While Adora talked to Sea Hawk, Hordak was in his company's building, while brainstorming his latest scheme. Hordak was a black-haired man, who was forty-five and was clad in a black business suit. He usually had a sinister look on his face when he thought his plans were going to work and an angry frown when his plans failed. As Sea Hawk had assumed, Hordak was very upset about Sea Hawk getting Keldor's former building and he wanted to take the building away from him. In order to make his plan a reality, he had told his henchgirl, Catra, to have a meeting in his office. Hordak looked at his watch, with an impatient look on his face. Catra was late, which greatly upset Hordak.
Several minutes later, Hordak's secretary, Mr. Buono, stepped into the office and said, "Sir, Catra has arrived."
Hordak replied, "Then send her in as quickly as possible."
Mr. Buono responded, "Okay, Mr. Hordak."
Catra pranced into Hordak's office and started doing a summersault around his desk. Hordak angrily growled at her and said, "I don't have time for your immaturity, especially considering how much time you've already wasted."
Catra was a red-haired woman, who was twenty-six and had a passionate desire, for action-packed chaos. She was wearing a gothic, black dress and she had a vicious-looking grin on her face. She failed to see the importance of being on-time, because she wasn't the type of person, who valued following the rules. She sat down, crossed her legs, and asked, "What's up, Hordak?"
Hordak straightened his tie and tried to act dignified and mature, to compensate for Catra's rule-breaking, goofy attitude. He said, "I have an important job, that I need you to take care of."
Catra grinned, while asking, "Does it involve mayhem?"
Hordak replied, "You could say that. It certainly involves me showing Sea Hawk who's boss. He got the business building, from Keldor, that I had been desiring."
Catra had very little interest in conversations that involved business, so she angrily sighed and said, "You better start talking about something interesting, pipe-boy."
Hordak frowned at her, before saying, "This is very interesting, my bothersome goofball. You see, I need to get that building or, at the very least, make sure Sea Hawk gains nothing from it. He had to pay a good sum of money to get the building, so he'll this building to stay in operation, for a very long time. I want you to keep that from happening."
Catra was only moderately interested, while asking, "What am I supposed to do?"
Hordak had an evil smile on his face, while saying, "Perform any acts of chaos, that you want, as long as you rough the place up. Scratch the walls, break the items Sea Hawk's planning on selling, and make the office a bigger disaster, than it already is. Sea Hawk's a formidable opponent, even as a brainless man, but he still makes blundering mistakes. One of them was hiring some slapstick-riddled goofball, who throws coffee at everybody." Hordak looked amused, while saying, "Sea Hawk's already putting his new business at risk, but I have to put him through so much more. A few bad business decisions, on his part, won't be enough to stop him. Seeing his new building, wrecked to shreds, might break that greedy spirit of his." He did an evil laugh.
Catra had a sneaky grin on her face, while replying, "I must admit, that this plan sounds up my alley."
Hordak responded, "Good. Tonight, after Sea Hawk and his employees leave, break into the building and turn it into rubble."
Catra replied, "Okay." She shook hands with Hordak and started flopping out of the building. Hordak wasn't always fond of having such an outlandish henchgirl, but in this particular case, he thought she'd be the perfect person, to make his evil dream a reality.
During the afternoon, Sheriff Adora went home and rested up, so she'd be full of energy, when it came time to protect Sea Hawk's new building. When it got close to nighttime, Adora got out of bed and started getting ready. She got into her car and drove to the building. By then, most of the workers had left, except for a few employees, who were desperate to get a raise. Adora walked inside, while the few remaining people packed up and started heading out.
Adora accidentally bumped into Perfuma, once again. Perfuma put her hand on her forehead and said, "I messed up, again. I keep trying and trying, to be careful, but then I get distracted. I'm pretty weird, aren't I?"
Adora calmly replied, "It's okay, Perfuma. You're here, again?"
Perfuma jokingly responded, "Yes, I felt like doing some more loitering. The more loitering, the better."
Adora jokingly replied, "Well, that sure does sound like fun. Perhaps the two of us should go on a loitering spree, together."
Perfuma smiled and responded, "Sounds wonderful." She paused and said, "Tom had to work overtime, tonight. Well, I guess he didn't have to, but Sea Hawk's been insisting he do more work, which drives him crazy, because he does more work than Sea Hawk's precious Swift Wind, who pretty much does nothing. What are you doing here?"
Adora said, "Sea Hawk hired me to guard the building. He's under the impression, that Hordak's sidekicks are going to try to rob his new building. I'm not sure if he's well prepared or just paranoid."
Perfuma replied, "Hordak tends to go to insane lengths, to compete with Sea Hawk, so it makes sense for Sea Hawk to be scared and stuff. I hope you have fun, with guarding the place." She paused and said, "Well, I know guarding a building isn't exactly fun, but I hope you have an okay time. If you want, I could stay here and keep you company."
Adora responded, "I appreciate the sweet offer, but having company might distract me."
