Chapter 11

Hi all sorry for the wait. Truth is when I got this chapter down some time ago but doing the rewriting I like when from 100% focus to dead in the water. I mean dead like why I was even trying lol. But I am back, and the next chapter is ready.

Ok let's face it that last poll was a waste of time. I mean really, I should have known the answer before I even asked lol. So ya Artemis is going to have a twin and it will most likely be one that she loves to hate.

Now I want you all to remember toss out ideas if I like them, I will put them up as a poll. I really what this story to be not only about me but I what you to feel like you had a hand in it. That is why the next poll is should I introduce the dragon Zorah Magdaros from Monster Hunter. Now I was never a big fan of Monster Hunter, but you got to give them credit for coming up with some bad ass monsters. Now if I add him downsize him or her not depending on how I decide to us him or her.

With that lets move on to Q&A

Issei ODR that was a thought it really was. But I want to start moving away from them taking direct action for now.

enumeaelish666 I am so putting in more Viking names in there. other than that I am not sure.

monkey kix ass we will see my friend we will see

s.k.f.f.f I am happy you like it so far. I really wish to show Lelouch and CC how I would picture them 500 plus years later. You don't get that old without some changes. In fact, I would believe you would be kind of fucked up in a way. I mean they are definitely not who they were.

DirtyCat I am so happy to hear you understand. I mean really people just don't seem to get you can't jump forward so much without going over what happen before.

x-05-x I didn't mean for it to come off that way, but I do kind of like it and it helps my writing as well.

Glacyeel already gave you idea a shout out and love it. I mean really love it. There are so many things I can do with that dragon. Any more ideas toss them out even if this one doesn't win in the poll.

- Minas Tirith capital city of the Kingdom of Numenor 30AMH or 57BC-

Failure, that was what he was a complete and utter failure. How could he be so foolish as to believe that there was ever going to be a peaceful resolution to all this. Narbo knew well and good how much Oro hated the Rohirrim seeing as his feeling towards them were much the same, but still he closed his eyes and blindly believed it would never go this far. That somehow in some way Oro would back down in the end and everything would just settle down sooner or later. And look at what that type of thinking had gotten him. Vaes Dothrak attacked, half the city burned down, thousands dead do to the fires and Haggo poisoned by one of the rebel kings of power. And that was far from the worst news he had gotten over the last couple of days.

To add on to his problems two armies from both the east and the south were marching across the border burning and looting the outlying towns and villages. So many people were dying that the numbers had to be in the tens of thousands by now. How could he be such a fool as to let his idiotic sympathies get in the way of his better sense. This was his fault and that angered him as well as sadden him deeply. Yet he would not let these feelings cloud his judgement again. He was the Shogun and had a responsibility to the people of this kingdom and he would avenge those already lost. That was why he sent Ilin to Vaes Dothrak. He would need Haggo if he was to turn this around before more lives were lost. Well him and another far more powerful man.

Hearing a knock on his office door Narbo says, "Come in Steinporr."

Walking in a paler but still cocky looking Steinporr walks into the room. "You called for me Shogun?"

"Yes Steinporr. I have a task for you that will most likely end in your death but burn your name into history for all time." Narbo says.

Not needing to hear anymore Steinporr just gets a bloodthirsty smile on his face and says, "What do you need me to do."

-Vaes Dothrak-

Throwing a chair against a wall in anger and then flipping the main table in the hall Attila paces around the room in a fury. So angry is he that he doesn't even noticed that the men in the room with him have backed up quite a bit in fear of him. They worried that he would lash out violently towards them and were right in that thinking as he would if he wasn't too busy thinking about his grandfather. Lady Ilin had been in his grandfather's room for hours now and still neither him nor her have shown back up. Which worried him greatly. It was a well-known fact that Lady Ilin wasn't as powerful as her predecessor and so there was no guarantee she could save him.

It was that fact that made him angry the most. Not at Lady Ilin but at himself for his own carelessness that got his grandfather in this position in the first place. If he had not been so reckless, so stupid and overeager this would never have happened. He thought himself ready, he had the best training from the greatest warriors and general in the known world. He even had private lessons with Tenno-sama who to be quite frank was a god of war given human flesh. But yet he clearly wasn't ready, he wasn't even close. He was told over and over again what could happen if he became too bloodthirsty. Yet in that moment when he was cutting down man after man, he could think of nothing but killing who ever stood in front of him. Like a rabid dog who only knew how to attack.

"AWWWWWWW," Attila yells out and slams his fist into a small table that he had yet to destroy.

"Attila that is enough." The voice of his mother is heard yelling out to him.

Turning towards her Attila looks at his mother who is looking at him with disappointment in her eyes.

