Kabuto mastered the Mystic palm by like six or seven, enough to help fund the orphanage... like how hard can it be to learn, A rank Jutsu or no? Sasuke mastered the Chidori in a month, Naruto the Rasengan and both were A rank like the Mystic Palm.
The Next Monday- One week of Medic Training
'It's only been a week and he is already able to fully manifest the green colored chakra for the Mystic Palm.' Kabuto thought, watching Mika as he held his hand out over a dying fish. The boy was struggling, he had Upper tier chakra control but it was not yet masterful enough to fully control medical chakra. It was close but not fully there yet, and yet due to his sheer intelligence and determination, the boy was progressing at a frightening pace. 'He has mastered tree climbing and water walking and has a firm grip on the sand sticking exercise All in a week of training, three five-hour days of hard work with me. I give him a month before he is able to fully reach medical level chakra control, maybe... he might get it faster, he's a fast learner.'
"I think I got it!" Mika said, and Kabuto hurried over, watching the boy as he pushed harder with his chakra. Before Kabuto's eyes, the fish started flopping and gaping, once again strong enough to return to the water.
Stunned, he moved his own glowing hands over the fish and monitored it before tossing it back into their small pond. "You are able to do the Mystic Palm but you are expending too much chakra into the technique, you mildly damaged the cells. That will correct itself as you practice. Congratulations, kid, you managed an A-ranked Jutsu in three days!"
Mika smiled, a soft expression that made his doll-like face glow. "It is quite exciting, I cannot help but admit."
"Let's wait a week before you are allowed to use it on the floor, and another two weeks before you are able to use it in the field. Grab another fish and try it out, aim for regulating your chakra more." The boy nodded and did as he asked, never seeing the dark look in Kabuto's eyes. 'He may be a newbie, but there is a lot of potential. He might make a great ally or minion for Lord Orochimaru...' Putting that thought away for now, he leaned toward Mika. "Remember, you are on Medsurge today, you get to see and care for a lot of injured people. This is a great opportunity, so don't tire yourself out just yet."
Mika nodded and more determinedly focused on healing the injured fish.

Tuesday- The Next Day
Swinging his short blade, Mika turned, mock fighting enemies as he twirled and blocked. The blade was ill-suited for blocking, even at a foot long it was more of a stabbing and slashing weapon, but it could block as it was made of strong metals like most ninja weapons. He was thankful he knew this, for battles could take place at any time, war was frequent in the ninja world and even the mighty fell. He was getting better with the blade, all genin had some kenjutsu training using their kunai, so this really wasn't too different and he was able to adapt. He hoped to be at least partially battle ready in a month, and reach some degree of mastery by the time the chunin exams came around. He was not sure if he could participate in it, but he was hopeful to at least try. Getting ready for it was not a bad idea in either case.
His everything was improving, he had found scrolls on more advanced Leaf Taijutsu and was mixing them with his lessons from Kabuto. It made attacking easier, for the medical-style was more defensive. Mixing ken and tai jutsu would hopefully make him a more deadly combatant and able to protect himself and his patients. He just needed two things to really make himself dangerous.
First off, he needed a manner of escape, which he had in hand with a scroll with the shushin on it. He had decided to make that his primary focus over the next month alongside his tanto training, with his slightly increasing chakra levels and drastically increasing chakra control he was sure he could manage it. It would make escaping easier and safer when he could not fight someone if he ever went up against a powerful ninja too great for him. It was also a great tool in battle.
Lastly, and more importantly, he needed a better battle technique. Something that preserved chakra but could still be used to pack a punch, like Tsunade's super strength. He just wasn't sure what that would be yet... he was too inexperienced to start practicing with poisons, and he had no idea what his element was yet... which was why had bought a chakra paper just a few hours past, so he could at least figure the most basic part of his training.
After he finished with kenjutsu training over the water, he hurried over to his backpack leaning against a tree and sat against it. Pulling out his chakra paper, he funneled his chakra into it. It immediately turned into wet mush.
