that nothing came free. She was probably not "ok" on the inside. Brainwashing didn't go away simply because they were friends now. She was probably awake as he was thinking about this stuff.
Sonic's ears flicked as he heard the steps moving. Speak of the devil.
Sonic slowly pulled away from Tails and got out of bed. He walked over to the door, and went down the stairs. As he walked down, he heard the door open and shut. Sonic walked to the door, and walked outside. He saw the green streak as she ran over to the cliff.
Sonic's mind went… dark for a moment and he gave chase. Then he saw Surge slow down, just at the edge of the cliff, and kick her feet over the edge.
Sonic came up behind her.
"Can't sleep, asshole?" Surge grumbled, kicking her feet off the cliff.
Sonic hesitated, before sighing, "I was worried you couldn't."
Surge scooted over, and Sonic came over sat with her.
"You know, part of me wants to pull your ass off this fucking cliff." Surge grumbled, sounding… depressed.
"What's the other part want to do?" Sonic asked, feeling a bit of a knowing smile.
Surge glared at Sonic, before shaking her head, "You are a pain in my ass. You know that?"
Sonic laughed, "Well, don't try to step on hedgehogs."
Surge groaned, "I don't fucking get you. If this shit was in reverse, I'd throw your ass off this cliff as payback." Surge balled her fist, before throwing her head back and laying down.
Sonic laid down as well, "Well, First off all, I was going to get you out of that pit. You shocked me, remember."
Surge groaned, "Oh, So it's my fucking fault!"
"Yes." Sonic stated firmly. Surge blinked.
Then she started chuckling, "Fine… Fuck it. My bad. It was all my bad. There, you fucking happy?"
"You aren't the same as you were before. Not… not exactly. You're still you I mean…. Just… uh.." Sonic caught himself, not sure how to say what he was thinking.
Surge sighed, "Yeah… I know… I'm fucking nothing like I was before." She sounded bitter.
Sonic gaped, "Well, no, You're-"
"No… I'm not. That Shit is …dead. I'm done with that shit." Surge growled, sitting up, "It's like you said, none of it matters. Damn… that actually feels kind of good." Surge laughed.
Sonic licked his lips, "We can still-"
"No…. I'm done. Starline lives in my head enough, he's controlled me enough. Fuck it all. I'm doing what ever the fuck I want." Surge growled, before zipping back to the house.
Sonic slumped, before picking himself up. She was not ok, and Sonic found himself worried about her yet again. She was never emotionally stable as far as Sonic knew. He didn't want her to do anything drastic.
Sonic could tell it was eating at her. He could see it on her face. While he wanted to believe she would talk when she was ready, Sonic had a feeling Surge was going try and push through it alone. He zipped back to the house, and crept up the stairs slowly.
Sonic heard grumbling in the guest room. He opened the door and saw Surge clutching her pillow, stirring up as Sonic entered the room, "You want to actually talk now?"
Surge's head jerked around from inside her pillow. She glared at Sonic with a look that could probably kill someone. Sonic kept his confident gaze, putting up a smug but persistent smile. Surge looked at the empty space in her bed, before crawling out and stepping down onto the floor once again.
"I can't fucking sleep." Surge growled, and Sonic could hear that she was not in a good frame of mind from how angrily she breathed.
"Yeah… I figured." Sonic sighed as she walked into the hallway. They went back down the stairs, where Sonic simply smiled, "How about we try my way."
Surge groaned, "What, go do some fucking road work to clear your conscience or some shit? Booze? Maybe something strong like a whiskey?" Her callous comments were always a nice treat.
Sonic heated up some water on the stove, "Are you really alright? In the head?"
"I want to fucking kill you. I think that answers that retarded question." Surge growled, slamming her fist on the table. She panted, "Fuck… it's not your fault. At least not all of that shit."
Sonic turned around and looked at the water, "Well… Maybe it is." Sonic had to reckon with the fact that he wasn't able to save her when things went wrong. Was her family one of those people who called his name that Sonic just assumed they wanted an autograph? Were they going to beg for his help, if he'd only given them the time of day?
"Fuck that. Quit milking pity you bitch." Surge growled scratching her cheek.
Sonic shrugged, and poured the warm water into two ceramic cup, before grabbing the they kept in the corner. He opened the container and pulled out the small, purple leaves and dropped them in the cup. They sifted to the bottom, and Sonic walked back over to Surge, setting the cup on the table, "Give it five minutes."
Surge rolled her eyes, and they sat there. Sonic tapped his foot, ever so slightly. Surge tapped her fingers on the table.
She finally growled, "Fuck this. I'm going to watch TV."