"Mother what are you doing up? You should be in bed." Attila says as he watches his pale faced mother walk towards him. She had just given birth to his baby brother a few days before the attack and had lost a lot of blood in the process. So, she wasn't in any shape to be up and about.

"And how pry tell me am I to sleep with all this noise you are making?" She asks in anger.

Loving his mother with all his heart he is taken aback at seeing and hearing how angry she is at him. It makes him feel so small, just like when he was a child and he got caught playing with the daggers he found in the hall one day. "I…I am sorry mother for waking you."

"Your fucking right you are sorry. What would you have done if you had woken you baby brother?" She asks in a very threatening way.

Not knowing what to say he wisely keeps his mouth shut.

Seeing that her son isn't going to say anything more Sazhi goes and sits down in one of the few chairs that have survived her son's wrath. "Come sit next to me Attila."

Pacing around a bit like he was going to disobey her at first Attila reluctantly goes and sits down next to her. When he does, she takes his hand in hers and looks at it. It is busted and riddled with wooden splinters, but luckily not broken.

"Foolish boy. What would you have done if you had broken your hand? Its bad enough that Lady Ilin had to come and try to heal your grandfather because of a bunch of traitors but having her heal your hand because of your own idiocy would be shameful." She scolds him.

"I am sorry mother. I am just so…so angry." Attila says to her feeling his rage return in full.

Her eyes go soft and she says, "I know my boy. I know, but you can not let that anger cloud your mind. Especially if your going to do this to yourself. Lady Ilin is here on the Shogun's orders not ours. So, she has no obligation to heal you."

"I know mother." Attila says to her.

Seeing her son's free hand make a fist in anger she tries to lighten the mood. "You know if you did break your hand and Lady Ilin refused to heal them you would have to go ask Princess Hela for help. What do you think would happen than?"

Hearing the name of his best friend Attila smiles but at the same time groans out, "She would help me but only after making me do something that would no doubt make me wish to hide in a hole for the rest of my life. And then she would lord it over me for the rest of my life."

"That's right my son. You don't want to have to wear that polka dotted armor, again do you?" She teases him.

His face quickly goes red in embarrassment instead of anger at the memory of that hideous looking piece of shit. He didn't know how, and he didn't know who but some how Hela had found someone willing to put every known color in existence on some armor she had custom made for him a couple of years ago. It was so ugly that just the thought of it made him what to throw up. Add in the fact that he had to wear it for a full week as a way of apologizing to her for braking one of her favorite teacups and you had a nightmare that he could never hope to forget. So yes, he really didn't wish to go to her for a favor.

Seeing that her son has now calmed down Sazhi says, "Everything will be alright my son. You will see. Your grandfather is too strong to die from something like this, and let's not forget he still has to train your little brother in the art of being a warrior like he has been doing with you."

Giving his mother a weak but hopeful smile Attila says, "I hope so mother. I hope so."

And like his hopes have come true he hears the doors that lead to his grandfather's room open and sees him walking though them. He looks pale and sickly but very much alive.

Eyeing the room carefully Haggo spots his grandson and says in as strong an voice as he can,"Attila come here."

Standing up with as much courage as he can muster Attila walks towards his grandfather fully expecting to be scolded for his recklessness but instead his grandfather says,"You will help me into my armor."

"Grandfather? Father?" Both Attila and his mother say at the same time not understanding what it is that he is saying.

Seeing the confusion on their faces Haggo says,"As Lady Ilin was healing me Yahan arrived with a message from the Shogun. If Lady Ilin was able to save my life, then I was immediately ordered out of retirement and put back in command of the 1st Army. With the orders to crush the enemy invaders from the west." Haggo states.

"But father you are clearly not fully healed yet." Sazhi says to him in a worried voice.

"I am healed enough." Haggo says back to her in anger.

Knowing her father as well as she does Sazhi understands what he is saying with those few words. Yes, he was still sick and yes, he should not go lead the 1st army, but he would not let Oro get away with this attack. Or perhaps it was more like her father couldn't let him get away with it. His pride was to great and warriors' blood was too strong to allow it. That is why she just bows her head to her father and says nothing more.

"Attila follow." Haggo commands and makes his way towards the room where he keeps his armor.

Once he enters the room, he walks up to the green armor he had not worn sense his triumph and smiles. He had never thought the day would come were he would get to wear this again. Perhaps he should be thanking Oro for turning out to be the diseased cunt that he was. If it was not for his betrayal, he would have died in bed like an old man. Now however he gets to die on his horse like a warrior. It almost made up for the fact that he wouldn't be able to keep his promise of removing Oro's ugly head from his shoulders himself.

