Yakumo is so underused, I have to use her!

Should Konohomaru and or Hanabi be major characters in this?

Also Ghost was largely inspired by Monkey King Enma, a real badass I wish we saw more of. Also, partially by Tekkle in Young Justice.

"So what is the idea here?" Tsunade asked, looking at Mika with pride. "You dragged me out of my office, on a whim, to help this girl. What do you want us to do?"

Mika gulped, a little nervous. He had gathered Hiashi, the Elders, Tsunade and Inoichi to help heal Yakumo and it would be very nerve wracking to explain it. " The Elders are famed for their sealing skills, they can hold Yakumo's seal fast while we work on her Ido. Daddy Hiashi can suppress her chakra, to negate illusions so it does not hurt us during the procedure. You, Tsunade can help stabilize Yakumo's body while we go through the procedure and Inoichi can excise or seal or integrate the Ido. I am here to keep an eye on her emotionally, to keep Yakumo calm which should help keep her around while we dig around her brain."

Yakumo whimpered, holding an uncomplaining Ghost tight. His purrs were louder than normal, which was saying a lot. His training as an emotional support animal, though only a week-long, had taken great hold on his mind and he loved on the girl tight. Licking her chin, rubbing her face and purring like it was his job, like he was getting paid. Mika grabbed her arm in apology to the girl, not meaning to frighten her.

The Elders smiled at him. "A genius you truly are, using skills among the clans, instead of just what belongs to you... a wise choice."

Mika bowed. "I try, Honorable Elders."

Unkai sighed. "I cannot believe we never thought to ask other clans, clearly our pride is in need of rectifying."

Yakumo sighed. "I was taught to rely solely on the clan as well, it is a bigger problem. I never thought to ask for outside help, none of us did. I mean maybe I would have had I known there was more of a problem but still." Unkai cringed at the reminder of his failings.

Tsunade suddenly clapped her hands. "Very well, let's get started. We have a lot to do and only so long to do it. Mika your duty is to keep her calm, Ghost you do the same."

Ghost nodded, meowing out. 'Yes, Tsunade, can I have some fishy snacks?' Mika relayed the request, filling the room with laughter.

Tsunade nodded. "We will have to pay you, you are working, I will personally buy you your fishy chips." She kissed his little nose. "Now, we must get down to business." Running through her handsigns, she put her hands on Yakumo's chest and laid the girl on her back. The Elders each put a hand on her seal, and Inoichi put a hand on each of her temples. Painlessly, Hiashi sealed away her chakra with two simple pokes and the girl flopped uselessly back.

Mika sat next to the girl, grabbing her hands while Ghost laid on her belly. "So Yakumo, how do you feel about Kenjutu?"

Her eyes brighter, even as she cringed from Inoichi slipping into her mind. "It sounds amazing, you said you were a kenjutsu user, how skilled are you?"

"I could pass for a Chunin, though I need more training before I consider myself of that level. In my training sabattical, I am aiming to bolster my skills considerably to reach low Jonin level. In theory anyway. My specialty is stealth and agility and evasion, but I want to really focus on my offensive skill, I will not always have the advantage of fighting with supplementary skills. I need a greater oomph, as I learned when fighting the Last Kaguya. My blade shattered so easily, but it was cheap and my skills with chakra channeling was meh. I only had a month plus training with that skill."

Her eyes, wide and bright, focused on him happily. "I... what blade do you use?"

"A Tanto, I just bought a very expensive chakra blade. It cost my entire fortune... " they shared a laugh. "I would be happy to show you what I can do when you recover. I am sure you would love it. I have some scrolls you can read and memorize while you heal."

"Thank you, for this... you... you are a good man."

"I try. We will have to start off on a small blade. Maybe a tanto, maybe something else. You will likely need more of a defensive blade, we can work on that. I think getting you an apprenticeship in IT while I work in the hospital would be beneficial, so you can have a backup skill if we fail to help you with direct combat."

"That is the thing I am most grateful for, you found a way around my limits... thank you for that." She might have said more, but a horrible scream exploded from her body alongside a wave of chakra that was actually visible. Ghost shrieked in return, burying his nose in his paws. Mika instantly got a headache from the sharp expression of power.

There was a long, very long pause, with utter silence after the scream and then, to everyone's pleasure, Inoichi pulled his hand from the girl's temples and smiled. He was smiling.

"There, I excised your Ido. It was not a part of you, it was a pure expression of parasitic chakra, Without your chakra to draw from it faded away almost instantly. I have seen similar, if less powerful expressions from people with PTSD. You are free, Yakumo."

The girl burst into tears, horrible, body-wracking sobs. "Thank you, thank you, thank you..."

Mika, eyes wet, pulled her into a very warm hug and patted her back.

Tsunade kneeled before the girl. "Without the Ido siphoning your body, you should gain more chakra and strength over time. I will arrange for you to have a special set of protein shakes that will help you recover."

Unkai moved to Mika. "How do you feel about marrying my niece?"

Mika choked, as did Yakumo. "You do realize that I am gay, right?" The man laughed. "I am serious, I have no interest in sex with a girl or romance with a girl."

"Most marriages have nothing to do with romance, it is about mixing powerful bloodlines to create stronger children."

This time Mika whimpered. "I... uh... I... ugh..." He let his head drop. "I wanted allies and a powerful name for myself, this would compensate for both things... should I say yes?' Looking up, Mika squared his shoulders. "No, but I will work on helping your clan as an ally. Yakumo will be my friend, my student and I will be your student. If I have kids, and I am not sure if I want them, I will adopt. Too many orphans are out there without power, friends or care. I will fix that if I can."

Yakumo nodded. "I will not marry someone I do not love. Too many choices have been robbed of me..."

The man sighed. "Perhaps, then, Mika will agree to father a child of yours?"

Mika nodded. "That I can agree to, but I get to raise them and they will lead, girl or boy. I hate sexist bullshit."

"Agreed." Yakumo said and they shook hands. "Our baby will be so cute."

"I will have my sperm set aside for this, in case I die."

Yakumo nodded. "That would be wise. I will have my eggs set aside for the same. I am too afraid to have babies with my weak body, a surrogate might be our best option. We could have them rather young too. "

"Sounds like a deal."

Tsunade nodded. "I will arrange for this to be done in a week, the extraction not the baby making. Oh and Yakumo I would work on learning barrier jutsu, just in case you need it for your genjutsu, it will make things easier if you are forced into battle. Just a thought."

"I will do just that, my lady."

Unkai smiled. "Mika, your genjutsu training, when shall it begin?"

"Tuesday and Saturdays from four to eight. We can train Yakumo right then as well, in the casting and breaking of the illusions. I want Illusions to be a major part of my style, with my low chakra levels they are perfect for me for attacks. Especially if Sasuke is to be a threat, and Itachi is since he attacked Naruto and Kakashi not that long ago. Also, Unkai, you ought to send your clan in for sword and sealing and medical training. Make them more varied, it really might help."

Unkai nodded but it was Hiashi who spoke up. "Speaking of that, Tsunade six branch members will be going for medical training thanks to Mika's influence and Hinata's."

Tsunade beamed.
