How long was Naruto doing those Anime only missions before he went with Jiraiya?

Should Mika help Naruto train?

I have been looking forward to this chapter for so freaking long!

In Tsunade's Office

"... and so, I am sending Hinata on her first solo lead mission." Tsunade said, looking at the skilled Chunin. "You are to go to the Land of Tea and attempt to locate the Raijin Naruto and his company left behind. Damaged or not, it leaks chakra and you should be able to locate it in the River it was cast aside in."

Hinata nodded, pleased. "I would be honored, Lady Hokage."

"I am sure you are. Mika, your request to have the next three months off... well I am want to ask why.:

Mika sighed holding out his hands. "Training, both for me and Ghost. Mainly my medical skills, they are not where they should be. In Three months with Shizune, or in the hospital with self-study and I should be able to reach stage three. I lost a whole month of medical training after Kabuto left, two actually due to the chunin exams. I still have been training and practicing on my own but not with someone that can help lead me. I need to get better to lead my missions better, and I want to work on more difficult work in the hospital.

For myself, I also want to start on genjutsu training and master my tai and kenjutsu to a higher level as well as get started on sealing. Three months is a perfect way to do that, to get myself to a level in which I can really make difference. I would likely, in those three months, reach Special jonin level in terms of power making our missions far more likely to have successful outcomes. I also really, really need to use Gai's training methods to increase my chakra and conditioning, I am just shy of doubling my reserves since graduation! I need this.

Then there is Ghost." Mika petted his cat's head, having brought him into her office," In a few weeks, he will be ready to mark as a ninja cat, but I want to spend at least two solid months just training him in mission preparation, see if he can cast jutsu like a ninja dog and so many other things. To take him from the basic form of a ninja cat to one that can be relied on. He is learning fast. He has been, for the last week since the Sasuke retrieval mission, training to detect cancer and acting as an emotional support animal while I work at the hospital. He can be great, he just needs dedication. Hana has already agreed to give me some tips to help that regard.

He needs work on taijutsu, tracking, stealth, and combat in general. He needs conditioning, chakra control exercise, genjutsu release exercises, more advanced command work... it will take time but I think, I know I can do this."

Tsunade, leaning forward with fingers clasped, nodded. "A wise choice. Being a medic, you always have work and will be of service to the village. I will allow it, we need more carefully trained medics and having Ghost more well-trained overall, as well as yourself, will only make things better. You get three months, emergencies notwithstanding, to get yourself increased mastery of medical jutsu and increase your overall powers as well as Ghost's."

Mika bowed. "Thank you."

Hinata then stepped forward. "What are you going to do with the Raijin, my lady?"

Tsunade. "Nothing, at least I am sure nothing. When that Aoi used it, he used it on it's lowest level, it was meant for Senju chakra or for anyone with dense enough chakra to use it. Few of our ninjas have that kind of power, and few have mastery of Kenjutsu."

Hinata cleared her throat. " I would like to use it, if that is alright. I have some mastery, Mika taught me some basics when he taught me how to use the Silent killing. I think I could use it to it's fullest."

Tsunade stared at her for a moment. "If your chakra can repair it if it is dense enough... then maybe. It has far more power than that Idiot Aoi knew of, it converts chakra into pure lightning chakra, the power it holds is beyond what you can realize having never seen it at work. Now, enough talk, ready yourself. Go and gather the Raijin, take Neji and Naruto Uzumaki. Neji can help you look for it, and hopefully Naruto can tell you where it was.

Wait, Mika, you know better than to practice genjutsu alone, where are you going to get the training? Kurenai is gone on missions."

Mika sighed. "I planned on asking the Kurama clan in return for a small debt. Just in the basics and breaking. I need help in casting them safely, so I can use them in battle or to mask my presence or in tandem with my mist."

"Wise and foolish at once, but I can see why you would want to, they may not all be powerhouses but they all have advanced mastery. Very well. What could you give them?"