"Attila pay close attention to me now. This is how a warrior meets his fate. Not with fear in his heart but with a smile on his face and a song in his heart." Haggo says as he strips off his clothes and starts to get ready.

As for Attila he simply says, "Yes grandfather."

-A few weeks later-

Out on the open plains around 50 miles or so away from the Steel Road Steinporr watches as the combined enemy army of some 75,000-men move towards him and the 2nd army. They were vastly outnumbered to the point that under normal conditions even he wasn't sure if they could win in a battle against them. Especially seeing as he could just make out the banner of what was left of the traitor kings and queens of power that Oro had under him. If they were not here than perhaps, he could pull off a victory without dying in the process, but they were so their chances of victory were nonexistent. Well under normal circumstances that was. Sadly, for them today was the day he was going to die and the way he was going to do it was not going to be to their liking. The surprise on their faces when they see what it is, he is going to do just made him smile so widely he feels like his face is going to split in half.

"You seem to be in a good mood for someone who is going to die milord." A man from Steinporr's side says to him.

Looking over and spotting General Gahaelor the overall commander of the 2nd army riding next to him Steinporr takes a moment to think on him. Throughout his life Steinporr could honestly say he didn't remember the names or faces of that many people. Most were simply to weak to bother remembering but this man was slightly different. After all he had taken an army that even he had doubted would be worth anything and turned them into what the people were now calling the Wall of the Southern Border.

The man's ability in defensive strategy and tactics were so great that while the 2nd army never won a great victory, they had never lost one or that many men in battle before either. That was the least of his accomplishments, however. His greatest achievement was that he had made the south of the kingdom the safest place to live outside of the capitol. Well that was till this invasion anyways.

"Of course, I am General Gahaelor. Today is the perfect day to bid my farewell to the world." Steinporr says with a smile.

Hearing the great warrior Steinporr say something like that isn't a surprise for Gahaelor. He hadn't talked with the man that many times over the years, but a person didn't need to in order to get a feel for the man. He wasn't the type to fear death but the type to go looking for it instead. A warrior who cared only to be known as the strongest warrior of all time. What better way to do that than with what he was about to do today? Even if it cost him his life.

"Then I guess you should get started then Lord Steinporr." General Gahaelor says to him.

"With pleasure General Gahaelor. With pleasure." Steinporr says as he gets off his horse and starts to walk towards the enemy.

Before he can get to far away however General Gahaelor feels he must ask him one last thing, "Lord Steinporr is there anything I should tell your son? After all your never see the boy again in this life."

At the man's question Steinporr stops walking for just a moment before he says, "Tell him not do dear join me till he makes a name for himself. If he does then I will toss his sorry ass into the abyss were all weakly should go."

On the other side of the battlefield behind the army 75,000-men of his loose confederation of allies Oro smiled as he rode forward. He had waited a long time for his revenge on the Dothraki and those who had deny him it. And today he would get just a taste of it when he crushed the ex-slave army. He was fully confident of victory even though he could see the banner of Steinporr among the enemy army. He had thought that sending 50 kings and queens of power to kill him would have been enough, but it would seem that he was mistaken. Yet it mattered little for even Steinporr couldn't beat an army of 75,000 which also included the rest of the kings and queens who sided with him. So, with victory all but assured he smiled thinking it was only a matter of time before he deposed his ex-rulers and became the Tenno-sama of the Kingdom of Numenor

"King Oro, I can see the banner of the King of Skyfire up ahead. I thought you said he would be dealt with before hand." Eklahl mo Dundaq asks in anger.

Looking at his ally Oro says, "Do not worry Wise Master Eklahl. I had half expected my attempt to kill him to fail and had a plan ready just in case."

It was a lie of course. Oro had fully expected Steinporr to have died in the assassination attempt, but he wasn't about to say that. This alliance was very fragile from the get-go and any admittance of failure would be seen as weakness. And if these slavers thought him weak, they would betray him in a heartbeat.

"Oh, and what plan is this King Oro?" Eklahl asks still in anger.

Sneering at the man Oro says, "It is simple we simply avoid fighting him straight up. Steinporr won't be bested easily but he is no commander of men. So long as we don't fight him straight up and keep him busy without sustaining too many losses we will win."

"That is easier said than done King Oro. The man's power over skyfire is well known and makes him more than dangerous enough that he could cause heavy casualties by simply tossing his power around." Irriphos Ormohrin says to him.

"If this was 3 or 4 years ago, I would agree with you Great Father Irriphos. But what you don't know is that Steinporr is far weaker than you think." Oro says to the men around him.

"How so?" Irriphos asks.

"Each time Steinporr uses his power he comes closer and closer to death. And unless I missed my guess, he would have had to use it a lot in order to kill off the kings and queens of power I sent to kill him." Oro says to him.

