"Have you found anything yet?" Rosalie asked Alice as she took a seat next to her on the couch. After they had gotten off the phone with the Denali Alice had been kind enough to give Rosalie the shirt she was wearing so Rosalie could have her mate's scent. After getting the shirt Rosalie locked herself in her room to try and calm down from everything that had happened since Alice had come home telling them about the woman she met in the forest. Rosalie's instincts were still on high alert because she knew that Edward and Carlisle were an ongoing threat to her mate but the scent of the woman soothed her enough to stop her from killing both of them before they got a chance to go after her mate.

"Yes, actually I found a lot." Alice said looking up from her laptop.

"Like what?" Rosalie was excited for her sister. Alice had lived for decades not knowing anything about her past. If anyone deserved to know what happened to them it was Alice.

"Well, I found records of my parents' and my sister's deaths. In my parents' obituaries it only mentioned them having one daughter, my sister Cynthia." Alice told her.

"If you weren't mentioned how do you know for a fact that they were your human family?" Rosalie asked.

"I found a picture of my niece when she was younger." Alice turned her laptop screen so Rosalie could see the picture she found.

Rosalie took in a sharp breath when she saw the face of the young woman in the picture. "That looks like a picture of you."

"I know, the resemblance is uncanny. After I saw this I knew the woman was telling the truth." Alice had been shocked when she saw a picture of her niece. She and Alice could have been twins.

"I would say so." Rosalie agreed the picture of Alice's niece was more than enough proof they were related."What else did you find?"

"I found my name listed at the graveyard I was told about but couldn't find a picture of it. Now I'm trying to find out more about the asylum the woman said I was a patient at." Alice had been frustrated with the lack of information she had found so far. "I've been running into problems because the place was shut down in the 60's and is now abandoned."

"Maybe you could go there yourself. If the place was shut down and abandoned that could mean patient records are still at the site. I would go with you if you wanted." Rosalie offered.

"I think I just we have to deal with the situation with the woman in the forest." Alice had been keeping an eye on Edward but he had been staying close to Olivia and hadn't made any decisions concerning the woman.

"What was she like?" Rosalie asked.

Alice thought about how to describe the stranger. "Like I said she looked like a fairy tale princess. All the animals were vying for her attention. When I first got there I watched as two baby foxes climbed over the bear that was laying at her feet to get her to pick them up. I actually laughed out loud at the sight. When she spoke her voice was the most beautiful sound I have ever heard and the feelings listening to her invoked in me almost brought me to tears with how loving and safe it made me feel."

"And you haven't had any visions of her?" Rosalie really wanted to meet her mate. Hearing Alice talk about her just made Rosalie more curious about the woman.

Alice shook her head. "I don't think I can. When I couldn't control my body I tried to have a vision of what was going to happen and it was like all I could see was static. I didn't even feel an urge to go to her. It was like my body had a mind of it's own and I was just along for the ride."

"Do you think you could take me to where you met her?" Rosalie asked.

"I guess I could. I don't know if we will find anything." Alice hoped if they didn't then maybe she would at least see the fox again.

"Great let's go now." Rosalie stood up from the couch and made her way to the door calling over her shoulder. "Everyone Alice and I are going out we will be back later."

Alice laughed at her sister's antics. "Rosalie slow down you don't even know the way."

"Fine but hurry up." Rosalie impatiently waited as Alice made her way out of the house.

Deeming it wasn't a good idea to tease the blond Alice just took off in the direction of the place she met the woman. Once they got to the spot Alice stopped. "I met her here."

"I don't see any obvious signs of her." Rosalie looked around disappointed. She didn't know what she expected to find but as she walked around and didn't find any clues she was overwhelmed with a feeling of sadness.

"I didn't think there would be." Alice walked over to where the woman had stood and noticed something shiny. "What's this?"

"What's what?" Rosalie watched as Alice picked up a necklace that had some kind pendant on it.

Alice turned the pendant over in her hand." I think the woman might have dropped this when she was here."

"Let me see." Rosalie took the offered necklace from Alice and looked it over. It was a yellow flower that was incased in some kind of glass. It looked like a living flower and felt warm to the touch. "It's a butter cup flower."

"Maybe one of the birds that were putting flowers in her hair accidentally unlatched it and it fell off." Alice said.

Rosalie took the necklace and put it around her neck. As soon as it touched her skin she felt a warmth flow through out her body. The unnatural coldness that was seeped into her bones ever since she was changed into a vampire all but disappeared. Her entire body felt like it was being wrapped up in a warm hug. "Woah."

"What's wrong?" Alice asked.

"Nothing is wrong. Every thing is perfect, more than perfect. I feel warm." Rosalie didn't know how the necklace worked but what she did know was she was never taking it off if she didn't have to.

Alice reached out and touched Rosalie's skin. "You feel warm too. You could easily pass for human."

"Amazing." Rosalie didn't know what to make of the necklace. It didn't offer them any clues to what the woman was or how to find her but it did make Rosalie feel close to her mate.

"Let's get home. I'm sure the Denali are there by now. I think we should tell them about this." Alice was positive the others would want to know. Maybe it would even help them figure out what the woman was.

Rosalie just nodded in reply and trailed after Alice. The feelings the necklace brought reminded her of the warm embraces her grandmother would give her when she would turn to her when Rosalie's mother was being especially horrible to Rosalie. It made her feel like she was loved and cared for. Like she wasn't so alone in the world anymore. She didn't know if that was because the necklace belonged to her mate or if it was just the necklace itself but it made Rosalie feel at peace for the first time in over a century. It also made her realize that whoever her mate was she was something extraordinary and Rosalie couldn't wait until she finally had the chance to meet her.
