As always read and review-
As he was led inside the building by the Ancient One, Harry could see people in robes moving around in the courtyard. The sorcerers practicing the mystic arts could be seen as orange constructs were created and destroyed in equal measure. His eyes roamed over everything from the newest students practicing wielding weapons and artifacts as the elders taught them Sorcery. Amazingly, he couldn't feel the magic. It was as if magic was being performed without magic.
His curiosity off the charts, Harry finally asked the question burning in his mind.
"Why don't I feel their magic when they are creating weapons?"
The Ancient One entered a room, beckoning him to do the same as she sat down on the floor with a small table sitting between them. Looking around at the Spartan living arrangements, Harry mimicked her and sat down and changed his clothes into Acromantula Silk robes he had worn in his home dimension.
"We will discuss that later," the Ancient One began, "for now I want to tell you that due to you starting your Ascension into godhood, your magic is also strengthening as a result. You were unaware of this and that is the only reason your attack pierced through the shield and killed so many civilians. I don't know much about your magic, but that is what happened to one of the students at Kamar Taj. If you want to avoid such happenings then I suggest you practice controlling all the excess power you are amassing in your soul and body even now as I speak."
"You cannot feel the magic being used by the masters and apprentices outside because they aren't using magic like you are. These sorcerers use energy bleeding into our dimension from other planes of existence to perform mystical feats. Your kind uses the power inherent in their body and soul to perform magic."
"And before you ask, yes, I have met and seen 'wizards' and 'mages' from your dimension. The last time someone came here was in 1546. He didn't give his name but lived in Kamar Taj and the London sanctum for over a century before he passed. I studied his magic and capabilities extensively, as I knew that I had finally found an explanation for those different magical incidents that happened earlier."
Harry's mind went through numerous possibilities and implications of this story. He looked up as a tall man entered the room, his hair braided back into a short ponytail and a sword was strapped to his back. The man looked at Harry once before turning to the Ancient one and bowed deeply before clasping his hands behind him and speaking in a powerful, yet respectful voice.
"Master, the Dimensional barrier near the New York Sanctum where Lord Loki created his portal has been weakened. Additionally, someone has summoned some demons through it in the sewers. The sorcerer has been apprehended and punished accordingly. Master Devon along with ten initiates and two elders are hunting the demons down."
"Thank you Kaecillius, you may go now. Please assist Master Singh with combat training."
A bow later, the man named Kaecillius was gone. This left them all alone in the room once again. Harry's finger tapped against his knee and Harry finally asked as he turned towards her.
"What did you want to talk to me about when you stopped me earlier? And how in the name of Merlin did you turn back time?"
A small smile appeared on the Ancient One's face and she stood up. Smoothing out wrinkles in her robe, the Ancient one moved towards the window opposite to him and clasped her hands behind her back, her fingers gliding over a ring on her right hand.
"Time, the second most powerful thing in the universe," she began speaking after a moment, "Only biologically and spiritually immortal beings are safe from its ravages. It cannot be controlled easily, and to my knowledge only three methods are available to humans to control it. The blessing of Lord Shiva, the Trikaldarshi and the summoning of Lord Chronos' powers. The third method is the most precise and most powerful."
Turning around, the Ancient One crossed her arms in front of her chest, on which a pendant was lying. It was the same one he has seen glowing green outside. She uncrossed her arms and the pendant opened up like a lotus, displaying a shining green gem to him. The gem wasn't what caught his attention though. No, his attention was fully enraptured by the colossal amount of energy he could physically feel emanating from the stone.
"What the hell is that?"
She levitated the stone out of the pendant, raising it above her hand and walked forwards, sitting down in her place once more. The object in question floated towards him, its emerald light eerily similar to the Avada Kedavra curse. Now that the stone was closer to him, Harry was able to make out the slight distortion in the space around the stone, his enhanced vision easily noticing the small twisting warps like vapors surrounding the gem.
"This is the Time Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones present in the Multiverse and the only one present on this planet. Absolute dominion over time is what this stone grants a sorcerer that is skilled enough to wield it."
Harry was prepared for something like the stone being the result of some ritual after trying to summon a god or an artifact of ancient times, but something that rare and powerful was beyond his expectations! The amount of power the stone must have to control time was probably enough to wipe the whole Solar System from existence.