"Ah I see, you wish to make him use it even more so he would die in this battle. A somewhat good plan but we will still lose a lot of men." Eklahl says a bit calmer now.

"Yes, but they can be replaced." Oro says to him.

"My King, Steinporr is on the move." Says one of his fellow kings of power and the only one who was not in the main body of the army.

"So, it's time for the battle to begin. Good let's get his over with. Send the men forward and remember to avoid Steinporr as much as possible." Oro says.

"No, my king you miss understand. It's just Steinporr. He is walking towards us alone." The man says to Oro.

"What?" Oro asks.

"It's about time I was getting tired of hearing your bullshit." A voice says at Oro's side and when he looks over, he sees Zazhal zo Kallhuhl than a club smashing into his face knocking him out.

As this is happening all of the personal guards of the coalition leaders are killed off by Zazhal's Unsullied bodyguards. It was pathetically easy to do so as they were all to focused on the enemy in front of them to notice how he had moved his slaves in to position to do so. Even the so-called king of power is helpless to stop the Unsullied from killing all the guards.

"Zazhal what is the meaning of this." Eklahl yells out.

Looking over at Eklahl, Zazhal says, "Hmmm I thought it would be clear what I am doing Eklahl. I am betraying you all."

"But why? You pushed for this war more than any of us. You know what kind of threat the dragons are to us." Byrthirtde Gan asks.

Hearing this Zazhal starts to laugh, "Threat? Oh, you poor shortsighted idiots."

-Flashback a year ago-

Drinking from a wine cup as he read the latest message, he had gotten from Oro of the Kingdom of Numenor, Zazhal had to stop himself from tossing it into the fire. Did this Oro really think he would be willing to help him overthrow the rulers of the Kingdom of Numenor in exchange for gold he did not have and slaves he could not give. Oro may have assured him that victory was possible, and he would get his gold and slaves upon victory. But Zazhal was not a gambling man and that is what he would be if he accepted Oro's offer.

His family had always been very practical when it came to how they went about things and was one of the reasons why they had survived for so long. While the other great families of the past had rebelled time and time again against the Valyrian Freehold when it was still ruling the city his family had quickly accepted the status quo. Due to that acceptance while everyone else fell around them his family survived and prospered. And now that the Valyrians were gone due to the Doom they were the most powerful. A position he was not willing to give up on a gamble that he didn't believe would work out.

"Father your still up?" Zazhal's son Grerden asks from across the room.

Looking up at his son Zazhal answers, "Yes son just finishing up some business."

Spotting the letter with the seal of the Dirt King Oro, Grerden says, "Ah the dirt king has sent you another messaged I see."

"That he has." Zazhal says to him.

"What has to stupid cunt offered you this time?" Grerden asks.

"Same as before, gold, slaves and other things he can not give." Zazhal says to his son.

Picking up a glass of wine that was on a table Grerden asks, "Father why don't you just tell that fucking idiot no already?"

Looking at his son Zazhal says, "Because I have not yet decided what to do."

Spitting out his wine Grerden just stares at his father, "Father you cannot honestly be thinking of helping that man. I know the rulers of Numenor are a threat to us, but it would be foolhardy to poke the dragon."

"I know that son, but while it is foolhardy for Oro and whoever helps him. It could be a wonderful opportunity for us." Zazhal says to his son.

"How so father?" Grerden asks.

"I am not sure yet, but perhaps if we can contact these rulers, we can cut a deal of some kind. A deal that doesn't end with our death." Zazhal says to his son then thinks on it.

His son does the same thing. As it stood it wouldn't be good to piss off the Kingdom of Numenor and not only because they had dragons and had an army that was over 3 times the size of their own but also because they were the ones they imported most of their food from. Over a 3rd of the food the cities of Slaver's Bay imported now came from Numenor and at prices they could easily afford. More food meant more slaves they could train and the more slaves they could train the more money they could make and spend on food. It was a mutually beneficial coexistence that neither he nor his father wished to see go away. And while they were slowly outlawing slavery in their own lands it didn't affect them in the least. All of that would change very quickly if other masters of the bay chose to side with Oro. The question was how to avoid paying the price for other people's stupidity?

"Perhaps I can help you?" A feminine voice is heard saying from the shadows.

Both men are startled from hearing said voice quickly turn around and spot Yahan just standing there like she had been the whole time.

"Guards!" Zazhal calls out.

"That will do no good Good Master Zazhal zo Kallhuhl. Your inept are already dead." Yahan says as she thinks on the Unsullied, she had just killed. She didn't feel pity for them seeing as her ability to feel pity had long sense died away but instead found them quite disappointing. The Unsullied had quickly developed a reputation as the best soldiers in Slaver's Bay after the defeat of the last real Kaul Temmo by the Three Thousand of Qohor and they probably were. But to her they were incredibly flawed.

