So I've read somewhere that it was a confirmed fact that there will be no Bruce Banner in The Iron Man 3, and this little piece is my attempt at imagining why. Because he did accept Tony's offer to stay. He tried to have a life again, god knows, he tried. It just... didn't work out.

Finally Nick Fury has caught Naomi, a spy who's been on the run from S.H.E.I.L.D. for over a year but when he finds her, he gives her a deal. If she uses her powers to calm the nerves of a special doctor of theirs until his job is complete then she will be released from S.H.E.I.L.D. and no longer hunted...but what's the catch? Bruce Banner/OC.

Bruce's talk with Clint goes pretty well. Clint has seen it coming for a while, has been reading the writing on the wall, so he smiles with forced ease that says he's seen it coming, and he says it's all cool. Up and across Stark Tower Tony's conversation with Steve is going differently.

Summary: Pre Avengers: Steve Rogers pays the ailing Peggy Carter a visit at the nursing home where she now lives.