Eyes wide as saucers, Harry reached out his right hand to grasp the stone. His eyes flickered to the Ancient one, but she made no move to stop him as she beheld him emotionlessly.
With a leap of faith, Harry closed his hand around the stone, green light leaking through the gaps between his fingers. He turned towards the sorcerer to ask if something was supposed to happen, but he was stopped by the green arcs of light racing up his arm from the stone in his hand.
Then, he could see. He could see the birth of humans, the first farms, his own birth in 1981, all the subsequent years at the Dursleys, the basilisk and the fight between himself and Voldemort. By now, Harry could feel the stone sending a veritable tsunami of power through his body and soul even as he watched himself claim the Elder Wand from Voldemort's ruined hand. He saw himself marry his wives, bury their bodies and wage war on the muggles who had killed them before turning on the witches and wizards who had helped them.
He saw himself razing whole armies to the ground in his fury. He saw himself raise the dead themselves to build his own army. He saw himself fighting Loki and the Chitauri, and then he saw himself sitting on a grass field holding hands with a red-headed woman. A moment later, a blonde was kissing him as they stood amidst the destroyed and burning remnants of a building. Before he could see anymore, the power left his body and he felt the stone remove itself from his grasp. He couldn't even open his eyes before he keeled over sideways and blacked out.
"Alright Hank, I can feel a new mutant in London. This one is female and a lot older than most are when they manifest the mutant gene. Her mind...it feels strange. It has impenetrable defenses already. I can surely break them, but the fact that this mutant already has mental fortifications is vexing. I am sure I haven't felt this mind before."
Ororo and Hank listened to Charles as they watched him reach out with his mind throughout the globe with the help of Cerebro, a machine created by Hank which was capable of enhancing a telepath's power and range astronomically by augmenting their brainwaves.
The machine was used by Charles to detect mutants in particularly anti-mutant areas to be rescued or offer them an opportunity to come to the school and learn about and control their powers at his Mansion.
Already they were housing close to thirty mutants, all of which having various abilities ranging from Jean Grey's telekinesis and telepathy, to Kitty Pryde's phase shifting ability to Amarantha Dickens ability to control water.
"Note down the coordinates and call Logan. I think we should head over there now since we don't exactly know what the mutant is capable of and Friends of Humanity have been a lot more active in London over the last few days .Hopefully we won't have a particularly destructive one this time, since the location is over by Buckingham Palace."
Ororo moved out of the room to wake Jean and call Wolverine while Hank typed the coordinates into the computer, sending it directly to the Blackbird. The scientist turned to his boss, only for a snigger to almost burst out of him at the ruined wig lying on Charles' shoulder. The previously brown hair was completely green and blue after a paint balloon had been thrown at him. Now Charles Xavier was going to go on a mutant rescue mission with a ruined face and coat.
"WHAT THE FUCK?"
His mirth forgotten at the normally cordial and calm man's shout, Hank moved closer to him and snapped his fingers in front of Xavier's nose. The unasked question was answered when Xavier spoke.
"Forty-eight minds just disappeared around the mutant in a span of a single second. Whoever this mutant is we have to move fast before she causes more death or is killed—"
Hank, who had just raised his hand to pull out his phone to call up the heavy hitters of the X-Men, was suddenly once again entering the coordinates into the GPS while Ororo was moving out of the room they had been in.
No one thought anything was amiss as Ororo went out to call Logan while Hank and Charles headed towards the hangar.
"An anonymous witness has uploaded a video regarding their rescue from the Chitauri in New York today. The following content may be disturbing for some viewers. Viewer's discretion is advised.
This video was recorded in the Regency Hotel where the aliens held roughly one hundred people hostage and were preparing to kill a young mother and her child. The video was taken from the back of the crowd, but a man wielding swords and wearing armor can be seen easily as he combats the aliens. While messy and entirely ruthless, this man saved lives today and one person even claimed to have seen this individual transform into a giant leopard. This claim hasn't been confirmed. One photo taken by a middle schooler shows this individual fighting both the Hulk and Loki, both of whom are terrifyingly strong and impossible to fight for even other heroes like Captain America and Iron Ma-."
