This story was inspired by the song Love Song For A Vampire by Annie Lenox. All other songs unless credited to specific artist are written by me:

"Rose!" Rosalie sighed as Alice ignored the shut door to her bedroom and barged in without knocking. She put a bookmark in her book knowing that she wouldn't be continuing to read it any time soon. When Alice was this excited it usually took a while to calm her down just to get her to tell you what she was excited about. If Rosalie was lucky it would be something that she could pawn Alice off on someone else to deal with.

"I told you not to call me that." Rosalie hated when people called her Rose. Only one person had gotten away with calling her that and since losing her Rosalie was never going to give anyone else that privilege.

"Rose you aren't going to believe it." Alice ignored Rosalie's objections to the nickname like she alway did.

"What am I not going to believe?" Rosalie hoped that getting to the point would make Alice leave her alone faster.

"I finally got my hands on front row tickets to the Bella Swan concert in Seattle tomorrow night!" Noticing Rosalie's lack of excitement Alice put her hands on Rosalie's shoulders and started to shake her. "How are you not excited about this?!"

Rosalie pushed Alice off of her. "I'm not excited because I'm not a fan of Bella Swan."

"Don't lie Rosalie we both know you listen to her albums in your garage." Alice wasn't fooled. Rosalie was a fan of the famous singer. She just for some reason didn't like to admit it.

"I like a couple of her songs. I am in no way as obsessed as you are." Rosalie did like Bella Swan's music. For some reason the woman's voice sounded familiar to her. When she had first seen the YouTube video of her singing Rosalie had thought she had seen a ghost. If it wasn't for the fact that Bella looked a lot younger than the person Rosalie had known she would have been convinced they were the same person. They were not though. Still Bella Swan made her feel closer to her human life and Rosalie liked to listen to her music to immerse herself in memories.

"I'm not obsessed." Alice denied. "I just think she is very talented."

Rosalie rolled her eyes. "You just like that she sings about vampires."

"She only sings that one song about vampires and it's a beautiful song. Even you have to admit that." Alice said.

"It's a gimmick. Didn't she write it for the soundtrack for that new vampire movie that came out?" Rosalie asked.

"I liked her way before she released that song and so did you." Alice didn't know why Rosalie constantly denied liking Bella Swan. It made no sense as Rosalie never had a problem defending her interests to anyone. That she fought this so hard made Alice believe that something else was going on.

"Sure just keep on telling yourself that Alice." Rosalie said.

"Fine you don't like her. I guess that means you don't want to go with would probably like the extra ticket." Alice knew Rosalie would take the bait. She had had a vision of Rosalie smashing her laptop while trying to buy tickets online the day they went on sale for the fan club. The fact that Rosalie was a paid member of the fan club was something Alice never told her she knew.

Rosalie did want to go. She wanted to go very badly. She had been trying to get tickets herself and had been unsuccessful. Bella Swan fans were diehards and didn't like to resell their tickets. Rosalie had even tried to get some through scalpers but none of them had been selling any good seats. The VIP backstage passes were like the holy grail in their scarcity and even the thirty grand bounty she put out on the fan sites had been unclaimed. "I don't think Esme would want to go. That's not really her crowd."

"Well I guess I could sell the ticket then." Alice said.

"No, I'll take it. You don't want to be stuck with some strange human next to you guys." Rosalie was well aware that Alice didn't buy her excuse for a second. "What seats did you get?"

Alice smiled. She knew Rosalie would give in. "I got front row center. Right in front of the main stage."

"Were you able to get VIP passes?" Rosalie asked trying to appear nonchalant.

"No unfortunately no one is reselling any. If we were sitting in the farthest seats we would have a chance at the lottery but I thought getting closer to the stage was worth it more than just getting an opportunity for a chance to get backstage." At Bella Swan concerts she offered the people in the worst seats a chance to be picked in a lottery to receive backstage passes to her after concert meet and greet. When looking for tickets Alice had been surprised that some of the worst seats were going for more than the front row seats she bought. Then again Bella Swan fans were some of the most dedicated.

"I agree that better seats are more important." Rosalie was saddened not to get the chance to meet Bella but figured seeing her perform live was better than nothing.

"So now that you are definitely going what are you going to wear?" Alice asked excitedly.

"Just some jeans and a sweater. Nothing fancy." Rosalie wanted to put a lot more effort into her outfit but didn't what to look like she was trying hard to get noticed by the singer. Even if she could admit only to herself that she really did want catch Bella's eye.

Alice threw up her hands in exasperation. "No, Rosalie you have to dress up. Going to a Bella Swan concert is an experience. If you don't dress up then you will look lame and I refuse to hang out with anyone who looks lame."

"What should I wear then?" Rosalie was happy Alice was the one making her dress up. That meant she would be able to be as flashy as she wanted.

"Well we are going to be front row so we have to be extra fabulous so we can make an impression on Bella." Alice made her way into Rosalie's closet. "How about that black dress with the silver embroidery?"

Rosalie thought about the dress. It was eye catching but was it eye catching enough? "I don't think that's right for this kind of thing."

"Let's see. How about these?" Alice held up a black mini skirt and a rainbow sequenced halter top.

"I like that." The outfit would show off her body but still be fashionable enough not to look trashy. The sequence top would catch the light and hopefully have enough of an impact to bring attention to Rosalie.

