So you are aware, Gato has already threatened Zabuza and gotten his arm broken...
Sasuke and Shino were easily Chunin level when they graduated. The line between Chunin and Genin is very, very faint.
'He is a lot more dangerous than my team.' Kakashi thought as he felt Mika follow him to Gato's lair. Tazuna had known it's location, it was no big secret, Gato liked to brag after all. Mika was moving gracefully more so than his team, even Sasuke could manage and without an edge of fear or doubt. There was confidence and reliability that Team Seven lacked. More so, his willingness to kill so brutally was... unnerving. Kakashi really didn't need his help, but it would do well to keep an eye on the boy just in case since he was the one to suggest such a thing. 'His willingness to kill, his calmness and his intelligence make him very dangerous for his age and experience. This assassination could be a great thing for him career-wise or end it entirely. I wonder which it will be?'
Under the night sky, both ninja sped up, moving with speeds that no mere civilian could manage. It took them about twenty-five minutes to find Gato's lair, and both noticed it was oddly lightly guarded, and only with weak-looking untrained samurai wannabes.
"Are you really willing to kill? This is your last chance to back out."
Mika turned to him, his cold blue eyes void of any emotion. "Far too willing, now let's go, we haven't much time."
Kakashi took the lead and they leaped through the shadows, up onto the building, and into a window they silently opened. Kakashi turned and whispered. "Search through the rooms, if you have a chance, be swift and show no mercy."
Mika nodded, again not a trace of emotion in his eyes or aura.
They separated, both searching through the various rooms as silent as a pair of mice. Kakashi found an odd lack of people, but a ton of art, literal jewels, maps, and an office he planned to investigate later. Turning he headed down the other side, and noticed a distinct lack of Mika.
He hurried as fast as he could and quickly found the boy in the farthest, largest room. He was staring at a sleeping Gato, his hand reaching towards his blade. There was no hesitation as, in one swift motion, the boy pulled out his blade and buried it into Gato's heart. The man died before he knew he was in danger. Mika turned toward Kakashi, swiping his blade to cast aside the blood. Then, with another motion, he cut off Gato's head and sealed it away.
Kakashi nodded, his time in ANBU made him appreciate the swiftness.
Mika was not done though. "The Samurai have been hurting the kids, they go too."
"Fine, but you do it."
They hurried back out, through the window again. Mika climbed across the rooftop until he was just above the two samurai. Dropping down, Mika's blade swung out, decapitating the one on the left. The other turned, stunned, but could not move as Mika's blade shot upward, right through his jaw and into his brain. He died instantly, falling as Mika pulled out his blade.
The boy's movements were only genin level, which was more than most Thugs could manage against, but the utter ruthlessness and calculation of his attacks... that was not something you could just be taught. In that way, that way alone, Mika was miles above all three of Kakashi's students.
Combined.
"What are we going to do with the bodies and the stuff inside of the base?" Mika asked.
"It belongs to Wave... but I am sure you could ask for something."
"I have a demand, that they send some to the Leaf for medical training and help this fucking place. Those kids, Kakashi, the horrors I saw... no one deserves it. A full six will not survive the week, no matter what I did. The damage was too severe."
Putting a hand on the boy's shoulder, Kakashi smiled. "You did well, kid... if you ever want to go into ANBU, feel free, I will make a recommendation."
"Can you recommend me for Chuninship first?"
"Kid, from what I've seen, you are already chunin level with your collective skills. More a support ninja with your medical skills, but your brains and sword skills and if you master the Hidden Mist Jutsu... and you will be crazy strong. How long have you been mastering Kenjutsu?"
"Since graduation."
"One month... that's... epic. You might be as much of a prodigy as they say Sasuke is."
That finally brought out a smile on Mika's face. "That is... very flattering, but I am well aware that the lien between chunin and genin isn't that big. It is mostly a mindset thing. I am sure Sasuke and I surpassed Iruka a year ago."
"Likely so. Now, let's go back, you need your rest..."
"Wait." Mika quickly sealed away the blades of the Samurai. "They were good quality swords, even if I don't plan on using them, they might get me a good amount of money. I am well paid at the hospital but I need more money if I am to buy some more advanced Kenjutsu scrolls. Oh, and by the way, your father inspired me to get a Tanto."
That made Kakashi smile. "I am shocked you know of him at all."
"I read, a lot. Oh and I get credit for Gato's bounty, I am sure he has one."
Kakashi just chuckled as they hurried away, ignoring the corpses they left behind and the death lingering in the air.
'""
It was rare that anything could give Hope and Glory, but killing Gato did just that. Mika would gain a name for himself for killing a crimelord and Wave would gain hope from Gato's death. Mika was sure that nothing could be better. He got his first kills too, and felt nothing but contentment through them. A bit concerning but oh well.
"Kakashi, if he has any warehouses, it might have the medicine and food stored away, we can have Naruto use those clones he said he can do to empty them and help Wave gain some semblance of peace."
"A great idea," Kakashi said. "I will have Tazuna tell me where to go and have them empty the warehouses. You however are sleeping til you are well rested. You exhausted yourself healing those kids and you just killed three people. You need the rest."
Mika shrugged. "Not arguing... at all."
"Good, there is no point in that."
"I'll be up by noon, I need to go through the medicine and supplies and divide them so I can patch people up better. I might give Naruto some instruction so we can do better, I wish I could do clones it would make life a thousand times easier. Alas, I cannot... I cannot even use the Mystic Palm beyond bruises and cuts... and shallow ones at that. It sucks, I wish I could do so much more."
"That is the sign of being a good medic, that you care... which is rare in and of itself. That you mastered that technique enough to use it at all is exceptional. You are a rare talent kid, a very, very rare talent. Be proud of that."
Mika just nodded, still not content in the way of things but more assured than he was before which was something at least.
'May you rot in hell, Gato... may you rot.'
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was so much fun, short and simple but easy and so much fun to write! I have never written this into a story.
Love, your Ninja Overlord,
Mika.