"-ngers, the name given to the group of people who saved the world along with the X-Men, a group composed of super-powered mutants are the hero today and will be remembered always for their selfless actions today. Neither of the groups nor the government has claimed this individual as one of their own."
"Social media is already teeming with thousands of name suggestions for this individual. Currently, the name that is the most liked and shared is Ravager. An apt name considering his power and savage way he fought. If Ravager is watching this, we thank him for all the help and fighting he did today. This is Amanda Walker, the New York Tim-"
"What looked to be a band of mutants was also recorded today, fighting to save the world amongst the other combatants. Their abilities included controlling lightning and telekinesis. Some other ability that was caught on camera included some sort of metal claws and laser eyes. Is this the mutant community proclaiming their willingness to live alongside the rest of humanity? New Yorkers are certainly grateful to these mutants. Tweets and blogs are popping up frequently throughout the world, thanking the mutants who were present along with Ravager and the Avengers. Is this enough for the radicals? Since last month, hate crimes against mutants are rising to an all-time high after a pyrokinetic mutant lost control of his abilities in Sudan and burned down an entire locality. Senator Drake has already made a statement that he supports Mutant rights, believes they can be productive members of society and that they are human too. Already, debates are bei-"
The television was switched off cutting the news anchor off. The remote was then thrown into the screen, breaking both it and the monitor. Alexander Pierce glared at the remains of his television before he downed a shot of scotch. His eyes sought out his tablet on the table, the screen showing Harry Potter, or Ravager as he was being called now, annihilating everything around him. The entire battle was recorded from hundreds of cameras throughout the city as well as Agent Barton and Agent Romanoff's suits. He was able to replay anything on the recording, Hulk's transformation, Thor's collapse over someone named Jane Foster and the clash of gods as they slugged it out in the middle of New York.
As he took one more sip of the scotch, he spoke into the seemingly empty room.
"Ravager is a problem, either he must be converted or be eliminated. Put the weapons and other research on hold for now and sick the departments on finding a way to kill this creature. Fury mustn't get wind of this, even if his R&D is going to be doing the same."
"Yes, Sir!"
Bright light shone into Harry's eyes, making them throb as he cracked them open. He clenched them shut and took a big gulp of air. He reopened them slowly this time, letting his vision adjust. He was still in the same spot he had been knocked out. As he remembered that moment, the images came rushing back through his mind. Each one unfurling in his mind's eyes like a slow-motion recording. Banishing them to the back of his mind, Harry stood up and stretched his back. After a satisfying number of cracking noises, he turned around and walked out of the room, the silence and lack of people in his immediate vicinity putting him on edge.
When he walked out of the door the Ancient One was standing there waiting for him with her hands clasped behind her back and the Time Stone nowhere to be seen. Now that he had come in contact with it once and experienced its power, Harry was able to sense its general location. Currently, it was roughly sixty feet away from him.
Not wasting time, the Ancient one began speaking as she waved a hand towards the exit of the complex.
"You were out for about half-an-hour. The stone's power was overwhelming for me too the first time I came in contact with it. Now when you will use it; however, it won't be so taxing upon your body. When you are out of this building, head over to the cafeteria across the way. There you will have some people to acquaint yourself with. Additionally, for the sake of reality itself, get a handle on your ever-increasing power because even the Time Stone cannot disrupt the natural order indefinitely."
He had reached the doors by the time she finished speaking and he opened the heavy doors with naught but a gesture. Harry walked forwards and just when he had cleared the threshold he turned around halfway. Meeting the eyes of the yellow-robed Sorcerer Harry asked
"You didn't even talk to me about anything other than Time Stone. Was that really all you wanted to discuss?"
With a small smile on her face the Ancient one responded,
"I wanted to discuss many things, but currently, it isn't time for you to be here. When the time for talk does come, I will tell you. Until then, goodbye Ravager."
A confused expression on his face, he asked her what she meant with a raised eyebrow but the doors closing with a heavy thud was the only answer he received. Harry could feel the wards enveloping the sanctum once again, their strength enough to rival Hogwarts' and his ancestral home's own wards at their peak.
Slightly dazed from what he had experienced, Harry turned around. He changed his robes into a simple shirt, jeans and jacket combination and looked around for the cafe he was told to find.