"Water it is... no water jutsu on me yet, sadly, but I can at least learn the shushin and put water jutsu on the backburner." Reading the scroll, he found the technique almost laughably simple. Standing, he put his hand in the right sign and focused his chakra into his muscles, mostly his legs, and moved in one motion... only to stumble and almost collapsed as a rush of dizziness overtook him, he had moved over a hundred feet in one motion. "Well, that was fun." Shaking it off, he repeated the action, this time moving not fast enough and tripping over himself. Annoyed he tried one more time... and managed to reach the tree he started at once more. "Wow, that was... tiring." He shivered, feeling a drain on his chakra. "D rank or not, that uses more chakra than I'd like but that must mean I have not reached mastery, mastery would mean using almost no chakra for it... I guess I have a lot of time to practice, don't I? And I still have to get better at the replacement, with my increasing chakra control and the techniques almost infamous use, I really should have done better in the academy. Note to self, practice that better. I could integrate that and the Shunin in a kind of obstacle course or set of exercises... mixing them together should make me a better fighter without expending too much chakra. Couldn't hurt, right?"
And like that, Mika's regime was complete, with a simple set of moves and techniques. Kenjutsu, taijutsu, conditioning, chakra control, Shushin and replacement, Medical and the Mystic Palm. His hands were full, but soon enough he knew that with these simple techniques he could and would be useful, powerful and dangerous... and really, was anything more important?
"If I continue this regimen, my chakra levels might increase as much as fifteen percent in a month or so, a sizeable increase... " Mika continued. "My speed is already increasing with the weights, as is my strength. I have already increased them to three pounds per weight. Not much really, but it is helping... It needs to help. They were costly enough as it was. Ugh, I am so sore... maybe Kabuto has some medical techniques to help with that?"

One Month Since Graduation and Medical Training Started
Green light danced over a small finger, soothing the boy's pain and swiftly reducing the damage caused by boiling water. " There we go..." Mika muttered, focusing hard while Kabuto watched him. It took longer than he would like, Kabuto could have done it in ten seconds, but Mika's progress was still impressive. Pulling away, Mika saw that he wound had entirely faded, leaving an awestruck four-year-old. "All better."
The little boy beamed. "Thank you, Mister!"
His father sighed, sheer relief on his face. "Thank you, I was so worried when he knocked the tea kettle onto his hand."
Mika waved the thanks away. "Not a problem. I am just happy to help."
After that, the man left with his son in tow, and Kabuto approached. "You are getting good at that, your promotion to a level two medic is well earned."
Mika smiled, after a solid month of sheer effort, in which his chakra levels had in fact increased sixteen percent, he had mastered the mystic palm and basic medical procedure enough to be allowed to become a level two medic. All it really meant was that he could help heal small wounds alone, perform slightly more advanced medical care in the field and act as a CNA without much supervision. Oh and he could do bladder scans, take temperatures and pass some basic medications. Nothing too amazing but still, it was nice to be recognized.
"I cannot wait to reach level three, where you are. I get to act as a nurse and do far more in the field."
"Yes, but as it is you can at least use the mystic palm in the field now." They walked out of the procedure room only to run into a chunin.
"Ahh, Mika, Lord Hokage would like to see you in the Missions office, in fifteen minutes."
Mika nodded, turning to Kabuto. "I'll let everyone know, behave Mika."
With that, Mika hurried away, grabbing his tanto from the break room and making his way to the Missions Office. Once there, he saw the Hokage and bowed low, even if he really wasn't happy to do so. "I have come, Lord Hokage."
"Mika, I have a mission for you, your first C rank."
Perking up, Mika looked up. "C rank?"
"Team Seven will be leaving in an hour to go to the Land of Waves. I do believe having a medic, especially one as skilled as you are proving to be, on that mission would prove a wise choice. Remember, though, as you are only a class two medic you cannot supercede Kakashi Hatake's commands as a jonin."
"I am aware."
"Good. Now, if you please, go and take this with you." He held out a scroll for Mika to take. "Take this to Kakashi, it gives him the notice that you are accompanying them on their mission."
Mika nodded. "Thank you, Lord Hokage."
"You are dismissed."
Mika turned and hurried away, excited and horrified to start his first real mission. He was ready and experienced as a medic, he had been actively using the Mystic Palm for three full weeks in practice and with patients. He had trained in kenjutsu to reach genin level in a month. He was sure his shushin was getting close to Chunin level, same with his replacement.
He was positive he would excel...
Positive.
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was an utter blast. Scaling skills are hard in this universe... and the pacing of learning.
Love, your Ninja Overlord,
Mika.