Sonic shrugged, and picked up the cup. Surge turned on the TV to see some drama going on. Sonic set the cup down and sat on the other side of Surge. Some pink wolf was crying at the large green hippo, begging him to stay.
Surge finally sighed, "I don't fucking know what I am going to do with my life."
Sonic moved his eyes to look at her, "What?"
"I was made to destroy you. Now what do I do? I have so much I can do with my life… that I can't think of anything to do." Surge grumbled. She sounded so lost, but Sonic understood.
"Be a hero. Make the world a better place. You can work with me and Tails if you want to." Sonic offered her. Surge looked at Sonic, and something in her eyes shifted. That light briefly emerged, before being snuffed out yet again.
"After the shit that's up here?" She took her hands and poked her temples, "Nah… I'll fucking disappear, and maybe help out when I can. Let's be real: I will fuck you up if I stay here."
Sonic frowned. He felt his spite growing, "You know what?" Sonic grabbed the cup of tea on the table and took a hard swig of it, "I Don't think you will."
Surge snatched the cup away from his hand, "Hey asshole!"
Sonic smiled at her, "That is a very strong sleep tea. Something about roots and leaves and stuff. I don't know. I just give it to Tails when he has nightmares. I will not be able to fight back all night. We'll see if I am dead in the morning." Sonic smiled at Surge took a swig.
She set it on the table and looked horrified at Sonic. Sonic kept his fierce gaze at her. His eye lids felt heavy, and closed his eyes with a grin.
"You son of a bitch." Surge growled, before Sonic briefly heard her head hit the couch cushion.
Sonic didn't have dreams. The tea was way too strong for that. He woke up feeling his entire arm and shoulder wet. A loud snoring was rumbling in his ear. As Sonic's eyes struggled open, and he saw Surge, resting her head against his, her mouth open in a loud snore. A long line of drool worked its way down his arm.
Sonic wasn't sure whether to laugh or jerk away from disgust. He decided it wasn't worth rudely waking her up, so he stayed there.
Sonic looked at her mouth, open and displaying her teeth. Most people would say "You wouldn't know she's a jerk when she's asleep." Surge was not like that. Sonic could immediately tell that she was not someone nice, even as she slept. But she was getting better.
Sonic found himself face to face with that reality. Surge was never going to be him, she was too different in her style. Still, Sonic could see her doing some good with her abilities. Surge began to grumble in her sleep.
"Hnng anng ammagi."
Sonic slowly pulled his head away from hers, and stood up. He walked in the kitchen, only to find that Tails wasn't up yet.
Sonic frowned, but shrugged, and went up to their room. When Sonic opened the door, Tails was laying on his stomach, his paws underneath his fur. His eyes were open, and looking at Sonic. Sonic's eyes began to rise, and he saw Kitsunami, laying on top of Tails in the same position, his paws between his stomach and Tails' back. Miles' tails were on top of the fennec, serving as a blank.
"He just crawled on my back, and I couldn't move." Tails whispered.
"Don't fennecs sleep like that with their family." Sonic whispered with a light chuckle.
"They used to!" Tails whined helplessly.
The blue fennec stirred up, yawning. His eyes opened with a bit of shock to Sonic, before calming down. He rolled off Tails' back, and plopped down onto the wooden floor, before walking up to Sonic.
"IS she ok? Surge seems mad." Kit whimpered.
"She's not mad at you. She's… confused, and she's doubting herself." Sonic smiled, before laughing, "But I am still alive, so I think she's blowing it out of proportion."
Tails sat up, "She's been brainwashed to hate you, but her time and exposure to you might be breaking it down. I don't know, but we need to watch out for a relapse."
Sonic laughed, "Come on buddy, She'll be fine. Surge is… really strong, isn't that right Kit?"
Kit nodded aggressively.
Sonic went down stairs, and Tails started on breakfast, "Did you use the sleep tea?"
"Yeah, Surge was having trouble sleeping." Sonic laughed nervously.
"Sonic, She'll be out for a few hours now. She wasn't prepared for a full dose." Tails grumbled, slumping is head in anger.
Sonic held up his hands, "W-Well, She needed-"
"Who need what? Fuck, that was a good night sleep." Surge walked into the kitchen, clutching her head.
"Well, Hello sleepy head, enjoy using me as a pillow?" Sonic smiled at her, a slightly more comfortable grin making its way to his face.
Surge blinked up at him, "W-what?" She seemed a little embarrassed.
Sonic gestured to his arm, which still had the matted quills from her drool.
Surge waved it off, laughing slightly, "Shit, You're just so soft and squishy I couldn't resist."
Sonic laughed, "Well, At least you got some good sleep."
Surge stretched her back, "Alright, fine, Yeah, I got good fucking sleep. Now what the hell are we doing?"