"Training, I heard through the grapevine at the hospital that their heiress is sickly but still wants to be a ninja. Maybe I could train her, I am not the strongest of body and I am doing fine."

Tsunade sighed. "It is far worse than that... Yakumo is, well, she is more than just weak but I will allow you to ask their head Unkai what is going on. Who knows, your genius may be enough to help her. Now go, I have paper work, so much of it... wait Mika you need this paper, it will allow you entrance into their compound."

With one last bow, Mika and Hinata left the tower. Mika grabbed Hinata's hand. "I wish you luck, kick ass."

"You too." She said, smiling before getting a dark expression. "The Kurama are dangerous, Masters of the mind and illusions. They may not be so happy to see you, they are reclusive. Be careful."

Mika nodded. " I will be. You be careful, less others track down the Raijin as well and seek to harm you " Turning to Ghost, he smiled at his cat. "Ready to talk to the Kurama's?"

'I ready, I ready... bye Hinata!' He meowed at Hinata who tickled his chin and kissed his face before hurrying off to collect her minions for the mission.

The Kurama's were up on the hillside just outside the village, for some forsaken reason. As Mika and Ghost made their way up the hillside, he quickly noticed the signs of other people. A footprint here, broken branches there. Ghost noticed them too.

'Daddy, there are other beings here... Ghost smells them.'

"Good boy Ghost, good boy..."

He made it maybe two hundred feet before the clearing where the manor would be before he was beset on by two ANBU members. "What do you want?" They asked.

Mika held out his hands. "I am here to ask someone named Unkai for Genjutsu training, I have permission from Lady Hokage." He handed them the paper Tsunade had given him. They looked at it, then one looked at Ghost. "This is Ghost, Ninneko. He is a great cat, and a loyal partner. He is allowed. Tsunade would not separate us since he is here for training too."

"What is going on?" They all turned to face the source of the noist. A short man with brown hair and small brown eyes. "Who is this?"

Mika smiled. "I am Mika, a student of Lady Shizune and someone begging your aid in mastering genjutsu in return for nearly any favor."

The man smirked. "Any favor, what could a brat like you accomplish."

"I am a medic, a swordsman, a silent killer and a taijutsu specialist. I am well trained in many fields, with quite a bit of influence even with the Hyuugas. I am a chunin already and I am actually really good at Shogi. I am a declared genius, with an IQ of over two hundred. There is very little beyond me."

To Mika's shock, one ANBU with a bug like mask nodded. "Mika is a candidate for ANBU, it was only his notoriety that prevents him from gaining access."

The man looked stunned. "Huh, very well. I am Unkai and I will help you if you help me... with my niece. She is sickly, she is... " He looked at the ANBU. "Can I trust him?"

"The Hokage gave a letter for you." She handed it, the one Mika gave out.

The man read it, eyes wide. "Wow, she really has a lot of faith in you. Very well, come with me and examine my niece and then we will see what I can do for you and you for me."

Nodding Mika followed the man into the small compound and into a back room where he saw a young girl, tall for her age, with brown hair and a pink kimono. She was a lovely figure, with very angry eyes. Behind and around her were dozens of violent paintings.

"Yakumo, this is Mika. He is a gifted Ninja, he may be able to... to... to help you with your dream of being a ninja despite your weak body." The man was stiff, tired but hopeful and Mika felt something for him in that moment.

At least until Ghost hissed. 'Angry, bloodthirsty, rage... the girl is mad! There is chakra in the pictures. ' Mika petted him.

"It's okay, I will be careful... shhhh, good boy." All the while focusing his medical eye on Yakumo. She was indeed angry, her body tense with hate and her eyes burning with a fractured light. "Yakumo, please calm down. I will never harm you, so long as you are not a threat. I am your friend, your ally. My cat tells me that you are extremely angry, and borderline bloodthirsty. You need to be calm or I cannot help you."

To his shock, she actually relaxed. "How?"

"I am a medic, and gifted in many areas. Like you, my body is weak but I am an excellent Ninja. One of the best of my age group."

