He has to live with the Avengers and Nick Fury with Thor as his "guardian". Out of their hate for him, the Avengers constantly tease, belittle, and bully Loki. More than anything else, Loki is tired. Thor, for his part, just wants to protect his brother. Post-Avengers; only the barest hint of someday possible Thorki; the folks on AO3 want a continuation but I'm not sure.

Loki has broken so much. He is the monster that people tell their children about at night. But will there finally be someone who can tell him, with such assurance, that he isn't the monster that he believes? Just a short one-shot that I haven't done a very good job of summarising. Please read