"I thought it was great too." Alice was proud of her choice. She knew Rosalie had wanted to meet Bella and hoped that this outfit would catch her eye from onstage. Bella was the first person Rosalie had shown any interest in since Alice had known her. No other men or women, human or vampire had sparked any kind of emotion from the blond and that made Alice want to help Rosalie meet Bella. She was still working on how to make it happen though.

"What time are we leaving?" Rosalie asked.

"Well it's already early morning and we want to be able to get parking so we will leave about 3pm."

"Alright I'll be ready." Rosalie made a motion for Alice to leave her room.

Alice rolled her eyes as she went to leave calling over her shoulder. "I know you will."

Rosalie ignored Alice and waited until the door was shut before jumping up and locking it. Once it was locked she sat at her window seat and cued up her stereo to play Love Song for a Vampire. She would never admit it to anyone but she loved this song. When listening to it she felt like Bella understood her feelings better than Rosalie did herself. There was such longing that Rosalie knew that Bella was singing from experience. The thing that stuck out the most about the song to her though was the way Bella's voice cracked on the part of having a rose and losing the flower to winter. It sounded like Bella was holding back a sob as she finished those lines. Rosalie felt silly thinking that the line was about her dying in winter but the thought wouldn't go away.

As with all things Bella Swan, Rosalie was brought back once again to thoughts of Isabella. Isabella was Rosalie's first and only love whom she knew when she was human. They had met at some boring party her parents threw to try and impress the higher members of society. Rosalie had snuck outside to escape her mother introducing her to yet another son of some wealthy businessman. It was there she saw Isabella Lubud sitting on a porch swing swaying back and forth like she didn't have a care in the world. Before she had locked eyes with Isabella Rosalie would have told you love at first sight was just a saying but as soon as she looked at those green orbs she was a goner. As a vampire she thought the feeling was as close to a mate bond as you could get for a human.

That night began their four month affair. Isabella had been everything Rosalie had ever dreamed of for a romantic partner. Once Rosalie had mentioned that she always wanted to go out to a dance club and the next night Isabella had shown up at her window dressed very convincingly as a man. They spent the night until the early hours dancing, only stopping to eat and get drinks. It was one of the greatest nights of Rosalie's life. A night that was only eclipsed by the first time Isabella told her she loved her. They had made love for the first time after Isabella had spoken those words which Rosalie easily repeated. After that they were inseparable. Rosalie had even convinced her parents to let her go to college before she accepted any marriage proposals. The plan was for Rosalie and Isabella to get an apartment together while Rosalie went to school and after she graduated the pair were going to travel around the world. Money was never going to be a problem because Isabella was the heiress to a shipping magnate and had more money then they could have used in their lifetime. Their future together was planned out and it was going to be perfect.

That is until one winter night in 1931 while Isabella had been away dealing with her family's business Rosalie had gone to visit her friend Vera to play with her newborn son. Rosalie was excited to see the boy as she had always loved children. She and Isabella had been planning on adopting when they finally settled down. It had gotten later than Rosalie had realized and even though she shouldn't have she refused to let Vera's husband walk her home. She had made the trip enough times that she had felt safe. It was five blocks from her home that she encountered Royce King and his wealthy friends. They had been drunk and seen her as an easy target. After they were through with her Rosalie prayed to god that she would be saved and would see Isabella again. That of course didn't happen. Carlisle had found her and changed her instead.

When she had woken up three days later she had to be restrained by Carlisle, Esme, Edward, Emmett and his mate Veronica. All she wanted was to find Isabella and tell her she was alive. It was after she finally calmed down that they explained what she had become and why she couldn't seek out her beloved. Rosalie was undeterred though. She figured all she needed to do was gain enough control around humans then she could find Isabella. She knew that her love would accept her and would probably want to become a vampire with her. In the mean time news came that the men who had assaulted her were all found dead. Each body had been mangled beyond repair and Carlisle was concerned a vampire was in their territory attacking people. They were all convinced that whoever killed the men so brutally had known of their crime against Rosalie because a handwritten confession was found at every crime scene. The police had no leads in neither the murders or her disappearance and Carlisle found no trace of anything supernatural around the bodies and was unsure how they were killed.

Rosalie knew in her heart that Isabella had something to do with it and no matter how hard the others tried they couldn't convince her otherwise. The first year of her inhuman life Rosalie never slipped once around humans. It was after she had gone through numerous tests that she was finally able to go find Isabella but when she went to enquire about her she found out that a month after Rosalie had been turned Isabella had left and no one knew where. When Rosalie had reached out to the shipping company her family owned they claimed they never heard of anyone named Isabella Lubud. Rosalie hadn't known what to think and for a time she thought that her time with Isabella was just a dream that she had while she was turning into a vampire. It wasn't until she visited her own gravestone that she got confirmation that Isabella had been real and what they had was powerful.

The inscription on her gravestone after daughter and sister were the words. The Rarest Rose That Ever Deigned To Bloom. Isabella had said on the first night they made love that Rosalie was the rarest rose that ever bloomed. That was the beginning of Isabella calling her Rose. It was also what made Rosalie sure that the song she was listening to right now was about her. It could be a coincidence but with all the other evidence piling up Rosalie believed Bella Swan was either related to Isabella or that she was the reincarnation of her lost love. As the song ended Rosalie sighed to herself as she restarted it. That night she was going to see Bella Swan in person and she didn't know if she was more excited or fearful. She just hoped that whatever happened Rosalie would figure out how she was connected to Bella Swan.
