Did I do a good job on the fights?
Mei is my favorite Kage by far.
For Kimmimaro, I am basing his skills off of the fights in the anime too.
How strong are explosive tags? Some can be shrugged off, some destroy swathes of forests...
This is the hardest fight I have ever written but the Third Hokage inspired it entirely!
Naruto was many things, ignorant, irritating and immature. He was actually aware of this, he had been called these things a hundred times... but he was not blind. With his Shadow clones, during his fight with the Spider guy, he watched Mika and Hinata utterly demolish their enemies. Mika with Kenjutsu and Stealth, Hinata with sheer speed and taijutsu skills. He knew that in a fight, they would wreck him, he could not even let himself be jealous of it, he knew Hinata had been seen as a loser, Neji said as much, and he had heard Jiriaya say during their trip to get Tsunade that Mika's rising skills reminded him of The Fourth Hokage. Plus, Hinata beat Neji and Sasuke, and Mika bested Naruto hismefl and cut Gaara when no one else did. Mika hit really hard and easily overwhelmed Naruto's overall skills...
He knew that if anyone could make this mission a success, that could stop those Sound Ninja, it was them...
But why, why did he feel so... nervous, so afraid? What was it that boiled in his blood, leaving him raw inside...
"Please be safe..."

Sweating Mika knew that this man was serious, that he was going to kill him. "Sorry, I am doing really well right now, but maybe some other time." Twisting his blade, Mika channeled his power through it. "Silent killing is key here." He whispered, as low as he could, Use your eyes." His beloved Hyuugas nodded and He gathered his chakra in his chest and with his recently honed Water skills, Mika said. "Hidden Mist Jutsu." And breathed out a Mist so thick that the entire area turned white.
Only for his enemy to laugh. "I grew up in The Land of Mist, I can handle your Silent killing, Kabuto warned me about it anyway."
Mika sighed. "Hinata, remind me to kill Kabuto."
She laughed and then, with perfect teamwork, they moved as one. He knew how Hinata fought and she knew how he fought, they would not get in each other's way. Neji could see them both, as could Hinata, they would be safe.
Mika went behind and slashed at his enemy's lower calves, right above his tendons, and to his utter horror, a thin layer of bone appeared just under the surface and shattered his blade entirely, regardless of the chakra infused in it. He really needed a new blade now...
Flipping away to avoid a strong kick, Mika heard the man grunt from two attacks, he felt the chakra bursts from Hinata and Neji sensors or not. Rushing in, Mika mimicked Tsunade's most famous attack, the Heavily Foot of Pain. Rising into the air, Mika dropped his leg down with a burst of chakra, strong enough that it sent his enemy to dislocate his enemy's shoulder entirely. He heard a grunt, as he shot away all the while throwing an explosive tag onto the man's shoulder right on the joint, just in time as a wave of chakra and white smoke erupted from the air dispersing the mist and knocking Mika back a solid foot.
Hinata was nearby, looking annoyed. "The Gentle fist is useless on him. I think he's a Kaguya, there was a layer of bone blocking the chakra we shot into him."
"Fuck." Mika groaned. "They were a huge threat in the previous wars... even a weak Kaguya with an active bloodline..."
His enemy was rising, his arm popping back into place, never noticing the small explosive tag just hiding on the back of his shoulder. "You are good, not the trash I would have assumed you are."
"So flattered."
"You hit my joint, where my bones were weaker, a wise move. It won't be enough, but it was a wise move. I admit I am deeply impressed. I will tell you my name. I am Kimmimaro Kaguya, the last of the clan. Since you denied to come to Lord Orochimaru, I will have no choice but to take your head."
Raising his hand, Mika pulsed his chakra, and an explosion rocketed in the air, Kimmimaro screamed as his left shoulder and everything below it was torn from his body in one gigantic wave that blinded them all for a moment. Mika moved then, as the man turned to him in agony, and kneed him in the face, shattering his nose before flipping back and dodging a swipe. Shushining away, to Hinata and Neji ( who had moved to them to regroup) Mika watched as black stripes covered Kimmimaro's body before he literally started to turn into a freaking dinosaur, tail and all, stopping the blood that was spurting from his left arm.
"You are..." The man stumbled forward, holding his chest with his other hand. "I... LORD OROCHIMARU!" He screamed before falling to his knees, then falling to his face, dead.
"Is he dead?"
Both Hyuuga's nodded. ' No chakra activity... he is dead."
Neji put a hand on Mika's shoulder. "That was a smart move, planting an explosive tag on his shoulder. He was so distracted by the pain and resetting it, that he did not notice the tag. Why was it so big, the explosion I mean? With his bones being as strong as they seemed, strong enough to block my chakra, I'd think they would block the explosion."
"I buy them that was, and some smaller explosions, based on my needs, I rarely need them but I like to be prepared... remind me to get you some. It was also on a joint, you can't strengthen a joint, adding more bones would just make it unmovable. It was a guess, nothing more, I got really, really lucky. That would never have worked against someone else..."
Hinata frowned. "I think he was sick, his chakra was muted, and warped, I could see signs of stress in it."
"That probably helped a whole hell of a lot. Hell, it was likely everything, that was a Curse mark but I have never seen the advanced stage like that... whatever it was, It and the lost arm put too much strain on him, taking his life... collect the bodies, all of them, and let's hurry back. I cannot fight anymore, I am already starting to shake even if I barely used any chakra. We are far too new for this type of mission."
"Agreed." Both of his Hyuugas said.
They left the clearing three minutes later, each of them worn, tired and mourning the death of one of their own, the first of their generation...
As Mika left, he ran through what would have made this fight far easier. 'Poisons, chakra siphoning at a distance, Higher tier genjutsu or ninjutsu... literally anything that would have helped us... kami, Tsume, Hana, I am so sorry...'
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was a joy to write but really hard. Why not just use simple things to kill Kimmimaro, not just taijutsu and sand, but explosive tags, and understanding of anatomy and being underestimated? He was a cocky fighter, so why not use simple means really... The Third Hokage bested the weakened Second and First with explosive tags so why not here? That was within Mika's limits, so it was what I used.