Perfuma replied, "I totally understand. I probably need a goodnight's rest, anyways. I'm going to get going, as soon as Tom's ready to go. Speaking of Tom, I haven't seen him in the last twenty minutes. He's probably working hard or having a private meeting with the boss." She looked at Kyle and asked, "Where's Tom?"
Kyle replied, "Tom left, about a half-hour ago."
Perfuma asked, "What?"
Kyle replied, "He waved to you, but you probably didn't see it."
Perfuma facepalmed and said, "I can't believe I've been standing here, not knowing Tom had left."
Adora put her hand on Perfuma's shoulder and replied, "It's okay. After all, Tom should of made more of an effort, to let you know he was leaving. He should of walked up to you and told you that, rather than make a fleeting wave."
Perfuma responded, "Maybe, but if anything, it's probably my fault. Anyways, I better get going. I hope to see you again, Sheriff Adora. I'll try to keep myself, from knocking into you, next time."
Adora replied, "Okay."
Perfuma was about to walk away, but she turned around and asked, "Do you think I'm a fool?"
Adora confidently answered, "No I don't. I think you're a sweet person, who's just feeling a bit out of it, because of what your boyfriend is going through. Don't blame yourself for his problems."
Perfuma hugged Adora and replied, "Thank you." After the hug was over, Perfuma had an embarrassed look on her face, while saying, "Oh, no. I probably shouldn't of hugged you, right? After all, we've only talked a couple times, so I don't know if we could consider each other friends, yet."
Adora responded, "You're a friend."
Perfuma replied, "Thank you. You're the best." Adora and Perfuma smiled at each other, before Perfuma walked out of the building.
Adora walked around the building, while trying to get ready for any intruders, that might try to break into the building. Adora had been given permission and keys, from Sea Hawk, to go to any room of the building, that she wanted. Sea Hawk had done this, in order to impress Adora, which didn't work as well as he had hoped. Adora went into Sea Hawk's office. After searching through his desk, she found out he carried guns and swords, in one of his cabinets, which Adora thought was concerning and off-putting. To Adora, it seemed like Sea Hawk wasn't very friendly or easy going, when it came to intruders.
After walking out of Sea Hawk's office, Adora walked around the building's main office. Everybody else had left and they had turned off all of the lights. Adora turned on some of the lights, so she'd able to keep a better eye out, for intruders. She walked by the windows and made sure all of them were locked. She also made sure, that every door was locked. Adora stood around the building, in silence. She wasn't sure what she was supposed to do, except for keep her eyes peeled for intruders. Part of her questioned whether or not anybody would actually try to break in. Sea Hawk seemed entirely convinced, that Hordak's goons would attempt to break in and perform a robbery.
For over a half hour, the building was almost completely silent. If anything, things seemed peaceful and safe. However, that gentleness didn't last long. Adora started hearing a sound, that sounded like somebody pulling on the door. Adora ran to the front door and peeked around, but nobody was there.
Adora returned to the main office and started hearing a sound, that sounded like somebody trying to open one of the windows. Adora turned around and saw Catra, who had been trying to get in. Adora gave Catra a disapproving look, but Catra was grinning. She used the power agility of her legs, to kick the window and smash it. Catra jumped inside and did a villainous laugh.
Adora faced Catra, while trying to look intimidating and asking, "What are you doing here?"
Catra wasn't expecting to see Adora. To her, it was a pleasant surprise, even though she knew Adora would be a lot harder to defeat, than the guards Sea Hawk would normally hire. Catra said, "Catra, it's great to see you." She stretched out her arms and said, "Give me a hug."
Adora angrily asked, "Are you kidding me?"
Catra patted Adora's shoulder, while saying, "No need to be uptight, dearie."
Adora stopped Catra, from touching her shoulder. Afterwards, she said, "You know what? I'm glad to see you."
Catra had a seductive grin on her face, while replying, "I was hoping you would and believe me, I sure missed you."
Catra started touching Adora's face, so Adora pushed her off of her and said, "You're working for Hordak, once again, aren't you?"
Catra pretended to look serious, while replying, "I can't confirm, whether or not I work for pipe-boy."
Adora folded her arms and responded, "That's because Hordak constantly gets involved in illegal parents and makes sure, that he never gets the credit for it. Don't you realize, that he's having you take all of the blame, for his master plans?"
Catra replied, "It's an honor, to be the one, who's known as the solo master of chaos." She did a chaotic-sounding laugh, while having a freaky grin on her face.
Adora asked, "What are you doing here?"
Catra smirked and replied, "I've been itching to cause some damage, to a place of value. This place really fits the bill, wouldn't you say? It's so overly-professional and fancy."
Adora responded, "It's riddled with food crumbs and coffee stains."
Catra replied, "That's charming, but there's a lot more damage that could happen to this place. If I'm not the one who causes that damage, I'll be awfully ashamed of myself." She paused, while realizing she didn't know the reason Adora was doing there. She tried to walk closer to Adora, but Adora made sure there was a distance between them. Catra asked, "Why are you here?"
