Like so many of us in the Criminal Minds fandom, I have read a plethora of fanfiction that eventually leads to Dr. Reid getting kidnapped and/or hurt by the unsub of the week. However, there is a trend that the assorted unnamed police officers accompanying the team are quickly and easily killed off. What would these instances look like if these officers were a little self-aware?