Having had their humanity and independent thought process beaten out of them may have made them good soldiers but there lied the problem. They had no idea how to act without orders or what to do when something happen outside of the orders they were given. All an enemy had to do to render them useless was kill off who ever it was that was commanding them, separate them from the command chain or just find the weakness in the orders they are given and exploit it. Like she did when she started killing the guards from the inside of the palace to the outside of it. Even when they heard their fellow guards choking on their own blood they never turned around because they simply were not allowed to by their master's orders.

Seeing that indeed no guards were coming Grerden picks up a dagger that was on a table to defend himself but Yahan just laughs at him. It is a mocking and cold laughter that sets both men on edge.

"Come now boy put that dagger down before you hurt your soft little hands. If I wanted to kill you, I would have done so already." Yahan mocks.

Looking to his father Grerden sees his father nod his head to do as she has told him. When he does Zazhal says, "Who are you woman, and what do you want?"

Stepping forward only a bit and giving a small bow Yahan says, "My name is Yahan the Queen of Shadows and I have come her to deliver this scroll from my masters."

Seeing her pull out a scroll from inside the cape she is wearing and holding it out towards them he nods to his son to go and get the scroll and bring it to him. His son is hesitant at first but quickly moves to grab it and take it to his father. With it now in his hands Zazhal immediately sees it the scroll bares the mark of the rulers of Numenor. Opening it up he reads the scroll and his eyes open widely, and he looks up at her with an unbelieving look.

Seeing this look on his father's face Grerden asks, "What is it father? What does the scroll say?"

Looking at his son Zazhal holds out the scroll for him to take and says, "It is a message from the king of Numenor. He knows about Oro's plan and is offering all of Astapor clemency in exchange for helping to bring the man down and pay a small tribute to the kingdom. He is even offering to not interfere if we wish to invade what is left of the other cities of the bay when they are done with them."

Taking the scroll from his father Grerden reads this as his father talks. As he listens, he reads exactly what his father is saying is more or less correct and is a little frighten. While he knew Oro's desire to overthrow the rulers of Numenor was foolhardy, but he did believe they didn't know about the planned treachery. It would seem they were all wrong on that account and the rulers of Numenor were most likely already prepared for it. And if they were the only question was why were they offering this to his father?

It was a question his father had thankfully asked. "Why is your king offering this to me. If he knows about his own vassal's treachery than surely, he has already prepared to deal with it."

"I apologize Good Master Zazhal." Yahan says to him.

"And why not?" He asks in anger.

"Because I do not know." Yahan says to him.

This just confuses Zazhal and it shows on his face so to clarify what she means Yahan adds, "It is not my place to question my rulers Good Master Zazhal. All I know is they despise your kind but are willing to offer you this deal. For what reason? Your guess is as good as mind. Maybe they wish to keep the status que. After all the slave cities buy a lot of food from the kingdom or maybe they are doing it on a whim. Whatever the reason does it really matter?"

Hearing her say this does not help lessen Zazhal's or his son's confusion, but her question does have a point. Did it really matter why they were giving him this opportunity? This letter alone had already proven his worst fears and if his family was to survive taking this deal was the best option.

"Tell your rulers they have a deal. Just ask them what it is I need to do, and it shall be done." Zazhal says to her.

"Very well." Yahan says to him and bows before returning to the shadows.

-End flashback-

"What do you mean shortsighted?" Eklahl asks

Giving the man a look like he was the biggest idiot in the world Zazhal says, "Think for a moment Eklahl, think. Do you really believe that the creatures who created a different type of dragon from the Valyrias wouldn't be able to wake them if needed?"

"So, because you're willing to cower under their heel you betrayed us." Eklahl yells.

"Am I cowering under their heel because I am not willing to commit suicide against a far greater power then myself. Perhaps, but better a coward who lives to become a king then a dead brave fool." Zazhai says.

"King?" Eklahl says.

"That is right Eklahl king. King of all Slavers Bay in exchange for all your lives and a yearly tribute. A good deal if there ever was one." Zazhai says smugly.

"Zazhai you son of a…" Eklahi is about to yell out but then Zazhai gives the signal to kill everyone but Oro. What follows is the cries of dying men who are now begging to live but are only met with the tip of a spear.

Once everyone around him was dead Zazhai gives the order for all their heads to be cut off so he has proof that he lived up to his end of the bargain. Then he has Oro tied to the back of his horse so as to deliver him to those he had betrayed. As soon as Oro was tied on Zazhai quickly started to flee and he was all too happy to be away from the battlefield for no sooner did he ride off than did he hear the sounds of thunder and lightning overhead.