Adora explained, "Sea Hawk hired me to guard this place. He was under the impression that Hordak would send his henchmen to break into this place. It seemed like his paranoid predication was true."
Catra burst into a silly laugh, before saying, "Come on, my dear Adora. You're a smart girl, so you should be able to realize Sea Hawk was wrong. I can do far more damage, than an entire team of henchmen. After all, who needs the henchmen of overplayed action scenes, when you can have the henchwoman of unpredictable goofiness?" She did a goofy-sounding laugh.
Adora replied, "You're the one, who should come on. You're talking and acting like a corny villain, from a cartoon or a comic book."
Catra smirked and responded, "That's not a bad piece of flattery, my dear."
Adora sternly said, "You need to leave the building. Also, you need to surrender and be arrested, for the people you've hurt, the property damage you caused, and any other crimes you may of caused."
Catra replied, "That doesn't sound too bad, if you're the one who arrests me. Perhaps, you can check in on me, every day of my prison sentence, and we can joke around."
Adora said, "You need to stop living up to your bizarre, fake name."
Catra tried to look offended, while asking, "Fake? I'll have you know that Ms. Catra Goofball represents who I really am a lot more, than my previous name."
Adora raised an eyebrow and asked, "What is your actual name?"
Catra replied, "It's nice you want to get to know me better. Maybe I'll share my name with you, if you tell me your middle name and last name."
Adora grabbed Catra and started reaching for her handcuffs, while saying, "You have the right to remain silent."
Catra grinned, while replying, "I'm not a silent film star." Adora pulled the handcuffs out of her pocket and put them on Catra's hands. Catra clapped and said, "You have fast reflexes. I admire that and I can relate to that."
Adora responded, "I'm taking you to jail, so you can put away your joking attitude, because this isn't a humorous situation."
Catra replied, "I beg to differ, dearie. A simple pair of handcuffs isn't enough to stop me. I got strength that's beyond anything you can expect." Catra started pulling, to try to break the handcuffs. She kept pulling and pulling, until her hands broke free.
Adora had a shocked look on her face, while Catra threw the handcuffs away. Adora asked, "How did you manage to do that?"
Catra replied, "You're not the first police officer who's tried to arrest me. I managed to break the handcuffs, each and every time."
Adora said, "I'm no longer a police officer. I'm a sheriff. Because of that, you can expect to be put into a prison cell that'll be heavily guarded."
Catra put her hand on Adora's shoulder and replied, "Congratulations on the promotion. That former sheriff was getting old and unpleasant looking. It's about time this city had some eye candy in charge of things. You're such the cutie, that most criminals would probably be so distracted by you, that you'd be able to easily beat them up. I must admit I'm one of those criminals, who finds you rather distracting."
Adora was getting uncomfortable from Catra's compliments, so she said, "Cut it out. Stop trying to act like you care about me."
Catra replied, "Adora, I'm a lair. I'm a rotten, frequent liar, but when it comes to you, I'm only speaking out blabs of honesty. You and I could have an amazing future, together."
Adora folded her arms and responded, "I want nothing to do with you."
Catra replied, "When I look at you, I don't just see beauty. I see potential. You and I could be a duo." Adora shook her head. Catra said, "You've got the intelligence and the fierceness, while I have the strength and the goofiness."
Adora said, "I'm not going to work with you."
Catra replied, "Come on, dearie."
Adora gave Catra an intimidating look, while saying, "You better surrender. If you don't, I'll have to fight you."
Catra had an amused look on her face, while replying, "Wow, we've only been on two dates and we're about to have our second fight. Talk about chemistry."
Adora started running towards Catra, but Catra used her quick agility, to avoid the attack. Catra jumped around and started kicking Adora. Adora kicked her back, but Catra grabbed her and threw her across the room. Adora grabbed an empty file cabinet and pushed it towards Catra. Catra jumped out of the way, in order to avoid getting hurt. She picked up the file cabinet and had a vicious grin on her face, while throwing it at Adora. She was about to do an evil laugh, before she stopped and realized what she had done. She had injured the person, with whom she wanted to start a partnership with. She ran towards Adora. Adora was passed out and was in a lot of pain.
Catra gently rubbed Adora's face, while saying, "I'm sorry." She dug around and found a comforter that Swift Wind often used when he wanted to a take a nap at work. Catra put it on Adora and gave Adora a pillow and a teddy bear, which she also got from Swift Wind's desk. She patted Adora's head and said, "Sleep tight. I'm not going to harm you, anymore." She paused and said, "I believe I've put myself through enough sentimentality. It's time for fun." She did an evil-sounding laugh and started messing around the building. She ripped holes in the walls, punched doors in half, smashed some desks, threw away bottles of drinkable shampoo, and the file cabinet, that hurt Adora, with her fists. After the building looked like a mess, Catra did an evil laugh and slipped out of the building.