Spotting a 'Cafe des Fleurs' on his right Harry walked over to it, the night sky illuminated by dazzling array of lights from the numerous buildings dotting the capital.
Opening the glass doors of the cafe, he walked inside and a bell tinkled above him. He sat on the farthest seat from the door, the window next to him showing him the complete street outside as well as giving him the prime view of the tastefully decorated cafe that was currently devoid of customers.
"Monsieur, would you like to order something, or are you waiting for someone?"
Turning towards the voice Harry almost choked out a surprised 'Fleur', such was the uncanny resemblance of the waitress with his fellow Triwizard competitor and former lover. Controlling his emotions Harry smiled and shook his head while raising his hand for a handshake.
When the woman pressed her own hand in his, he turned her hand and laid a small kiss on her knuckles. There was a small hint of pinkness in her cheeks from the action as he left her with his fingers lingering slightly over her fingers.
"What's your name, ma'am?"
Her eyebrows rose at the perfect French and a smile formed on her face.
"It is against our policy to flirt with customers."
Smirking at her, Harry conjured a small white rose behind his back and said
"It is a crime to deny such a privilege."
Presenting the white rose to her he stood up and clasped it behind her ear, the white rose looking magnificent in her braided golden-platinum locks.
"Annabelle."
Looking down at her eyes Harry cocked his eyebrow as he removed his hands from her hair and slid them to her waist, the maid uniform looking like a wrapping paper to him.
"My name is Annabelle."
This time her words were barely more than a whisper, but in the silence pervading the cafe, they seemed to be as loud as a shout. His eyes flicked down to her pink lips, silently conveying his intention to her with his eyes alone.
In response she raised her hands to his neck and pulled herself up, both of them tensed and eager for the next action to happen. Their lips were as close as they could be without touching, and they were just about to kiss when the door opened.
The chime of the bell echoed like a thunderclap as Annabelle jumped away from him. A blush spread down her neck at the thought of what she'd almost done with a total stranger.
Now that his focus had wavered, Harry himself felt a little weirded out by the sudden attraction he'd felt for the waitress just now.
Before he could think more on the matter, though, he caught two familiar scents from the battle. His eyes turning towards the newcomers he identified the Wolverine and Jean Grey among the group of four who entered the cafe, disrupting the haze of lust and desire that had befallen him and Annabelle.
He recognised Jean Grey, Storm and Wolverine immediately. Their scents negated any use for their masks or code names. The fourth man, however, was unknown to him. He was undoubtedly the leader judging by the way the other three walked behind him. As they sat down on the table in front of him, Annabelle turned around and walked back inside while the blinds on the windows lowered themselves. Her blank expression was not missed by him. Harry tensed slightly, lightning and curses ready to blast out at a millisecond's notice.
"Miss Grey, Miss Munroe, Mr. Logan and Mr. Xavier, how may I help you?"
With a 'schinkt' sound Logan's claws flashed out, the 14 inch long blades ready to rend anything into mince, while Ororo's hands crackled with electricity and the forks on all the tables levitated into the air and pointed towards him.
His eyes didn't waver in the slightest from Charles Xavier and Harry didn't move despite a small dragon that was conjured directly above Charles Head, the beast's 4-inch long teeth a hair's breadth away from Charles' cranium. Wolverine and the other two turned towards the conjured beast but stopped when Charles shook his head minutely, a motion so small Harry wasn't even sure how he had noticed it.
"Do you really think you all can defeat me? I am not arrogant, but as far as I know there are only two people on this planet now who could beat me and you aren't among them so kindly keep your people leashed."
"Mr. Potter, their response wasn't to incite anger or initiate violence. They were just surprised and a little apprehensive when Jean and Logan recognised you."
Shaking his head Harry dispelled the dragon, his lips twitching upwards when he heard Charles let out a relieved sigh. Turning towards the rest of X-Men Harry raised his eyebrow while coking his head towards the assortment of forks and claws pointed towards him.
"Logan…"
"Fine!"
The next second, the claws and electricity returned to the hands from whence they came and the cutlery gently floated back to its place on the tables. Winking to the glaring Ororo, Harry turned back towards Charles and cocked his eyebrow.
"Mr. Potter, may I ask how you came to know our identities? I go to great lengths to maintain my charges' anonymity and I am sure that these three aren't callous enough to use their real names when they were in New York. Is Telepathy among your abilities or are you simply well informed?"