Her eyes got wet and her entire demenor shifted, she got close. "HOW!"

"Training, and effort and protein shakes. I also figured out my weaknesses and worked around them. With your genjutsu prowess, you could easily be a TI ninja."

Her eyes went wide. "Really?"

"Oh yes, and if you learned sealing or medical as well you could be a fantastic support ninja. There are many types of ninja if direct combat is out of the list but let's not take it off yet, let me examine you. Strip down as far as you are comfortable and just answer my questions. Let Unkai and ANBU Stay, so you know I am not a threat." She obeyed and soon was in just her bra and pants. "First off, your paintings are lovely though my cat can smell chakra in them, why is that? Are they the medium to your powers?"

Everyone tensed. Unkai growled out. "Yakumo you know not to use your powers, they were sealed off!"

Mika spiked his killer intent, shutting up any arguments from everyone. Not a single soul, bar Ghost who was immune, refrained from shuddering or falling to their backs. "Enough, she is a child, you do not cope that tone. Yakumo, why was your powers sealed off. I need to know, I see the seal but I need to know."

Yakumo, afraid, answered. "Kurenai Yuhi sealed them, having no faith she could help me as a ninja like that Rock Lee boy and his master Gai!"

Mika frowned. "Why? I am sensing your body, it is like something is siphoning your chakra, your body is not innately weak, something is weakening you. A parasitic force of sorts... it is the strangest thing..." He turned to Unkai. " What is it, I know you know. Help me help her!"

The man shivered, Mika's tone so strong that he wilted. "She has a secondary personality, a manifestation of her bloodline that is insanely violent. It killed her parents.'

"NO! IT WASN'T ME IT WAS THE HOKAGE I-" Yakumo screamed, her eyes filled with fear and rage and sadness.

Mika pulled her into a warm hug, whispering into her ears. "If they are telling the truth, it is not your fault, it is the parasitic personality. We need to excise it and boom your life is better and you get revenge for your parents. Let me help you, Yakumo..."

She cried into his chest. "Please let them be lying, I... I loved, love, my parents, I would never hurt them!"

Mika pulled away. " Yakumo, I need your heart rate to be level, make sure your emotions are in check, give the parasitic essence nothing to grasp hold of. Be strong, stronger than it... and if you do, I will personally take you as my apprentice. I will make an absolute beast of a ninja."

With that ray of hope, the girl shivered and stood tall, wiping her tears away." What do I need to do?"

"We need Tsunade and Inoichi and Hiashi. I think I have an idea to overcome this creature. It's a manifestation of her Id, right?"

Unkai nodded. "How did you know?"

"I have medical training, including the mind. I take a holistic approach to medicine, always have. Many ninjas that suffer traumatic events develop ID related issues due to chakra's connective presence. It makes sense for this bloodline to shunt excess power to that aspect, but how does genjutsu kill?"

Unkai sighed. "It makes you feel so deeply, you experience the damage in real life. It is insanely rare."

Mika nodded and Ghost started to growl wordlessly. "Then your whole clan will be learning medical and sealing, in case another inherits this bloodline again. Now, we need to go. Based on Ghost's growls, things are not going well in Yakumo's mind. ANBU, take lead and stay close. If you smell any trace of genjutsu knock her out. Aim for a chakra point, that should help. Yakumo, stay strong and kick ass. You can do this!"

And the girl nodded, her eyes filled with rage and strength. "This thing killed my parents, I will not let it destroy my future. It's going down... are you really going to train me?"

"I have three months off to train, I could easily train you in that time to get you ready and start you on a path to train yourself. While you wait for your body to get strong, you can work on sealing or reading, trust me a huge help. Now, to Tsunade we go."

Unkai stopped Mika. "Fix my niece, avenging my brother and sister-in-law... and I will happily train you all."

"Thank you. Let's go."

I love taking a medical view of missions, like with Yakumo... Mika cannot help her, but Tsunade can... my solution is an awesome one you will love it.
