Bruce groaned as he opened his eyes, the pounding of a post transformation headache making itself known. The last thing he remembered was Natasha's blazing, burning kiss… then falling and nothing but a blur of bullets and explosions. He was in a quinjet, and seemingly alone.

When Darcy's words appeared, she'd known her soulmate was going to be someone special. As she aged, and read over the words, again and again, she wondered who it could be that would ask her something quite so peculiar.

When the shield came barreling down towards him with an almighty swing, Tony had really thought that this was the last nail in the coffin. His quick reflexes had managed to save him from an instant death sentence, but when the fight was over, little did he realise that he was nursing more than just a headache. The real fight was just beginning.