Back on the battlefield Steinporr kept walking towards the enemy army who was making its own way towards him. Towards their doom he thought with a small laugh as he heard the thunder overhead. He had never once before pushed his powers to the limits of what they were truly capable of seeing as it would only lead to a quick death, but now that he was dying anyways, he was happy he got this chance. Soon he would see what happened once he unleashed it and though it would only be for a moment it should be quite the show. But right before he does, he a face flashes in his mind. It is not son Attila or his newly born son Yesugei but of his wife Sazhi.

He never really knew if he loved the women or not seeing as he married her for her fierce personality. But was that love? He didn't know till just this moment. "Hahaha well what do you know I do love you after Sazhi. I see you on the other side."

Are the last words he says before he brings down hell on the enemy army. The scene that played out was what those who witnessed it would call hell on earth. Lightning tore up the ground, the grass caught on fire and everywhere on the battlefield there was fear. Even the Unsullied who were noted to be fearless found that part of their basic animal instinct alive and well as they tried a ill attempt to flee the battlefield. Only they would find there was nowhere to feel flee for the lightning would continue to fall on them for hours after Steinporr had passed away.

-Rohan-

With half closed eyes and skin that was sickly pale Haggo look like a dead man on a horse. It was amazing to the men of the 1st Army that he was not only able to make it to their main camp alive but also to the battlefield this day. A lesser man would have killed over by now in their minds but their ex-kaul was a true warrior and they could feel his desire to die like one. That was why not a single man dared to object to him once more leading them into battle.

As for Haggo himself he was just about to close his eyes for the last time when he heard a laughter on the wind. Opening his eyes at the sound he says, "So you have won after all Steinporr. I guess I really shouldn't be surprised."

His voice being too low to hear clearly Lavakho who was right by his side asks, "You say something my Khal?"

Laughing a little bit at hearing his old bloodrider call him by a title that was no longer to be used he says, "I am not a khal anymore my old friend."

"Perhaps not but you are still blood of my blood." Lavakho says with a strong voice.

Laughing some more Haggo says, "That I am Lavakho, as you are blood of my blood as well."

Pausing for but a moment Haggo looks up at the sky and continues speaking, "So many of our brothers have gone before us to ride in the night sky. Now it is my time to join them and I am sure our rulers will not mind me going to them as a kaul."

Lavakho just nods his head at this then turns and looks back at the approaching enemy army. A combined force of over 50,000-men from the Free Cities and the Kingdom of Sarnor. They would make a fine sacrifice to give the man who had brought their people to new heights. Is what he is thinking as he watches his Kaul ride in front of them one last time.

Once he is in front of them all Haggo looks at the faces of the men of the 1st Army. Most of the faces he saw belonged to young Rohirrim men who were the next generation of the 1st Army of Numenor who would have to carry on the legacy of the first. While only 1567 of the 30,000-men army was from his old khalasar from before he had surrendered to their rulers. It was almost funny how before he never thought any of them would see old age but now those who were still alive were all gray haired and wrinkled with age, "Men of Rohan there are no words that exist that can say what it is that I am feeling right now. To know that as weak as I am now that you would all still ride with me in to battle one last time shows how you all have changed into something greater than what you were."

The men roar in pride at hearing this. It is a roar that shakes the very ground and can be heard clear across the battlefield.

"But today I ask of you to toss away the new ways for just today and ride with me one last time. Ride with me as your kaul and you as my khalasar. Let today be known as the last charge of the Kaul Haggo and his khalasar." He yells out then turns around and starts to charge towards the enemy.

Right behind him follows 30,000 crazed warriors yelling out a war cry that filled the enemy army with dread. They had of course heard of the Dothraki who turned their back on their culture in order to don black armored with a red blood eye on the chest plate and the words "we are death, the destroyer of worlds". But they hadn't believed it till just now when the mass of black armored men started to charge towards them. The sellswords men who made up a good portion of the enemy army quickly found their hearts fill with panic and drop their pikes to the ground in order to flee the battle. But there would be no escape this day as the horde of horsemen split off into three well organized groups and quickly encircled them. Then like they are of one body they strike on all three sides of the quickly deteriorating enemy army.

Blood, guts and the screams of dying men is what follows. What had started out as a campaign that was promised to be a quick victory followed by lots of loot to go around turns in a campaign of despair for the men of the Free Cities. By the end of the day the losses of the enemy army would be near total and the few who would live would find themselves at the unmerciful hands of the 1st Army of Numenor.