'Telepathy? Does he think I am a mutant? He is running a school for mutants, does that mean Cerebro registered me as a mutant?'
"No Xavier, my hypothetical mutant powers have nothing to do with me taking information out of SHIELD's agents or Wolverine's mind here. I am, however, capable of using something which closely resembles telepathy. Besides, this guy here was basically asking for it with the way he was staring me down at me."
Logan growled slightly, his feral nature shining thorough with his teeth bared and fists clenched. Unamused, unlike before, Harry rested his left hand in front of the four mutants. They all looked at it reflexively and in front of them it turned mottled grey and black with short but thin thorns growing on it. His fingers turned feline, growing a slight tuft of fur and growing 4 inch long claws. While they were insignificant compared to Logan's own claws, the implied threat was clear to them all, all of them having seen these same claws tear apart everything in their path.
Knowing the feral mutant was sufficiently cowed Harry turned towards Charles and raised his hand-turned-paw into the air. He could feel electricity flaring up from Ororo and a pressure started to emanate from Jean but before they could do anything he turned his hand back and rested it back on the table.
"I know you are here because Cerebro helped you identify me as a mutant. I don't have any power that I know of that can be classified as mutation or enhancement, but if there was a manifested power inside me, then what would I get out of going with you?"
Charles wasn't expecting this when he'd taken off from the mansion to talk to the new mutant. He had barely gotten out of the cab they had taken when Jean and Logan had both tensed up and looked at the cafe with something akin to fear flitting across their minds. He had been perplexed at their actions since he could feel two minds inside the cafe, one of the mutant and the other of a human.
He had turned his wheelchair around to ask them what the matter was, but before he could say anything Jean and Logan had both announced who, or rather what, was waiting for them inside the place along with the mutant they came for. He had frowned when they'd told him that the individuals inside the cafe were of the powerful creature that had fought Loki, Hulk and countless aliens in New York only hours ago. Now that he was thinking about it, could this person really be a mutant with all those powers and abilities, or were they something else?
They had moved apprehensively into the cafe and discovered their intended mutant wrapped up in the arms of 'Ravager.'
After that it was a whirlwind of indirect and implied threats which led to this moment. Harry Potter was powerful enough to escape prosecution from all the mutant-hating groups, and judging by the power he had exhibited today, the government and other mutants would be wary of tangling with him when he revealed what he was capable of.
Making up his mind, Charles spoke,
"Mr. Potter, I know that your mutant abilities make you a formidable foe for even the likes of Magneto and other Omega class mutants. But I am bringing any and all mutants under one roof to provide them in a safe and secure environment to learn and get to know their powers. This way they don't have to worry about persecution from others nor the damage their powers may cause if left unrefined. I also provide for young ones that are estranged from their families. If you were willing, I would like you to accompany me back to my mansion and help us train the mutants there. You have a vast array of mutations, and thus you can easily teach the children about their own powers which might be similar to yours."
Charles was taken aback when Harry burst out laughing in response. His unrestrained laughter echoed in the cafe, and in that moment Harry would have been a picture perfect representation of a stereotypical villain.
"You-You think I am a mutant? Merlin this is hilarious! You thought that I have all of my powers because of some mutation? Fuck no; I don't have a mutation at all Professor. My powers are based on something else entirely. On that note, seeing as I am not a mutant then why did you people come here?"
"Annabelle, the waitress, is a mutant, her powers have only awakened today. If you're wondering how I know, yesterday I couldn't feel her mind at all in the mutant population. Friends of Humanity, a radical organisation protesting against mutants and even killing them in some cases, has grown strong in London and some surrounding towns recently; therefore, I thought it prudent to get Annabelle out of here."
'Probably the reason why I and her both got so into flirting, her power must be something related to emotion or attraction.
"Mr. Potter, why don't you come to our plane for a moment? There, we can see whether you have the X-gene or not."
Harry, who had been getting ready to leave, turned and looked at Charles, evidently contemplating something. Harry nodded at the man and sat down.
"Okay Professor, if I turn out to be a mutant, then I will agree to help the young mutants at your mansion by teaching them. I also need some help since I am a stranger here and need a place to live until I learn more about the world."