"I'm also still alive." Sonic left that there, giving her a smug look.
Surge growled, "You try killing someone when you can't fucking move your arms." She bore her razor sharp teeth with an angry grin.
Tails growled, "Alright, that's enough out of you two!"
Sonic and Surge looked at Tails, before Surge shrugged, and sat down at the table. They sat down and ate breakfast, which was eggs and bacon. Of course, as they finished up, problems came knocking.
"Um… Hello?" Vector called from the other side of the door.
Sonic ran and opened the door, "What's up?"
"Oh great, it's the fucking purse!" Surge called after spotting the crocodile.
Vector growled, "That is incredibly inse-"
"Yeah-yeah, tell it to someone who…. Fine, I'm sorry you, little bitch." Sonic was thoroughly surprised. Surge actually apologized in her own, angry way.
Vector blinked before shaking his head, "Look, Sonic… Vanilla's not at home, neither is Cream. I can't bear to think about what happened to them. Look I'd go get 'em myself, but I can't do much. SO please, go get them and bring them back safe."
Sonic looked up at the big guy. He was still chasing the fluffy cotton tail. Sonic could see it on his face. Still, Sonic did need to save them, and the map showed the two of them along the way to get to Amy. Why not?
"Sure… We'll go get them." Sonic sighed with a smile.
"Really?" Vector held his face in awe.
Sonic Laughed, "What? You thought I was going to leave them behind?"
"Well, after you get them, then we can get Amy, then-" Vector started, but Sonic interrupted him.
"That's everyone, we'll be done." Sonic smiled.
"What about-" Vector started.
"Nope, that's everyone." Sonic smiled, cheek to cheek.
Vector nodded, "A-Alright… I guess. I'll tell you where to go… as usual…"
Sonic ran back into the kitchen as Surge set her plate in the sink, "Alright, we are heading out."
"Finally, some fucking action!" Surge threw her fists up as Kit looked at her, before trying to mirror her pose.
Sonic smiled, "I'll get the warp ring."
After they finished up with breakfast, They all met outside. Sonic asked very clearly, "Is everyone ready?"
"Let's get this shit started!" Surge slammed her fists together.
Sonic nodded, and threw the ring. It opened up in the desert, and the team stepped out.
Alright, So it's gonna be in the jungle, it seems like they're actually a little distance apart.
"How far is a little?" Sonic asked, getting agitated as Surge looked at him with a scowl.
Well… they're several miles apart… sorry
Sonic sighed, before thinking. He had an idea, "How about we split up?" Sonic looked at Surge as she recoiled slightly.
"Split up?" Surge growled in confusion.
SPLIT UP?
Sonic nodded, "Yeah, You and Kit, and me and Tails, we can split up and save two for one." Sonic smiled at her. Surge looked skeptical but shrugged.
"Actually, I want to go with Surge. You take Kit." Tails smiled at Sonic.
Everyone seemed to get shocked from that statement.
Surge growled, "What's your fucking plan, fox?"
"I'm just thinking. I think we need a change of pace." Tails smiled at Kit, who seemed especially stressed out.
"What?" Surge growled angrily.
"It shouldn't be a problem, right? You can pick up for my short comings, right?" Tails smiled at her in a clever little way.
Surge grit her teeth, before smiling, "Of course I can, Don't worry you worthless shit, I'll take care of you."
Sonic felt a little on guard at her comment at Tails, but tossed an ear piece to the fox, "Alright, we'll meet up through Vector. See you then?" Sonic looked at Surge, and she turned around, but gave him a grin over her shoulder.
Sonic grabbed a scared Kit, and ran to Vanilla.

Me: So, we've got everything planned from here?
Brain: Yep, hey you know the ending.
Me: the canon one? The one where everything sort of gets tied up nicely and I don't have to think any deeper about it?
Brain:
Me: I hate you.
So this is the worst part of writing. I had to work a chapter in that I didn't have planned, and so my morale just bottomed out. I think I've gotten over it though. The Poll is still up for this section, so check out my profile.
One piece of advertising I am going to do: If you like this story, check out Sonic Rangers by Kintostar. Tell him I sent you, or don't. I just want some love to be shown to these Sonic and Surge stories, maybe get them a little more popular.
I'm still taking votes for how you all want the alternative endings to be handled. I will for two more sections, then, the votes will be tallied and I will proceed. Vote Via review or PM, no polls, or maybe I should do a poll?
Lastly, leave a review or PM me. I will respond next chapter to reviews, and I will respond to PMs when I can. PM will remain private, so if you don't feel comfortable with sharing a thought about the chapter, you can send a PM and only you and I will know, unless you tell someone else.