-Over the Yunkai and Meereen-

If anyone thought the nightmare for the coalition would end with the lost battles around the Kingdom of Numenor than they would be sadly mistaken. For over the free cities of Yunkai and Meereen that night two roars from different dragons were heard. As both masters and slaves ran outside to see what was going on, they see creatures that had not been seen over their heads in over 40 years and scream in panic.

For Yunkai they saw the black serpent dragon Smaug with its horned head and spiked body flying down towards them with its mouth open. In its mouth anyone who was not already running in terror saw a mix of red and blue dragon fire gathering in its mouth before it unleashed it on the city. The fire was so hot that it melted the stone buildings and burned people to ashes. Those who were unlucky enough to not be burnt to death in a near instant would suffer a far worse fate, however. For Smaug's dragon fire was so potent that no amount of water could put out the flames and it would continue to burn for two days after there was nothing left to burn.

Yet Yunkai would get off easy compared to Meereen for Smaug the Golden had only done a single pass by burning before flying away. Only a little over one fourth of the city would be lost to the fire before it was all over. Why was that? Well Smaug the Golden one simply didn't feel like burning it completely down. His family had not been hurt and most of the traitors would be dead by the hands of his mother's and father's army. As far as he was concerned everything that had happen was little more than a bunch of lesser beings throwing a fit because they were not on top. It was barely worth paying attention to non the less leaving his treasure horde for. Yet his mother and father told him to burn the city and so he did, but they never told him how much. So, with the job done he made his way back home to go back to sleep once more.

Jörmungandr on the other had was far less uncaring then his little brother. Just the thought that someone would dare to even think about hurting his family was enough to anger him but to find out someone had actually tried threw him in a rage. He wanted to burn down all of Essos for this crime but sadly his father and mother would not let him. They had other plans for the rest of Essos so he would have to settle for just Meeree. But if that was all he was going to get than he would make it suffer for taking part in this crime and he knew exactly were to start.

The so-called Great Masters of the City were immensely proud of the pyramids and that is why Jörmungandr flew straight towards the biggest one. Opening his jaws just like that of a serpent he devoured as much of the top portion of the pyramid as he could then bit down on it hard. The masters and slaves who were down below could hear the stone cracking under the jaws of the great dragon and could only watch on helplessly as it ripped the top of the pyramid off. It was the most horrifying site they had ever seen till the dragon tossed the top of the pyramid it to the city below crushing many below.

Yet Jörmungandr was far from done. Moving his body around the pyramid he swung its body at one of the smaller pyramids that was close by. His massive bulk and strong scales were to much for the stone of the pyramid to take and it buckled under it. Stone for a moment flew through the night sky and then landed on the helpless people below killing many.

Yet Jörmungandr was far from done as he moved his huge bulk of a body around the now broken pyramid and lined himself up with the one of the smaller ones and whipping his tail around striking it with all its wright. The smaller pyramid despite its strong build did nothing to hold up to the write of the dragon as once more stone flew into the city killing many. He would repeat this action on every smaller pyramid till not a one stood and then would move on to burning the city with his fire.

His brother Smaug loved to steal lines from their father and mother's stories so he told everyone his teeth are swords, his claws spears, the shock of his tail a thunderbolt, his wings a hurricane, and his breath death. But compared to himself his brother was weak and the city of Meereen learned with each passing second why he was the greater dragon. Especially once he released his dragon fire on the city which burned so hot and bright that it would not go out for weeks on end.

By the time he had left the city that night the destruction he had caused was near complete. While Yunkai suffered only one fourth of its city and population lost Meereen suffered well over a 3rd. By the time the final count would be made the city that had survived the Valyrian Freehold mostly intact wouldn't be able to claim the same thing after the World Serpent.

-Weeks later outside of New Gornath-

It had been weeks since the army of the rebel city had seen its army march off with its allies to battle, and worry was on everyone's mind. While King Oro had assured them of victory it had been weeks since they had last heard from the army. Everyone in the city had truly believed that justice was on their side and that with the number of king's and queens of power who joined them that it was only a matter of time till they tossed down their old liar rulers and their horse fucker warriors. But as the days turn to weeks and no word came of a great victory doubt took hold of them. Doubts that would be proven this day as the warning horns sounded out around the city. The One Eye flag of the army of Numenor had been spotted on the horizon and with it 25,000-men of the 2nd Army.

Every man on the wall of the city knew what this meant. The coalition had failed and now the army was here to exact vengeance on them for their act of betrayal against the Kingdom of Numenor. The guards on the wall who were little more than untrained civilians in cheaply made armor couldn't understand how their kings and queens of power had lost. Yet the fact remained that they had. For if they hadn't then the 2nd army wouldn't be here. Fear immediately gripped their hearts and forgetting their orders they opened the gates of the city hoping to be shown mercy.