'No harm in getting screened up, and if a mutation does show up, then all the better for me. More power never hurt anyone, though I have to get a handle on the power I already have. This Friends of Humanity group sounds too much like the Death Eaters and the Paladins. Why the fuck is prejudice and hate such a common reaction with regard to anything different?'
"Jean, would you call Annabelle back? It is time we head back to the Mansion."
Annabelle strode back into the cafe, a duffel bag hanging from her shoulders. She was still wearing the maid outfit from before.
"Let's go, Professor. The longer we stay here, the greater the chance of someone finding out. I don't hear your sales pitch, I am willing to come to your mansion."
"You seem to have come to terms with being a mutant and relocating to a new country."
Annabelle turned towards Ororo while bringing out her phone and spoke,
"I knew something was going on last night when I was suddenly surrounded by crying people on the subway. This morning the cafe was full of couples giggling like school children and just now Mr. Potter and I were both quite affectionate all of a sudden. Considering that the only common factor is my presence, a known mutant rights supporter and rumored mutant such as you showing up on the doorstep doesn't leave much to wonder about."
Everyone looked at the French girl in surprise and approval and Jean even muttered out a 'Damn' at Annabelle smart deduction.
"Well then, let's not tarry any longer. We have a subway in a few minutes which will take us to the outskirts of the city. Blackbird, that is the plane used by the X-men, is cloaked and waiting near the exit terminal."
"No need for that, just tell me where your plane is, I can teleport us there directly."
"More of your mysterious powers? Seriously, what the fuck did your parents do when you they were expecting to have created you?"
"Nothing special that I know of, but you need to g-"
"Grab each other, we know that," Jean and Ororo spoke at the same time, Logan still silently glaring at him while Annabelle looked on with slight amusement
Snorting, Harry looked into Xavier's eyes and within a second had the location they needed to get to. He held Annabelle by her waist and grabbed Ororo's hand while she held onto Charles' wheelchair. Jean in turn was held on by Logan who was holding Annabelle's left hand. A loud crack and a moment later, they were all standing in a meadow surrounded by woods and creeks.
"Wow! That was much more pleasant than when Kurt teleports us, Congratulations Ravager! You are better at teleporting than someone whose power is teleporting."
Turning towards the telekinetic, Harry just nodded to Jean, his focus on the sleek matte black plane before him. It was made for speed and stealth according to the information he was still withdrawing from Logan's mind. The plane was built by Hank McCoy, someone whose mutant power originally was enhanced physique and stronger muscles in his feet with finger-like appendages instead of toes on them. After an experimental treatment he'd injected him with, his whole body had mutated, giving him enhanced strength and reflexes but lowering his speed greatly and also turning him into a gorilla like blue furred humanoid when he was in the mood to become the Beast.
"You can see the plane?"
Harry turned towards Wolverine and nodded, mentally adding yet another power to the list of Logan's capabilities.
"The cloaking mechanism bends light around the plane and also covers it in a localized electromagnetic field which makes it possible for it to reflect light beyond the visible spectrum and remain invisible to radars, but for people like us who have senses beyond those of normal humans, it isn't difficult to see outside the visible spectrum."
The plane finally came into view for the other four mutants, and a ramp extended down from it. Jean and Charles were the first to get on the plane, and the others followed closely after them. Logan moved towards the pilot seat along with Ororo and started the engine.
Within moments they were flying towards the US with the Blackbird set to Autopilot. Harry, meanwhile, was sitting on a bench installed on the plane's fuselage, and his blood was being sucked into a syringe by the resident telekinetic.
"We have a portable microscope that can be used to show the X-gene to skeptical or distrustful mutants and their families, within 20 seconds we will know if you are a mutant or not. Any questions?"
"Yeah, why did you call me Ravager?"
"It is the name the news-crew gave you in the videos of your fight that were leaked online."
"Ravager sounds messy and brutal. It works fine for me."
Jean's green eyes looked into his own emerald ones, as if she had found something peculiar to dissect. She hooked up the syringe's cartridge into the microscope and shook her head at him. A small frown on her face she spoke,
"You are way too violent; it isn't healthy for children to be around you."
"Am I the one who crushed three Leviathans into paste with just a wave of my hand?"
