This is short, time flies when you are busy healing your village.
The Day before Team Seven goes to the Land of Tea
Gentle Green chakra danced around Mika's open palms, soothing the fish's burns and reviving it entirely. The entire process took about fifteen seconds, making Tsunade smile at him. "You have the same kind of potential as Shizune, she mastered this technique in about the same amount of time." She was a bit awed, such talent was quite rare. "I give you maybe three months before you are able to heal past just basic injuries if you continue past this pace."
Mika nodded at Tsunade, bowing ever so slightly, she liked his respectful nature. It was a nice change of pace over Naruto, her love of the brat aside. "Thank you, I do try, but to be honest, I spent a year reading everything I could get my hands on for the medical arts before I even became a genin. Preparation was key for me."
"To be honest, that only makes me appreciate your skills all the more. Few bother to prepare for their future in any way, they merely wing it, a bad strategy... I declare you about halfway to being a class three medic. I will be having Shizune cover your training three days a week, as you did before. We need more medics, badly, and definitely more combat medics. I cannot afford to waste your potential. Continue with your old schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for your training."
Mika nodded. "I normally rest Sunday, I need it with my low stamina, but if you need a short assignment of work, I would be happy to help. I need the money, I am aiming to buy a chakra blade. They are very, very pricey... oh and I think I can convince Neji Hyuuga to get a least a day of Medic work, his control is good enough and he has a fantastic understanding of chakra. I think Hiashi will allow the branch family to try their hands at this, many have the skills needed."
She smiled. "Do that and I will have no choice but reward you, I tried for a sold decade to get the Hyuuga's to join in on the medical field."
"I will do my best. What about Ghost? I wanted to have him become an emotional support animal and a disease detector once he is old enough and smart enough."
"I can arrange that, any addition to my medical corp is more than welcome."

A week later
Time passed fast for Mika and Hinata, the trauma of the invasion meant that their training and work as healers was constant. They both picked up a ton of extra hours, and still it was not enough. They were paid for C ranks, that was how intense their work was, and yet they found time for each other. Sitting in a dango stand, they both enjoyed their meal while discussing something that deeply irked each of them.
Mika gaped at Hinata, her words filling him with disgust. "They what?"
Hinata nodded, sighing deeply. "They left the Rajin, even in it's broken state, in a river at the Land of Tea. Left it like trash."
"How, why? That artifact could have made a world of difference, what if Kakashi had it? With his lightning affinity and sword skills he could have demolished his enemies with it! Let's go to Tsunade! Now." And so they did, Mika and Hinata both.
It was early, just before Dawn and both were very pissed to hear the results of the Mission Team Seven took to the Land of Tea. To think anyone would leave the Raijin just lying there, like trash despite it's immense power was... baffling.
Knocking at Tsunade's door, they were quickly let in. Tsunade was talking with a chunin. "What do you need?" Without hesitation, they explained their thoughts and Tsunade nodded. "That Artifact is indeed important, if you two are willing I will set up a mission for it later but for now there is a more pressing issue. Sasuke Uchiha has defected the village. We have reasons to believe he has left for Orochimaru at the Land of Rice. I will not waste words, you are not the kind to find that comforting. Your mission is simple. Leave the village, track Sasuke down, bring him back for trial."
Mika frowned. "There is no way he is not guarded... but I cannot take Jonin can I?" Tsunade shook her head. "Fine... who can I take?"
"Skilled Genin and you are right, he is likely being guarded by Orochimaru's henchmen. Be smart about your choices. Oh and there is one ninja I would like you to bring with you."
Hinata groaned. "Please don't tell me it's Naruto?" She had really grown out of her crush of the boy. "He is all but useless in a fight and he is too invested, I heard about his fight with Sasuke on the rooftop."
"He is a friend of Sasuke, he might be able to talk him back."
"Fine...Hinata, get Neji and Kiba. I will get Naruto and... that's likely it. I cannot think of any other skilled Genin, Lee is still recovering from surgery... damn, he would be beyond useful... pity. Let's go."
They vanished in a flash...
Never knowing how deeply this mission would change utterly everything in their lives...
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was a really fun chapter.
Love, your Ninja Overlord,