It was mercy that General Gahaelor would have gladly given if he could, but his order were clear as day. No mercy was to be given to the rebels and all in the city were to be put to death. It didn't matter if you where man, woman or child. All were to die this day and it was with a heavy heart that he gave the order for the 2nd Army to move forward.

Rivers of blood would fill the streets that day. The begging of mother's asking for their children to be spared could be heard on the wind. As could the screams of death that met those same women and children. No rape or looting took place in New Gornath, only the slaughter of the guilty and innocent alike. It was a nightmare that would haunt General Gahaelor and many others of the 2nd Army for the rest of their days.

-Back in Minas Tirith

Sitting down in his private office inside the Shogunate Castle, Narbo waited for word to come in about New Gornath. Thanks to Yahan's powers he already knew about Haggo's and Steinporr's victory along with the burning of Yunkai and the destruction of Meereen by the dragons. Now all he had to do was wait, wait for the report on the murders of the 30,000 residence of the city of New Gornath. It was with a heavy heart that he had given that order, but it was one that needed to be given. He had already cost the lives of many of the kingdom's civilians due to his inactions. If he wished to prevent any more rebellions or attacks on the kingdom in the years to come, he needs to make an example out of them.

"Shogun Narbo." The voice of a woman says to him out of nowhere.

Knowing who that voice belongs to already Narbo just says, "What is it Lady Yahan?"

"The task is complete Shogun. All 30,000 people of the city of New Goranth have been put to the sword without a single survivor." She says to him in a cold voice.

"Thank you Lady Yahan. You may go now." Narbo says in a dead voice and still never looks up knowing she is already gone.

Once more alone in his office Narbo stands up and walks to a cabinet at the side of the room. Opening it up he takes out three wooden boxes and goes to sit down in a Seiza position. Opening up the first box he takes out an ink block, brush and single piece of paper. Then quickly writes a letter to his oldest son before rolling it up and sealing it with his son's name on.

When that is done, he takes the 2nd box and opens it up. Inside is a simple white sake bottle and cup. Pouring himself a drink he raises the cup in the air before drowning it and says, "To the dead."

Now with the taste of good sake on his lips he takes the last box and opens it up. Reaching inside the box he takes out a tanto sheathed inside a simple wooden scabbard. Placing it down in front of him he undoes the top part of his robe exposing his stomach and chest. Then picking back up the tanto he unsheathes the blade and with tears in his eyes he stabs it into his belly and draws it across his stomach ending the life of Shogun Narbo. A man who only wanted to bring peace but was made to give death instead.

-A few weeks later Vaes Dothrak-

Tragedy like many things in life come in waves not stages. This was something Attila was learning very well. From the news of his grandfather and father death to his mothers hanging corpse in front of him. He was learning, learning to hate those who made his mother take her own life like this. She could not bare the thought of living on with out the two most important men in her life. Not even if it were to be for him and his brother.

Clenching his fists till his hand started bleeding he reined in his hate. His hate would turn to anger, and anger made you blind. He could not be blind to the path before him. He would make all of Essos pay for the death of those he loved. Pay in the blood and screams of all the people of the Free Cities, Slavers Bay and anyone else who took up arms against the kingdom. But first he needed to walk the path to Great General. It was not an easy path and one that would not be given to him. And in till he was a Great General he would not have the power to declare war on the world.

-The Three Pillars of Numenor by Historian Melael-

We can not talk about the history of the Empire of Numenor without speaking of the three men who set the very foundations of the Empire. Now many had a hand in the creation of our Empire in the beginning, but these men really set the groundwork and indeed the thought process for us. For example, Shogun Narbo's willingness to do what was necessary and not what he wanted. Great General Haggo's willingness to change with the times and turn is back on tradition for progress. And of course, the King of Lightning and who is worship now as the God of Lightning Steinporr for his willingness to sacrifice his life for the Empire.

Because of those three men we have stood the test of time. And while the Empire will never be the greatest country there has ever been it continues to strive to be. Even knowing it has too much blood on its hands. It will move forward like those three men by doing what is necessary, changing when it has to, and sacrificing till it meets its inevitable end. For if there is one thing the Emperor and Empress have taught us it is nothing last forever.

And done

Ok now I want to try and answer some questions about Slaver's Bay and one of its character. Now despite the show showing a type of mental retardation in the people of Slaver's Bay I can't imagine one person not being able to figure out the folly of Oro's plan. Now the character does not take a major road and Slaver's Bay will be dealt with in good time. I have plans for it for now it will carry on.

With that said I hope you all liked this chapter the next poll will be posted shortly and always leave a review, give you ideas and be safe all.