"Shut up! Your test has been completed. What the hell?"
A bewildered expression on her face Jean turned towards where Charles was reading a book while Logan nursed a beer nearby. Harry extended his senses when he wasn't able to see Ororo but he got the answer when he felt her flying outside the plane, actually keeping pace with it.
"What is the matter Jean is Mr. Potter a mutant?"
"I don't know professor, at the Adenine and Cytosine junction where X-Gene for physical mutation is there is an anomaly which is vaguely like the X-gene but it isn't exactly structured the same. Also, the strands which make up the X-gene for Rogue and you are also present but they are also changed somehow."
"I think I know the reason for the changes in my DNA's protein structure or that reason for the changes in mutation genes."
Annabelle, who had come towards them from where she had been sitting, said
"Who the hell are you? You know about cloaking technology and all the physics stuff and now you're talking like an expert on biology and the human genome."
"I will tell you guys later. For now, I want to go outside."
"Outside? How will you stay inconspicuous when you are a giant eagle in the Atlantic?"
Harry, who had stood up and was walking towards the side entrance, turned back towards Jean and winked at her before he disappeared.
"By the goddesses!"
All three of the X-men ran towards the control panel, Ororo's shriek immediately alerting them to something dangerous out in the air.
"Ororo, what happened? Are you alright?"
"No! I am not alright. First I have Thor showing up who cancels my power as easily as taking candy from a baby, but since he isn't around me I am not affected that much, but this man is using my powers just like I can! Now I have to contend with him for the sky too!"
She was right. When they all looked out they saw that a localized area of the clouds above them had turned black with heavy rain, frost and lightning were all being thrown around by what was unmistakably Harry Potter.
"Logan, I suddenly feel that we should have thought things through before inviting Mr. Potter"
After they watched Harry throw around the biggest lightning bolt they had ever seen outside of a natural thunderstorm towards Ororo, Logan spoke
"Not we, Charles, you invited him. Don't put the blame on me, Bub. I am going for a beer. Tell me when we reach the institute."
The sky above them lit up with thunder momentarily, Charles and Jean looked upwards at the two mutants throwing around their power with abandon. Suddenly Jean asked
"Professor, do you have any idea of what Potter's powers may be?"
"It isn't that easy Jean, despite the fact your and my X-gene arrangements are completely different, you still have telepathy; therefore, I can't say anything without Mr. Potter showing us his powers."
"And what of Annabelle here?"
Charles turned to look at the aforementioned girl, only to find her blue eyes trained upon him and Jean. Smiling reassuringly in a way he had perfected over the years, Charles said,
"She seems like an empath and a short-range telepath. "That sounds like an awesome power."
Jean chuckled and said, "I don't even know how many empaths I have seen who say that their power's suck."
Annabelle raised an eyebrow and said
"They don't understand that lives can be saved when you are able to calm down or anger the right person at the right time?"
Charles and Jean both shook their heads, remembering the amount of mutants that had refused to come to the mansion, only for their faces to show up in the obituaries.
"Do you think he is an Omega-level mutant like Ororo or yourself? Potter, I mean"
Charles was taken aback by the question, but took little time to answer given what he had seen today.
"I don't know whether he is an Omega class mutant or not, but an Omega class mutant is defined as one whose abilities are powerful and destructive enough to affect the world-over. I am able to encompass half of America easily, fully if I'm stretching myself to my limits without Cerebro, and Ororo's weather powers can cause whole ecosystems and biospheres to collapse if used without discrimination. That is the reason she tries to remain aloof most of the time, so that her emotions don't affect the surrounding weather patterns too much for it to be a hassle to repair. Mr. .Potter already is measuring up to her on her home turf, so to speak... Whatever his mysterious power is, he matched up with Loki, blows for blow, and even incapacitated him enough for Thor to land a decisive blow. 'And you are also reaching that benchmark Jean, fighting and lifting tonnes of weight in combat and then being up on your feet within hours is not an easy task. I only know one mutant capable of that feat, and he is most assuredly Omega level.'
One thing I wanted to make clear. This is fanfiction, therefore I will follow movies and comics both but I will alter timelines and events slightly or sometimes majorly according to my needs. Also, review and speculate upon Harry's mutant power, and we will see who has the right idea.
