There is one reason and one reason only Mika in on the Wave mission, well two reasons. Otherwise, I would never put him on it... and I don't want to, but there are two huge opportunities. One is one Mika does, the other is what Mika learns. If anyone wants to talk, I can tell you so you can tell me if it makes sense.

"Kakashi Hatake?"

Said man turned to the soft and feminine voice, as he and his team were leaving the village with Tazuna. He saw a person with a doll-like face with delicate features. He had high cheekbones, curly brown hair, eyes as blue as Naruto's and red lips. He was tiny, maybe four foot five, making him even smaller than Naruto. He was dressed in black shorts and a black top with a grey vest filled with pockets. On his lower back was a tanto. The boy was well muscled, almost willowy. He was abnormally beautiful in a very effeminate way. Only the deep circles under his eyes kept him from being a flawless beauty.

"Yes?"

"My name is Mika, Lord Hokage asked me to accompany you on this mission." He held out a scroll, which Kakashi took and read. "I am a trained Medic, class two already, and he felt I would be an asset on the mission." He smiled, but it was stiff as if he was not accustomed to speaking to others. There was little emotion in his tone, he seemed almost empty.

Kakashi nodded. "I read that."

"Hey, why is he coming with us?" Sakura asked, looking annoyed.

Naruto nodded. "Yeah! He's been on no missions, he wasn't in class when we got our teams or nothing!"

Mika turned to Naruto, and his eyes flashed with more emotion than Kakashi could read. It was a cold flash of intense rage so deep that it was chilling. "Naruto, I was stronger than you in the academy, I am far stronger now. I could easily break your pretty face." Naruto sputtered. "As for why I am here, I chose to become a medical ninja instead of a normal ninja. I am excelling, so Lord Hokage deemed me a probable asset to your mission. His rule is law, not your worthless opinions."

Both Sakura and Naruto started to chatter defensively, so Kakashi interceded. "You two, enough. He is a class two medic, most medics take at least six months to reach that level, he did it in one month this scroll says. That takes serious skill and intelligence. You also never want to make an enemy out of your medics, they hold life and death in their hands. Now let's go."

They started towards the gates when Naruto charged out and screamed. "YEAH!" Naruto bellowed, hands in the air! "Alright!"

Naturally, it was Sakura who replied. "What are you getting so excited about Naruto?"

"This is the first I have ever left the village, I'm a traveler now believe it!"

Mika sighed, turning to Tazuna. "I apologize for him being as dull as dirt, but I assure you Sasuke and I are rather capable. Kakashi is a jonin, so he's pretty powerful."

The man laughed. "A girly boy like you, capable? Can you even use that blade?"

"Pray you never have to find out."

Even Kakashi felt wary of the boy's tone.

And so they walked, for several miles before something caught Kakashi's eyes.

It was a puddle, randomly set in the side of the road.

'Not very clever of you, it hasn't rained in days and with this heat, there is no way anything would have survived this long. I wonder who they're after, us or Tazuna… only one way to find out.'

And so, he allowed the attackers to wrap their chains around him, even as he replaced himself with a log at the last second. Quickly hiding in the trees, Kakashi watched as his students reacted to his death.

Sakura screeched, Naruto gasped his name, Sasuke looked determined and Mika pulled out his tanto with a killer intent oozing from his subtly.

In an instant the attackers rushed behind Naruto, ready to bind him but before they could, Sasuke pinned their chain to a tree with ease while landing on their claws, using them for leverage to kick each of them in the face. They severed their chains in that instant. As they flew back, both recovered in an instant due to sheer training and force of will. One rushed to Tazuna who was quickly guarded by Sakura, and the other towards Naruto who froze in shock.

With a shushin that would shame many chunin, Mika was behind the one closest to Naruto, slashing with a bent stance. The man screamed, a horrible sound, as Mika's blade cut through the back of his knees. He fell to his knees and then to his face, knocked out as the boy lashed out with a kick.

'I've seen enough.'

With a fraction of his speed, Kakashi collected the other attacker in his arms, saving Tazuna and a doomed Sakura all at once.

"Hi." He said. And it was clear that everyone was stunned, even the immovable Sasuke. "Naruto, sorry I didn't help you right away, I didn't mean for you to get hurt but I didn't think you'd freeze like that." His eyes moved to an intrigued Mika. 'There is no sign that he is upset, that could be a good thing or a very bad thing. I wonder how his compartmentalization is?' Putting on a smile, Kakashi said. "That was an excellent Shushin and it seems you can use that blade, your form was flawless. Good job very smooth. You too, Sakura."

""""

Mika frowned, turning a very shamed Naruto. Sighing, he grabbed the other boy's shoulder. " Fight, Flight or Freeze. In traumatic situations, we all have those choices because of how instinct works. You just haven't learned how to choose yet. It's not your fault, just work harder and you'll get it. I only can do it because of my medical training, I have seen horrible injuries and I have seen death already. I can compartmentalize rather easily."

Kakashi nodded. "He's right, there is no shame in that Naruto, just do better and be better. Simple as that...You're very lucky though, if Mika hadn't interfered you would have been in serious trouble. There is poison on these Ninja's claws." Naruto went white at that moment. "By the way Mr. Tazuna, we need to talk."

It was Tazuna's turn to look scared.

It took only minutes for Kakashi to scold the man for lying to them and revealing the scope of the mission to be B rank at the least...

And only a minute longer for Naruto to whine. " Come on, we can do this! I won't freeze anymore believe it! I swear!"

Kakashi just sighed. "Very well, I do believe we are going to continue with this mission."

"Why?" Mika said, stunning Kakashi. "Why continue a mission so far above our rank? Yes, we have me a medic and you a jonin but that only helps so much."

"We continue because it is right to do."

Mika just nodded, not at all agreeing with the man's logic but knowing it would only do him good, should he survive, to continue the missions. For rank, power, and for reputation. A genin with a B rank mission on the books, especially a medic and a clanless ninja? It could open a lot of doors for him... so he did not argue, no matter how much he wanted to...

And he really, really wanted to argue on sending genin on such a dangerous mission.

Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.

This wasn't easy, but it is a good chapter.

Love, your Ninja Overlord,

Mika.
